Jay knows more about cars then anybody.
You have to respect probably the most enthusiastic car guy on the planet. He has every era of vehicle . I think 🤔
I learned that back in the early 80s when I was a kid. Wonderful cars.
Love jay ❤️ one of the last few real legends
Jay is spot on… I have had the pleasure to ride in several Dusies and I will tell you they are simply magnificent. They are the best cars ever built. Ever!
@Throw Away
I'm glad you decided not to respond.
@@RalphSampson... Well, he's studying engineering, not rhetoric. So a lengthy, hostile response is predictable.
BTW, I'd rather have a (custom) three point safety belt in a steel-hulled old car that's be driving a plastic POS.
I know which vehicle would win that argument.
@@bretthess6376
I'm with you. See my profile pic? It's a 1962 F100 Unibed, big back window....in the works but, drives.
Also, 1953 F100....completed.
Also, 1989 F350...completed.
Nothing newer. I have a 2013 company truck I drive but, would rather just drive my own.
Give me old school. New plastic cars are not long for outside of the junkyard.
@@RalphSampson... such an old school stud…”I drive a GD tractor to work…F everything else…Merica”!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@RalphSampson... exactly 🤦🏼♀️
Jay Leno is man light years more than his political party and those who like him as well. Not one comment on here. Congratulations folks, you did it.
I worked for the same car dealership as Jay. He worked at foreign motors in Boston and I worked in Natick Massachusetts. Great company and still operating
If Jay said it then it’s true. He is the big Kahoona when it come to cars. Would love to see his collection ! Thanks, Jay…..🚗
Jay is probably one of the best experts on unique & rare cars in the world. His collection is amazing.👍
I respect Jay’s opinion. He knows cars!
Jay knows cars that's for sure. I had no idea that Duesenbergs were only built in 1928.
Driving a 1928 car @75-80 mph...why not but on a straight American motorway with the appropriate sticker ar the back "I brake for nobody"
It was also the first production car with hydraulic breaks
He forgot to mention the 1990 Dihatsu Charade.
A Fort Knox of a car sir!! Hahahaha!!!
@@drumsybatabamboom8022 Yes!
And inside the engine bay lies the gold.
For what it was, the Charade was pretty good.
It can't touch the Yugo.
I never could figure out what that car was all about.
Awesome interview! Love Mark Martin. Grew up rooting for him and he won the first race i attended (Fall Dover 1998). Mark Martin Archive is great!
My great grandfather was best friends with the Duesenberg brothers and my grandfather would tell me stories of them coming by the house often. Always drove by there private driver wprld war 1 fighter pilot war hero and professional driver Eddie Rickenbacker. 1 day I will get to at least ride in one of these! My family always talked very highly of Jay just knowing how much he loved the Duesey and supported our family friends.
If Jay says that's the way it is, he's the man when it comes to cars.
You gotta love Jay. The guy that shows that having white hair means pure wisdom
Cool to hear a man’s opinion that has driven them all…. You all can have your opinions - but I appreciate his passion for cars
Jay, we would all love to see your collection. Would love see them in a museum.
This guy is very personable and likeable in person. So it was easy to have him take over the Tonght Show. He does his research, and doesn't take cheap shots.
Get well soon Jay Leno. keeping U in our prayers 4 A speedy recovery. 🙏✝️🙏‼️♦️♦️♦️‼️
You got a love, Jay, he’s the greatest. His knowledge of cars, his collection of cars, and that he drives all of his cars so that he’s experienced the difference in so many cars. I’ve always been a driver, kind of guy of my hot rods and whatever I have. My theory is what good is it if you can’t enjoy it, I love big horsepower to me it’s just fascinating😮😂😅
Jay is hardcore enthusiast and been that way for a looooong time. So I trust his opinion on this.
I'd love to hear his take on the best cars from each decade up to the 80s.
Why not up until today?
@@TheDennys21 I'm into classic cars. New cars are over-engineered & over-priced. Not to mention uglier than a bag of wet dog turds.
@@demetriuscooksey7147 haha ur right.
I couldn’t understand which car Jay was referring to. If anyone could pick that out of what he said, let me know. I want to read up on that car. Jay is a true role model for many and one of the best in what he does. Good man.
Nineteen twenty-eight Deucenberg.
I also had a hard time picking that up.
I ran into Jay on the sreet in LA after being at a taping of his show, he really is a down to earth, good guy.
If any one man’s opinion on the best car counts, it would definitely be Jay Leon’s opinion. He’s got just about everything with wheels.
Class act, humble man of the people.
100% in agreement. Jay has simply confirmed it - A design and engineering artwork no less.
Luxury cars from back in the day, were ahead of their time that they still comfortable to drive today
I had a model build kit for a Dussenberg as a biy and i admired the beauty of thsyt car
If theres one dude on the planet you know isn’t BSing when he says he’s driven pretty much everything, it’s JL 😂
Yep the most accurate saying it's a DOOZY!! 👍😁
That saying was actually around since the 1800's, before there was even cars.
There was a short-lived Duesenberg revival company that produced at least one example of a brand new Duesenberg, circa 1967. It was on display about that year at Glendale Shopping Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Jay is an awesome guy with his knowledge and his life experiences he's phenomenal, plus he's funny too.
I have the utmost respect for this man.
The best late night talk show host along with Johnny Carson. Never let politics take over either one of their shows like what these clowns are doing now.
Played a great part on the "Last Man Standing" show with Tim Allen. Another big car guy and collector.
Then the other short run show that Jay had. Don't know why that didn't last. His knowledge of vehicles is awesome.
God Bless You Jay. ❤️🙏❤️👍👍👍
Been wearing the same thing since he retired from tv lol
Didn't know Leno was doin time in the big house 😂
Love this jay guy he’s top of the tree in his passion for cars, a mine of knowledge, 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏❤️
Duesenburg was a gorgeous car . I had a plastic model to build and it was beautiful
Me still waiting to know what car he’s talking about
I think he’s talking about the Deusenburg he has
1928 Deusenberg
eu -> ue
Yup duesenberg
@@Corncob_Ethan.7 Deusenburger
I have to agree with you- nothing like a D-berg♥️👍
The Kenzoil cookie talks are starting to become my favorite videos here
Something i always thought was cool about the Duesenberg was the ashtray. It was hooked up to the engine vaccum and sucked your smoke and ashes away.
Not the Yugo?
Aww, the yugo, how to double the value of your yugo, fill it up with gas.🙀
🤣
Nicest guy ever, who knows his stuff about cars.....
There was a deep green, white-walled Duesenberg J in "The Batsford Colour Book of Vintage Cars", about 50 years ago. One of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Since I was a kid, it's been the "when I'm a rockstar, that's where my millions are going" car for me.
Hes got exceptional taste.
Love how he takes his McLaren F1 on a drive, while other owners treat them Nigel from Spinal Tap does with the guitar thats never been played.
Proper car fan who appreciates these things were made to be moved, not stuck in a cabinet....
And no one knows better than Jay Leno!!!
