- Our Experimental Field: This year we no-till planted 60 inch Corn with Soybeans and Cover Crop. The field was planted using Regenerative Farming practices. Johnson-Su Compost & Vermicompost was made into a compost extract and applied to the seed as an inoculant.

Interesting video! Did I hear you on the No-Till Farmer podcast talking about your vermicompost extracts? I enjoy watching and learning from people who are innovating and not afraid to do things differently so I’ll be subscribing. G’day from Brisbane Australia.
Thanks for the videos. I like watching them.
@gibbsfieldfarms are you going to share an update on the non GMO field? How did the 60 inch corn test plot do.
Hopefully soon. Been very busy. Non gmo corn looked really good but we were in a D4 drought this year, it only yielded 150 bushel. 60” corn was 125 bushel. We are hoping for more rain in 2024 so we see some better results. 👍🌱
What experiments have you done that have gone into production?
60” wide corn has been adopted on small scale across the United States and also in other countries. Works good for grazing cattle after harvest if managed properly. Non gmo corn has also been widely grown and used for specialty markets as well.
@@gibbsfieldfarms I work in software engineering and one of the complexities is designing experiments that make sense on a larger scale and can reasonably be leveraged when successful.
