My theory is Jacob saw what the guy Patz did to Ben from start to finish but just didn’t say anything. Maybe because he felt Ben deserved it or he enjoyed what he saw. It would explain the fingerprint on ben’s jacket. It’s no denying Jacob has violent tendencies, the story he wrote, the videos he watched on his laptop, the picture he posted during the trial, and the situation at bowling alley when he was younger. He said the picture he post was joke but it’s a lot of truth in a joke, plus how could he have so many details to be able to write at story. I believe what he saw Patz do he wanted to do himself but didn’t have the nerve. Patz was definitely involved why did he have those pictures and why was he so happy when he knew the police had Jacob. I would go as far to say Patz knew Jacob was watching and they shared a glance with each other while in the woods. Patz didn’t come after Jacob cause he knew they were same. I believe Jacob is violent but not violent enough to kill, he just has a sick side to him that needs therapy

It is deliberately ambiguous on which of the three main suspects did it. Pats, the PDF file, clearly was doing something wrong with Ben. Derek’s mom lied to the cops about his alibi, we know this because he took Sarah Ben’s phone that he stole from him on the day of the murder. And Jacob wrote a detailed description of the murder and posted it online. All three had motive, means and opportunity. It is supposed to make people question.

I don't believe that you can really say if the son did it. Toddlers believe that they can be washed down the drain. It's not a stretch to think at such a young age that he still thought in cartoon terms. Also, violent video games etc. are a part of our macho society. Teen boys are exposed to all kinds of things. I can really say that I do not know if the son did it. I've seen people convicted on how they acted after something horrible happened to them. Everyone acts differently. When people are in shock not reacting is a coping mechanism. Sometimes you have to wait until you get home to fall apart. I have always found this a dubious reason to convict someone. The main thing that I did find incriminating is the fact that he wrote that story about the murders after it happened. That is problematic.

Agreed. And everyone's reaction to anything is not a "one size fits all" It annoys me when a detective in any show or documentary re-enactment says "we know someone else was driving the car because the seat was pushed back" I am a short person who has to sit up close to drive but anytime I am parked or waiting in the car I immediately push the seat all the way back to relax. I don't put the seat back until I get back in the car. Also, when they say "he/she knew the attacker because there was no forced entry" that's another assumption that may or may not be correct. Years ago I was walking home, as I crossed the street there was a man walking down the sidewalk in front of me on a north to south direction caddy corner from me. He wasn't looking at me and did not feel like a threat in the middle of the day. I crossed in front of him about a hundred feet in distance in an East to west direction headed to my apt's side door. I opened the door and went in. He must have moved quickly because he closed the gap pretty fast, opening my door and coming in my apt right behind me. I just stood there staring at him in shock. Then my 3 Kids 4, 10, and 12 years old, my adult babysitter and her boyfriend entered the room all staring at him too. He left. Since then I lock my door behind me (I try 100%) every time, even in the daytime. I know other people do not typically do this, because of how annoyed they are, that I do.So that too, is a maybe they knew the attacker maybe they didn't situation, not a concrete clue. And- I always freeze when being accused by harsh words and I am unable to speak while it's happening. I don't like confrontation so I don't respond until later when no one is yelling anymore. This is often seen as "you didn't have anything to say to defend yourself, so whatever you're trying to say now is a lie" once again as harsh accusation renders me speechless, I have plenty to say, but no one will listen later. No matter how many times I replay what I should've said in my head, I didn't speak up when it mattered. Finally, the video game violence is a seriously bad influence on our youth. I learned by the time I was in School, that cartoon violence was supposed to "not be taken seriously, because irl, people get hurt, so we don't act like that" it's supposed to be funny. Toys do not come alive at night, and only birds can fly. We are taught that until it makes sense to us as we mature. That takes time. Considering the "one size fits all" conclusions are not true, where the guilt lies here is anyone's guess bcuz it is a movie. But I'm gonna agree with you, the story he wrote, the picture posted, and the fact he continued his social media is highly suspect. Really? Are you confident your dad can get you out of this trouble, self sabotaging, or just stupid!?! IRL, these things cause police to zero their focus onto who they "like" for it, and stop looking at the derek and patz of the situation- who could also be guilty for just as many reasons.
