    I tried the stove top method as I don’t have waffle iron. It worked perfectly n the result was great,the waffles were delicious n crispy too. 😋 Thank u for this amazing tutorial. If I hadn’t watched this,I would have never known I could recreate this without an iron! ☺️

    I was afraid you would give the instructions in a language other than English. I also found it very helpful that you gave Imperial and Metric measurements. Americans DO NOT understand ml's and grams. That was a big help to everyone. I recently bought a funky waffle iron, but didn't realize it was this shallow type of waffle iron. It is in the mail, it looks like it could be used to make Stroopwafels or ice cream cones. I can't wait to try your recipe. Thank you for posting this video.

      @@FineArtofCooking : Just a few moments ago I shared your video with the worldwide community of an ornamental fish forum. A young moderator (her mum is Chinese) opened a thread on cooking - one of the most popular ones: at present there are 970 posts (the last one being mine). A lady from Florida mentioned her (apparently common) problem of not having a waffle iron. These are never really cheap and postage makes it worse. My late mum would have very much rejoiced at your obviously great intelligence and refinement. God bless you and your family.

    Hello Marie. How are you getting through these Corona-times? I have made acquaintance with a professionally trained French pastry chef (cooking is her passion) and promised her to forward this tutorial you made - if and when I found it... A while ago I finally did. I already sent her a (written) recipe for amandelbroodjes, another treat from the Netherlands. She lost no time and made them. Perhaps you could make a tutorial on amandelbroodjes (puff pastry filled with ground almonds)? Your practical hints are precious... Greetings from Italy.

      @@FineArtofCooking Thank you. I am following your advice. That is not difficult: especially at the outbreak, people would literally change direction at the sight of my almond-shaped eyes, hahaha. As if I were a zombie. I have always been very well aware that I am anything but good-looking (by Italian standards), but a zombie...lol.
      BTW, do I guess correctly that you live in the States or Canada? When I see the Chinese writing that goes with your videos, I regret that my family lost contact with the language of origin...

    I tried it but my dough was sticky so i added more flour then be better , why my dough was sticky? And in this recipe not put milk in it , is that ok not put milk there? And use soft butter or melted butter ?

    • @FineArtofCooking
      @FineArtofCooking  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for watching. The texture of the dough is similar to a pie crust or cookie so we don't need milk like we would for cakes. The soft butter, egg, and sugar, should be wet enough to make the dough. If you add milk, your dough will be too wet and sticky. Please refer to the ingredient list in the description box. I hope this helps.
