We actually would be able to see surge in a game. The Archie sonic comics are a lost cause but in 2017 Archie lost the license and IDW makes the comics now. Those characters aren’t off limits for the games, sonic even mentions Tangle, who is exclusive to the IDW comics in Sonic frontiers

Surge and Sonic Secret Rings looking real nice. Their damage output and moves are really strong, I'd rank them A+ or S tier. Very strong, but nothing compared to gods like Ayumi, Exslayer and Shadow exe. A matchup I'd like to request, Surge and Apex Seelkadoom vs Sonic exe and Dark Sonic. A decently fair matchup with Surge and Sonic exe having crack transformations.
I beat those "gods" with sonic and the secret rings on arcade mode

By the way Loki, if your wondering why you couldn't hit super Sonic 8:32 There is a clash system thus you couldn't really do much. Next time you do a mugen video including that version of Sonic just know theres such thing as a "Boost Clash." Keep it in mind. *Theres a video about clashes with that sonic and a new version of Shadow*

That timing was mad coincident I just started reading the idw comics the reason I was reluctant was because I imagined a lot of bs would be going on in the comics that I didn’t understand or didn’t care about and the order in which you read issues in aren’t as straight forward as chapters in manga but it’s pretty good in all honesty

Surge is basically Scrouge but less cringe n more insane imo. Even tho I doubt Surge will get an official Super Form in IDW (Especially if Iizuka still on that "Females can't transform into Super" bs), still imagine Super Sonic vs Super Surge (Something Archie should have done for Super Sonic vs Super Scrouge)

@@reggielacey2235 Not really. He only stated that Male hedgehogs can only go super which means he excluded not just females hedgehogs, but other species too. Yes Blaze can turn Super, but that's thxs to the Sol Emeralds and not Choas Emeralds. Also yes I'm already well aware that Iizuka finally change his tune and let Amy go Super for Origins. Kinda wish they at least either change her into gold Super form or at least spike up glowing rosa but at least she got her Super n Hyper form. Hopefully Superstars also let's Amy have her Super form and improve her look. Also even tho Iizuka n Sonic Team now let Amy have her Super form in the classics, still I wonder if they will let her have her Super form for the Modern cast along with Sonic's friends. I doubt this but it would be cool to see Super, Amy, Tails, and Knuxs help Super Sonic fight off a final boss. Maybe in Froniters Update 3 or a new modern title or something

@@reggielacey2235Ik. In Classic tho, yes. Modern tho, Tails n Knuxs had their chance to turn into Super in Heroes but Iizuka n team decided to give them sphere which that's bullcrap. Seriously what's with the Classic franchise giving Tails, Knuxs, and literally now Amy getting Super forms but for Modern, just the big 3 hedgehogs get Super forms (Yes Blaze can transform, but only with Sol Emeralds). Hell let's not forget about Mighty n Ray too since they got Super forms for Mania Plus. At least since IDW is now canon I guess, technically Metal did transform into his super state back when he design as Eggman. Plus in Frontiers, at least they let Knuxs say he could have gone Super and finish the job quicker. Hopefully in this era, they continue to change their tune and finally let the other Modern cast use the choas emeralds for once instead of finding more bs excuses of why Sonic's friends can't go Super besides the male hedgehogs.

Aight. Call me Willy Wonka, because I'm about to bring in the nerds. So Surge is a character made by Ian Flynn. The reason she looks so similar to Scourge is because Ian made him (but Ken Penders claimed ownership over him as he made "Evil Sonic", the character that Ian eventually evolved into Scourge when he took over). The name and identity of the character is intentionally made to reference Scourge. Surge, like Scourge, is meant to be an antagonist counterpart to Sonic, but Surge is more nuanced in the way she's written compared to Scourge. While Scourge is meant to be what Sonic would be if he was evil, Surge is kind of a deconstruction of Sonic rivals (no psp). She is beaten by Sonic easily despit having speed that matches his. It displays that it takes more than being fast to beat him, as Sonic has years of battle experience as well as many friends and rivals that can match his speed. Theres more to it, but i think ive gone on long enough. Thanks for reading this and please read the comics.

SEGA can’t use any Archie characters if they wanted to because of that douchebag man child, Penders. Any hope of seeing them in a game is on hold until he dies and won’t be able to press lawsuit charges.
The IDW characters are fair game though. And I would love to play as Whisper in particular. I seriously wish you’ll give those comics a read because they are FIRE!
