I want to give a special thank you to my friend Mat, who I give all the credit for, for building the PCB. He has been incredibly patient with me and did it out of the kindness of his heart. It feels good to know people like that. He is making Desert Eye PCB possible.

I'm looking forward to your future videos, this is great. I'm thankful to have people like you who share and teach information for free. The world is a better place with folk like you. Thank you
I almost want to say: "No, thank you!"
You have achieved a lot brother, keep moving forward
Very cool! Will follow along!
Thanks!
Wow! Fantastic engineering! Just needs a nice desert camo body paint now! 👍👍
Thanks!
Glad to see you again, I've learned F360 thank to you in the last 2 years, you were my first online teacher.
I'm happy to hear that! Thanks for being in touch and enjoy the video!
Excellent work, good sir. I love the idea.
Thanks!
Awesome.. YES. ….best video yet.. now I know why you were out at work lol .. see you when you get back, once again Bro,, totally awesome , you nailed it.. ..
Thanks, Eric!
Nice build! Its shredding the desert.
Thanks! If I could do it again, I would make the inner tread teeth taller so they better engage the drive sprocket.
This channel needs more attention I just found it and I love your videos! Keep it up. Are the new motors in the description good?
Thanks! They feel strong and are cheaper than the GoBilda ones I was using before.
@@AvivMakesRobots Ok
That looks amazing. I have one question why would you use a deans connector for the battery on the pcb? Has an rc enthusiast I did away with deans connectors long ago, and replaced them with xt60 for 3s / 4s to xt90 for 4s+ depending on what they were being used in.
I just used what my 3S battery had. Arent they easier to disconnext than XT? I don't want to snap the board removing it.
The problem with tracks, is when they come off, its game over and the bot needs retrieval.
It can happen, but the seam on the inside of the tread helps stop that.
Can you make tutorial on how did you configured it into mobile robot and also please realese the pcb soon.
Absolutely!
The PCB sounds good.
Thanks!
This thing is awesome, Gonna hit that sub button.
Thank you!
Great work! How does it go on stairs? Can it recover from flipping on its back yet?
No, and no (I have not tested steps but doubt it).
I am at a crossroads... There is a lot I can fix on this design, kike the issues you mentioned, but could probably get way more watch hours starting a brand new project instead of making minor updates to this one (this video was not that popular for the time spent lol)
Looks more like a weapon of war to me....then again tracks were invented for such a purpose... For example, Point Man Sensor assistant/mule. In a tunnel, the squad places tank out front. It uses its sensor to see. Once a target detects, it stops, the squad stops. The squad evaluates. If safe the handler next to it touches the machine... It moves forward.
True!
Looks great! What are you using to send and receive radio signal ?
Thanks! The Pi broadcasts a Wifi signal to your mobile device. You connect as you would to a Wifi hotspot.
@@AvivMakesRobots, I see. Thx for replying!
Boss, i just subscribed to your channel and liked your video.....This is so cool👍👍👍. Greetings from Ghana , West Africa........Anyway this will be nice to explore the planet Mars😄😄😄
Thank you! Yes, it would be!
aww man thats awsome iam trying to make a rc too but i went with #35 roller chain but cant seem to make a spocket work ..by chance anyway i could get a step file for that spocket you made for the #25 roller chain ...i mean if thats ok and all ..if no biggy just thought id ask anyway lol
I can send you the one I made, but even better I can point you to the STEP model I used from McMaster. It was something like this one: www.mcmaster.com/2737T133/
I give like to your tank project. but when ai saw the duodecaedrum and other 3d shape in your set i subscribe!
Awesome! Thanks! Love the shape too.
Hi! I'm building a small scale tank and I need to print my tracks out of TPU, but I'm not sure how flexible it should be. Can you tell me what filament should I buy? Thanks
I would go with TPU 85A. They have the flexibility necessary.
@@AvivMakesRobots Thank you a lot!! How thick are your tracks?
Could a solar panel be added to this or would it just get too dusty?
I think this needed footage from the robots POV. Didn't see it here.
Dang, I think you're right! I am using just the Pi2 camera, but the Pi 3 camera could look good enough to show off.
Solar panel could be added. It would just need to be well though out, since it is a LiPo battery, and those things are scary to charge.
@@AvivMakesRobots oh i had no idea it was so dangerous.
Hey Aviv what is the 3D printer you used to print the belts ???
Hey, I printed this on a QIDI X-MAX.
Is there anyway at this point to acclimate this unit to a real time kinematic system and is there any hardware type this unit waypoint capable? How much is it to build a unit and after answering that how much would it cost for you to build me one?
Please see AvivRobotics.com for the BOM and pricing on a full unit, though I don't believe I have any PCBs left
I want one !😁👍🏻
Awesome! STLs on AvivRobotics.com
why not use Torsion bar suspension instead it might make it more stable for the camera
That'd be interesting! I think the suspension now is just not optimized for the weight and etc.
@@AvivMakesRobots probably why the front end seems to jump when ever it starts moving. from how it looks when the top is open most of its weight seems to in the back. as a stop gap perhaps a counter weight at the front would help the current suspension ballance abit better.
move the drive wheels to the front
The motors? They are at the front of the housing.
all I can say is good luck with thermals, and UV
What do you mean?
Hi Aviv, we make this robot parts for you. We are a prototype supplier from China, can customize both metal and plastic parts by CNC, Sheet Metal, 3D Printing.
Thanks for the info!
Please can you share the 3D printable files and PCB?
I hope to sell a kit that anyone can use to build their own!
Have you uploaded footage from the robot?
Not yet!
since you didn't show any maneuverability I guess it's next to non-existent
It is good at maneuvering now with the new drive wheel design.
It has a camera, but we didn't see any footage from It. 😢
I will show it next time!
Why hasn't this blown up on CZcams? This channel is awesome. The yt algorithm is weird.
Thank you!
Mate you should be working for some innovative company, you're quite good 👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you! More content coming soon!
😆
Lol!
Typo in your website address. You have ".con" instead of ".com"
Thank you! Fixed it.
Wow! Fantastic engineering! Just needs a nice desert camo body paint now! 👍👍
Heck yeah!
This channel needs more attention I just found it and I love your videos! Keep it up. Are the new motors in the description good?
Thanks again!
