You’ve done some really cool trucks. My Sierra is just a 5.3 2014 with that 3rd cat. I just had my local shop do a y-pipe after the 3rd cat and duals back with black tips. It’s absolutely perfect. I learned it from watching your videos and made sure my guy could do the same thing. Old School Automotive in Fairview Heights IL. Not obscenely loud but if I let it rip a little, it definitely sounds great. Especially cold starts. Thanks for the tips and cool videos.
My favorite: 07+ truck with stock 3.5" single, with the 3rd converter deleted and then 2 of those Dynomax Mini Bullets, all 3.5" not necked down to 3" at all.
Hate to say it but those all most likely have major interior drone. Some people make like that but not me. I have magnaflow high flow cats with magnaflow cat back mandrel bent and stainless front to back.
I was really surprised how mellow that short box gmc was. Beauty truck though !

Put that 90° into 3inch tips it's loud. 45° sound's great .
The first one said true duals... my definition of true duals is 2 separate pipes with 2 separate mufflers
Some mufflers have separated chambers inside one muffler so still technically true dual. But not in this case with the x pipe inside of it.
They are true duals...who's is going to know more the guy who owns muffler shop or you

their welds always look like shit. they cant even deburr anything lol
My thoughts also, looked terrible. Stock pipe isn't a simple stick or tig weld without Argon and that's expensive.
Not bad but still prefer a duramax or Cummins. Great vids!!!!! We need more diesels on the channel!

Why the hell do people do turn downs after Flowmasters? To get GOOD sound out of them you need at least a couple feet of pipe after the muffler. They sound so much better with pipes out the back or at least all the way to the side, again a couple of feet of pipe. My 06 2500HD with the 6.0L with the 40 Original (not delta flow) series sound far deeper and louder than those 10s do on the single cab. Especially under a load.
My o5 6.0 is 3" cats system. I want a Borla system ❤

Not sure what year your 4.8 is but I did y-pipe duals on my 2002 years ago. With only 2 cats the straight pipe set up was just too much. I had my shop put on a Flowmaster and that toned it down but it had a little too much “drone” sound. After a while I had a Magnaflow bullet put on then y-piped to duals. It sounded great.

Subscribed a while and I had a question. I live up in the Northeast so I’m too far to come to you but I was hoping you could just answer. What’s the best exhaust for my 2015 2500 HD. I’m not looking for the resonance I just want a nice deep grumble and give it a little bit of sound. What would you suggest?

@@timothylittlefield3129 for the time being I just got a delete kit and took that trash can muffler off. Sounds mint. A bit throaty but I like it for less than 100.00
@@JoeMaxFpv short term is fine. Long term not so much as it would never pass Maine state inspection. I’m going to give it a shot

The 40s sounded like trash just like the super 10s because flowmaster recommends 18" minimum of tail pipe after their mufflers. myself 24" is okay but best with full length 3.5" tail pipes at 90 or 45s
On first one 2 1/4" out in a 6.0? Are u kidding man, thats killing the power. That even killed power on my 5L foxbody. Even Dual 2.5" outs with turn downs killed torque on our '08 6L. Its gotta be dual 3" in and dual 3" out or single 3.5/4" out.

I thought true dual ran from the headers back. Systems don’t touch unless maybe an H or X pipe.
them dual super 10s didn't sound as a good as the double bullets even with high flow cats🤔
It's because it's got turndowns off the mufflers. Flowmaster recommends at least 12" of pipe after the muffler for scavenging. If it had tailpipes with 3" tips, it would've been louder and sounded much better, and make more power.
No reverse lights
All of these are quiet lol i have corsa and longtubes that would drown out all of these
I got a 2” long tube header Cat less straight pipe w/x pipe stage 4 cam 6.2 Camaro ss thT would completely drown your set up
@@Tbss77 well we were comparing trucks. Cars like vettes and camaros are always louder, theres like 4ft less exhaust piping than there is on a crew cab truck. But my truck is H/C/I and would give your car an earful as well 😎
