Adrian Peterson discusses how he’s been preparing to come back for his 15th season in the NFL, viewing Tom Brady and Drew Brees’ longevity as motivation for his extended career, as well as his desire to win a Super Bowl. He dives into the Lions’ decision to trade Matthew Stafford, and the Rams’ 2021 outlook with the veteran QB.
AP & Shannon cover the extent of Peterson’s career, starting with his challenging upbringing in Palestine, TX. AP revisits his time at the University of Oklahoma, including the team’s loss to his second-choice school USC in the National Championship. They also go through his experience joining the Vikings as the 7th pick in 2007, including the tragic death of his brother on the night before the Combine, and the strength of his draft class.
Peterson names his Mount Rushmore of running backs, relays stories from his incredible rookie season and beyond, discusses things he would have done differently throughout his career and even rehashes his disappointment in Shannon’s comments about him signing with the Saints in 2017.

I was born in 1989. I never got too see some of the greats play before i was born. In eyes even through the 90s and all of 2000's. This is the best RB i ever seen play football. Speed, Vision, Power and The ability to make people miss, Adrian Peterson was the most feared runner i ever seen.

AP has been a pleasure to watch. I've been watching him since his freshman year at Oklahoma he was amazing I knew he was going to be huge and he was. If he didn't get suspended and then got hurt he would have been the NFL's all time leading rusher easily.

I heard Sharpe say that Adrian Peterson should have retired while he was with the Saints. The next year Adrian rushed for over 1,000 yards with the Redskins. Sharpe still refuses to own what he said. All Day proved him wrong.

I know what you're saying but I'll almost never put sole blame on players like Favre and Peterson for a loss. Those plays obviously had an unfortunate result, but if it wasn't for Favre and AD, they never would have been in the playoffs to begin with. Football is such a team sport, can't pin a loss all on one player
