A lengthy and crappy quality of our attempt on installing a Wald Style Trunk Spoiler on Dylan’s Lexus ISF. Overall, the quality is amazing and fitment was on point considering it didn’t cost much. To each his own but this was well worth the money spent.

Looking great! I have the same ducktail on mine. I pretty much followed the same steps, but I used some 100 grit to scuff up the underside before putting the 3m tape on and heated both surfaces slightly before pressing down on the tape. Oh, and goo gone helped a lot with removing the tape residue, just takes quite a bit of elbow grease haha
Yeah the residue can be a pain. I would use the eraser wheel or the adhesive remover. Its my go to.

Do you guys think I could put this on a 2014 Lexus IS 250 I really like the wing but it says 2006 to 2013 I looked at the 2014 wings and it doesn’t seem to have a difference could any of y’all let me know why it wouldn’t fit?
any water in the trunk from the 10mm holes?
I got the CF replica version. Fits well, though the one I got had some sort of clear coat under it where you put the tape. I ended up having to remove all of the 3M tape because the clear coat ended up flaming off, causing the 3M tape to not stick
Yeah always use a solution to prep the surface to take any grease, adhesive, paint or whatever before laying anything down.
Great video!! My trunk lid was damaged and I replaced it with one that already had a spoiler installed. The trunk lid is now a bit heavier, pops open but does not lift much initially. Are there upgraded trunk dampers/shocks that can be installed to compensate for this additional wieght of the lid? (I had to do this upgrade for a 09 TSX).Thanks.

I bought mine from viví-carplus 5599 on eBay painted for $205 and it turned out great from Taiwan. Except I paid $100 for install.

Hey! I have a question about removing the rear lip spoiler. I have a 2010 IS350C and I wanted to remove the spoiler for a carbon overlay. If I do that, would it damage the brackets that hold the lip in place? I heard it was riveted in.
If you wanted to take the double sided tape off how do you do so?
That part on the trunk that the spoiler did not cover where the glue was showing, did buddy end up getting the glue off the paint? That would bug me for sure lol When I get an ISF I would make rear the end look exactly how that black one looks , not sure though if i would want the 2 red reflective dots on the bottom diffuser though, I have seen where you can get them with out the 2 red reflective dots. Yo Lam! I just bought an isf that came with a spoiler. Looks like a wald, how can I tell whether it’s real or replica? It’s carbon fiber around the emblem too.
Doesn't matter if it's real or not bro just put it on and it'll look good regardless lol
+kantstandlamgarage do you think the eBay spoiler will fit directly over an is350 stock spoiler without removing in?
Nope you need to remove the old spoiler. It’ll get in the way
Man how did you get the trunk emblem to fit? I've bought two spoilers and numerous emblems and have yet to find one that matches up.
It fit perfectly.. Problem is most of the replica ones from a while ago has a bulge in the center causing the emblem to protrude out. His was relatively flat.

what did you plug the bolt holes and the plastic inserts with so water doesn't sneak into the trunk???
I didn’t plug them but some tape should do it. Im going to remove the trunk cover again and tape them up. Should be able to get to them, or at least most of them lol
Kantstandlam Garage yea I'm in the process of wetsanding and buffing my wald type trunk spoiler, and roof spoiler. It's just kinda hard to tell if the inserts are preventing my spoiler from going all the way down.
Yeah its a tough call man. But those clips are very thin. So i don’t think it would affect it much
damn why is the ticking so loud with your car? i know in general they have a loud direct injection but damn that ticks really loud with yours
hgubary yeah I have no idea. Was told it was perfectly fine for Toyotas. My oil levels are fine. Only thing I can think of is a slight exhaust leak somewhere that's causing the high ticking note

You can buy them from any seller. I've had a couple friends buy from different sellers, including myself, and just test fitting it on was a near perfect fitment.
