Exhausts sound so much better when they’re out the back
Old mate's GMC Sierra needs quick release fittings on the exhaust system... It has had that many different set up's on it.
#5 and #2 sounded the best in my opinion. Both had a real clean, deep purr to them.
Sounds really good that's the sound I'm looking for
The straight pipes are much better on that 6.0L u guys always do good work with these exhausts
The trailblazer sounds best in my opinion
loool good to see you have a returning customer because several new systems isnt enough XD
Thank Goodness your back
That blazer SS sounds amazing
I KNOW. I just bought a clean 6.0 2500 Bout to do that same exact setup!!
Man that white 1500 hd sounded amazing, well done!
Yeah the white one sounded better than all of it 😂😂
Thats a nice set up
The first sounded awesome but a little to loud in the cab. But I'm sure its because of the turn downs are under the pickup instead of exited on out the back.
Wow makes me wanna do something to my truck
All the people who are saying “you call that a cam” haven’t driven a car/truck with a big cam daily. I got lucky with my job and build engines, transmissions and differentials all day. I’ve done the big cam on my personal stuff and it’s great when you get her wound up to 5000+rpm but blows for daily and you lose a ton of low end most of the time. I steer people away from the big, choppy cams, they sound so good and perform well but you need to ditch the OE heads, valve train, intake manifold, as well as add a torque converter, possibly build the transmission, regear the rear end lower to help get the rpm’s up so it’s not a dog(don’t necessarily have to do this but the guys that want a cam for speed and power will wish they changed gears) and rework the fuel system just to get most out of that big choppy beast. 3/4 people want to be able to cruise and have a strong runner. A mild-midsize cam and depending on the chosen cam possibly cylinder heads and a torque converter(if they go to the midsize side) will be a great driver. I use to say go big but was humbled by a small block a decade ago with a fairly mild cam and edelbrock heads. It made 17 more horsepower and 36 pound feet of torque more than the small block I had in my s10 until 5000rpm and the part throttle drive ability as well as torque at part throttle lost in testing was absolutely astonishing with my “big cam”. for a fun street truck, weekend cruiser, Sunday driver, etc… you really don’t need a big cam unless you like running at high rpm and sacrificing 2/3 of the power and for sound and high end. That said big cams are still excellent, a built motor that absolutely screams to 7000rpm is great. But don’t diss the “small cam”
I agree people overcam all the time and spend months trying to convince themselves "its not so bad". But you really don't need cylinder heads a lot of times. Most of the GM LS heads flow plenty well enough for a N/A setup, and have the cathedral ports to preserve some low end.
Definitely smaller cam for a street friendly eveyday driver is best or the bucking stalling and jumping is unbelievable its super irritating!!!
I had longtubes, catless to a 3inch x pipe and dual magnapacks then all the way out the back. A little bite at start up, idle and cruise were tame but when you open it up...wow
All you guys need to do is start blurring out your customers plates....
On 6.0?
@@daviddelacruz7496 yeah, swapped it from a yukon
Right there aaaaaaannd right there
Do you have the link for the high flow cats that was on the gold Silverado?
On the opposite side of the crossover pipe, you should add a loop in the short run to equal the length. You'll see a huge difference in sound. Having headers and high flow cats, (or delete them and program rear o2's out) will make it throaty and deep. A true 45° x pipe also sounds different than the stamped cheap x pipe your shop uses.
Cammed straight pipe sounded best
I wonder if I might get your recommendation since you're an exhaust guru?
03 Silverado 1500HD 6.0L automatic 4x4 crew short box all stock
Looking for that low throaty rumble, no cackle and no freeway drone. Want true duals with exits in front of the rear tires.
Not sure if I want to do a complete system with headers or just Cat-Back.
No other mods.
I had a Square Body Chevy 350 with 1-5/8 headers 2.5 pipes and glass packs. Idled really good but those packs were HORRIBLE out on the freeway. I took a Sawzall to that shit in a hurry! Glass Packs suck
Swing set Poles been working for years now on my vehicles
Hey I have a 2015 super clean 2500hd with 6.0l. What’s your suggestion for a good sound without being too much?
How much does an exhaust set like that first one cost? I have a 2002 silverado 6.0 LS I want to put a nice exhaust on
The straight pipe sounds the best by far!!!!
Too crackly and poppy for my taste.
@@TheSleepyMechanic0524 no one asked
@@martinez2845 no need to be rude. The hell did I do to you.? You could've just said you disagree with my opinion.
I haven’t finished watching the video yet but so far the straight pipe sounds the meanest. Between the Carven and either Flowmasters. I’d bet 3” pipes into an x pipe and all the way out the back would sound better overall. 3” gives it more of that deep clean throat and having it go out the back gives is a whooshing whip growl. Don’t know how else to explain it. My charger 5.7 Hemi has shorty headers to factory 2 1/2” cat pipes then aftermarket 3” stainless Xpipe with some small straight through mufflers right before the tips and it sounds deep throaty. No popping cackling. I need to get some tips welded on.
My mufflers came with the cat back kit pre installed they remind me of the mini race bullets.
Hey what are some good headers for tha 6.0 01
I had a 02 mustang gt with the factory caats an everything just did the cat back Flowmasters an got a sound ticket for 115 to 120 decimals. However I think it was bs an he pulled numbers out of his arse lol.. Car had 53 miles on it when I dropped it at the muffler shop
How long should the dump pipe be for best deep sound?
