They shouldn’t make movies if there’s no proper endings 😑
With all the children that disappear every year never to be seen again, I think this is a proper ending.
Real life doesn't have fairytale endings either, so why are you complaining 🙄
@moonluna464 movies don't have to reflect real life 100%. They're a form of entertainment and an outlet for escapism. The audience is entitled to give their two cents. If people behind the film have a problem with anything other than glowing feedback, perhaps it would've better that they limit their audience to like-minded folk.

People saying this is a disappointing ending. They're not seeing the point. There are people in this world who live their entire lives never knowing what happened to their loved ones. That's the point of the movie. We're left wondering just like her parents.
15:18 The narration is off here, It says in the morning "Lily entered the son's room" um, Lily is the missing girl... 🤦🏽♀️and in the next breath, Narration corrects itself and says,"Catherine...." .

Hugo Weaving is great. Elrond. Agent Smith. My favourite is him as Tic (Anthony) in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. He makes a great drag queen.

@@Bhakt-TheDevotee a movie doesn't have to be a documentary to be realistic. People go missing and never get found. The movie's point was more about the couple finally getting along.

stranger danger not taught in this family... or the daughter is on a Walkabout. Incidentally another film about a sister and brother lost in the outback.
Either the recap failed to capture the essence of the movie or this is just a dry, pointless movie

And also sometimes the young girls should be blamed. After watching this movie, I realised the girl is a sociopath. Just from discovering what was in her diary and she left her brother to die in the desert. It's not sexist.

@@joyfam2949she may have been but it's still not her fault that the teacher had an affair with her. He's the adult so even if she initiated something, it was his responsibility to stop. That was 100% his fault.
So the girl is only 15 and was groomed by several men for sex by that time. Her parents and brother blame HER for what was done to her, and they are surprised that she hates them, is acting out sexually, and running away? Unfortunately I think its implied this time, it cost her, her life and the family will have to live with that. Very sad movie. Poor Lily. She needed love to heal, not shame. 😢
