The couch was finally delivered and it was in this position that Agadmator reclined.
Everytime you say "what's the idea here?" And the situation has nothing to do with chess it always makes me laugh and I think it's beautiful. Everything can be looked at like a move on a chessboard.
Capablanca was often lazy and like: "When I find a way to deliver checkmate in 15, I will not look for another way of doing it in 7".

I’ve watched every video on your channel since you had 1000 subscribers. At the time I had never really played chess before. I knew the rules from when I was a child, but no idea how to actually play. The only things I’ve learned have been from your videos and I’ve improved significantly. Even the little explanation of the windmill checkmate will help me in future games and you continue to put our great, fun, and educational content. Just want to say thanks for helping me discover the beauty in chess and I appreciate all you do for the chess community. But Rosenthal's best result was probably a draw against Capa. Calling him a GM is a bit weird but if you do call him that, he was just barely one and only in modern terms. And what 2500 GM would fail to take a draw when Carlson offered it? Reminds me of Soltis(?) quote: We both agreed to a draw out of mutual fear/respect: him for my much higher rating, me for his much better position!"
Actually I'd refuse because just having Capablanca offering a draw is enough and besides, I might win.

I had a similar story but even more annoying. I bought a fridge and had to wait 2 weeks for it to be delivered. I kept all food on the balcony (fortunately it was winter) because my old fridge was out of order - this is why I had to buy a new one
I think that Rosenthal offered a draw just so he could hear Capablanca say "yeah I'll take that draw"

If black draws or win that means it was a good game. It is a beauty of the game that you have certain moves and even go for free. But when you are loosing then either fight till the end or resign.

Clearly beneath that beautiful hoody donned upon Jacob Carl Rosenthal was in fact... Capablanca's twin brother Raul Jose Capablanca! Raul was tired of winning so many games against Jose that he decided to ask for his first ever draw.
Agadmator's new couch is a pinned peice, that's why he hasn't gotten it just yet.
It was a nice combination, the couch plays sofa G2 pushing back the recliner. Agad counters with "what's the idea here?" and couch plays "we dont really care" and it was in this position that the players agreed to a draw.
why did they agree to a draw? a perpetual is unavoidable in this position, after sofa B7 girlfriend E4 etc
Story behind the couch, deliver company (D), adagmator (A):
D opens with delivery in one week.
A replies with removing the old couch to prepare a nice sqaure for the new couch.
D proceeeds with delaying delivery for one week, this comes with check, so A has to wait.
A waits as he has no other moves.
D proceeds with delaying one more day, this comes also with check and as A has the only square he could move planned for helping his mother, this could be check mate. But luckily A's girlfriend moved to protect the king. And it was in this position the players agreed to a draw as here is nothing more to do here for both sides.