I have a 2006 gmc sierra 1500 with the vortec max 6.0L. It is a 6’6” bed with an extended cab. What exhaust would anyone recommend? Would a 5.3L cat back work on it?
The first one sounds like it’s bout to blow up 😂
single cab should just go equal length pipes out the back with an x somewhere close to the collectors. He'd be happy then
How much for number 2 on a 2003 2500HD extended cab?
First truck no quema cuhh 😂
What brand are the high flow cats?
That sound meter seemed a lil off lol the straight pipes were not as loud as the others or did i get mixed up?
Dude ses “much better” no matter what he puts on it lol
Am I the only one that notice she was auto and then on the other last 2 videos she got a 5 speed in it 🥶
How much for those high flow cats?
What y pipe for number 2?
Where are u guys located ? I took mine to a shop here in bakersfield and they fucked my shit up.
Your voice is back
He is back you mean
Sure
Where y'all located?
Do you have a shop in Utah bro.?your works are awesome
I’m sorry but we don’t.
I wonder what it would sound like if u guys did a true dual exhaust on a GM 6.6L gas
@@jaysmokey actually there is such thing, the engine is for a 2020 Silverado. I was confused too
@@jaysmokey dont worries man, glad to help
@@jaysmokeyyeah they replaced the 6.0s with the new 6.6 gas engine
They trying to fool us constantly lol
5.3? It's a 327! Nope.
5.7? It's a 350! Nope, 346ci LS1/LS6
6.6L? It's a Duramax! Nope.
They brought the 7.3 back? Nope.
5.0? They brought the 302 back! Nope.
454? That's a big block! Nope, LSX.
The list goes on lol
The first GMC that oil pressure dropped way low, yikes. Even after mine's warmed up and driving for hours when I it's just idling mine's right below the center line. Then when I drive it goes three lines past I saw his picked up but man it shouldn't be that low at idle that's scary. See the oil pressure on the other truck at 12:47
Both are a little wild. Mine spikes past the center at about 60 like the trailblazer at the end and I already don’t like it. A lot of miles on the trucks though.
These truck are hit our miss some last 20 years with no oil pressure
What size and rims is that on the sierra been looking for snowflakes
Probably 26”
corsa sport is all you need
Ew not on a truck
No kema cuz
So he went from super 10s, to straight pipe, to carven R? Still only on 3 at the time I’m writing this 😂
From 40s to 10s to straight pipes to carvens 😂
Kenneth would be happy with tail pipes. Turn downs never sound good rattling around under the bed.
Straight pipe
I miss my TBSS :-\
Where are you all located at?
Nashville, Tennessee.
There is so much behind getting a good tone, particularly with these truck LS motors.... i am a die hard Chevy guy, but it's so much easier to make a late 90s or newer ford V8 sound good. Chevys always sound messy/fumbly/raspy/boring and just basic with the wrong setups
😮 What! No Borla system on 6.0 🤔 if i win lottery im doing True dual ( cats for legal purpose) 3" true dual Borla system ( again inspection legal) i will keep looking for a video in here.😁Red Tahoe is What any old GM V8 that i owned. 6.0 power.
Where are y'all located it sound like y'all are from up North
If yall are in TN I'll just go to your shop because I know nothing about our local shops.
Can't help but notice how bad the welds are on all ur exhaust systems.
I have an 02 sierra with a vortec 6000 and true duel blackwidow neighborhaters and my buddy with a scat pack like my truck sound better than his car with the same exhaust. (Only mufflers and intake) stock otherwise
Truck v8s just sound bigger and meaner imo
Blur out your customers plates if they want a illegal mod done to their rig but still we wanna hear it
I think the first truck needs a tune up 🤔
No cama cuh
"Quema" pendejo
LMAO
the first 3 trucks were the same guy...
Them Carvens sounded like straight shit on that truck. That’s why they ain’t commented yet 😂 they don’t want nothin to do with this 3 ring circus 😆
Atleast ya left the cats on the 2WD GMC . people forget about that Pesky "back pressure"🤔 that aint a 350 CI from The 70's in a "race car". Props on roasting the tires, most Puss out in these videos😕
People gotta stop with chambered mufflers, never sound good. Kenneth went from blowmaster 40s, to blowmaster 10s, to muffler delete and ended up at carven.
I think it sounded best with straight pipes. This guy make up his mind? Lol
And that #2nd truck slow as fuckkkkk that bus ditched it 😭😭😭🤣
Ever think about being safe around a school bus? Probably not since your dumazz comment shows otherwise.
All you guys need to do now is start blurring out your customers tags ..other than that you guys do amazing work👍.
There is nothing the general public can do with a tag number.
284OGI is my tag number. Now tell me anything about me.
Why do they need to blur out tags? That's the stupidest shit I have heard. What about all the vehicles on the road. Are they blurred out?
Carven and Borla.
@John Stone Nah, Magnaflow packing burns out. Only Magnaflow mufflers worth anything are the Bullet and Magnapack.
@@ej1025 dynomax race bullets, that trailblazer👌
@@pilotm6572 Those are good too
Yeah those Dynomax bullets are ridiculous loud but sounds so good.
@@pilotm6572 do they make full exhaust or just mufflers
Nah
Cut those cats out
You call that a cam? That’s a baby cam. Sounds like a stock 6.0 with a misfire to me.
Super10 sounded nasty for a sleeper, the rest sounded like a trash truck trying to pretend to be a nasty truck.
Aloha how much $$$
?
