      Yes, the standard seats are comfortable and great. However, the Black Edition seats are different, and I personally don't care for them -- the sides hug you which would be fine if on a race track, but for everyday or long distance driving they are too restrictive. So definitely skip the Black Edition unless liking sports car seat feel everyday.

      We bought a S90 in 2019 and I hated the screen having jumped from a BMW. Bought this S60 model in March and thought the screen surely would have been upgraded. Nope - still as bad and with more features to navigate whilst not looking at the road.

    I have a 23 s60 recharge plus. I love it! it has a ton of quirks though. Ive had issues with the sensors and had to take it back to volvo twice already for issues, but they were easy fixes, and the car still drives like a dream. There's zero in-cabin storage. That's my biggest gripe. overall though, it's super fun to drive!

    What’s ridiculous is that in prior years the s60 T8 *DID* have a tactile scroll wheel and for 23’ they took it away! That scroll wheel looked nice and had a very crisp tactile feel to it also(I thought anyway).

    Hi, from Japan!! Yes, you are true. I agree with you from Japan, too. What we only want to know is “Eco” “Normal” “Sports” “Sports +”. That’s it. I know this comes from Volvo’s gentle and kindness but too many informations on the touch screen. Volvo always builds cars which have enough power but they don’t let us feel it. Volvo cars are definitely great cars. Volvo is for people who drive smart not us who need spice on cars. Thank you Todd and Paul!!

    I hear your complaints about needing the HVAC controls to be physical, but I have to say, using the voice command to change the temp, fan on-off/raise the fan, recirculation etc is wonderful. Voice commands in Volvo's do more than that too. Pause/Cancel navigation is cool, as is pushing the button for nav and telling it you want to go home and it'll give you the directions right away (do not save real home address), and it'll even change your heated steering and seat settings. I think it's a mistake to remove the physical drive mode button that some older models had though.

    • @RockstarBruski
      @RockstarBruski Před 11 měsíci

      I like the voice command but in my 2017 xc90 the voice command isn't reliable and using it annoys the passengers. Give me my hvac and drive mode buttons back!!! My 2010 xc60 has them and they're simple and safer to use! Come on Volvo your the safety leader in the industry bring the buttons back!!!

    • @infinity2x0
      @infinity2x0 Před 11 měsíci

      @@RockstarBruski I do agree that the voice commands aren't reliable if you've got multiple people speaking at once, it definitely doesn't separate your voice from the others. It even keeps listening when there's any noise after your voice is done speaking that impacts what it replies with so I get what you mean. Still, when alone, it's very convenient but I too might appreciate a few more buttons for HVAC. Maybe 3?

    @everydaydriver Another great informative video! Im all for PHEVs and EVs would love to own a volvo hybrid but the cost of a used volvo hybrid compared to a used volvo non hybrid is at least $20k difference!
    Last year I bought a used 2017 xc90 (non hybrid for $25k bc I could not save $20k in gas with a hybrid over the 5 to 10 years im going to own this car if I drive about 10k to 15k miles per year unless gas prices go way up?
    And then theres the cost of replacing tires more frequently because of the extra battery car weight and more to break go wrong with hybrids.
    Im hopeful that prices of used volvo hybrids come down some but for me it comes down to the total cost of ownership. Just my 2 watts worth! 😀

    I forgive them for calling it "Ultimate" if the polestar edition is missing comfort/convenience features in the name of lightness/performance.
    You know, like how a BMW M5 is SUPPOSED to have less features than the top trim 550i... because how can the M car also be the heaviest??? Isn't the point of the M car that 80% of the customers ask the dealer "why would I pay more for less? this car is too loud and shouty and nervous and raw for me"??? Isn't the whole point of an M car that anyone who isn't planning on hooning it would rather have a non-M car even if the non-M car cost MORE? Isn't the whole point of an M car that its SPORTIER? And aren't sport and luxury opposite design goals? Why is the M car nicer to cruise in than the base model? Shouldn't it be far more exciting but also less comfortable?? Ok I'm ranting about a car that isn't even in this video.
