me: I'm gonna read sooo many books during quarantine
my *short* reading slump: honey, you've got a big storm coming
Me
If “reading” we mean “binge watching Jane the virgin” 🤣
Charlotte Ruth SAME 😩
@@Sky-fz7ku omg that s what im doing, watching Jane the Virgin :))))

Me: let’s browse CZcams
Hailey: posting everyday
Me: ok...amen.
I understand that Carry On is not for everyone, mostly because the plot starts out slow. But if you give it about 150 pages, it gets a loooooooot better!!!!
Wolf O'Brien i love carry on sooooo much
Wolf O'Brien i didnt really love the ending
@@snowwhite8143 of Carry On or of Wayward Son?
100%. I couldn’t get into it but once you get over that hill, you can’t put it down
Wolf O'Brien i dont really like carry on or wayward son bur i loved reading fangirl and the small snippets in it
Hailey: *talks about 5 books in about 20 mins*
Also Hailey: *talks about all the books in an entire library in 20 mins*
What sorcery is this?!
i've never related to the title more, reading is literally the only thing that's keeping me sane during self quarantine
SusReads same!!
Same I’ve read more books in the last two weeks than I did last year
Well nice to see you here 😉😂
@@kerrythebibliophile1103 oh hello hahah :))
Omg yes
That introduction made me imagine that you were addressing the aliens for when they finally come down and discover CZcams
😂
I know Carry On isn't for everyone, and I definitely almost DNF'd it myself. But I powered through, fell in love with the story and have been obsessed with it ever since!
Ikr , it took me awhile to get through the first 100 pages, the beginning was very slow but then I kinda forced myself to go on and finished the rest in two sittings
@@lisak8492 yesss I had the exact same! After those first 100 pages it gets wayy better
It's my favorite book of all time after my first time reading it! I agree tho that it doesn't work for everyone.
I DNF’d it once and then went back like four years later and finally read it. Definitely understood why I DNF’d it the first time, but I am so glad I pushed through because I really really enjoyed it in the end!
Kenzie Moore Same!
Me: I'm gonna read alot of books in this quarantine
Online classes: I'm about to kill her whole damn career.
Man I was free but suddenly my school bombarded me with tons of home work and online classes. And the due date Is 10 April. 😭
And my motivation level is zero.
Palak jain me too omg😭
I have exams 💀
My due date is tomorrow and I have 20 assignments.
@@exphoricxashes7154 you got this. We kids are experts at completing our work at the last minute even when we need to lose our sleep and all the brain cells 😂
This is so relatable it's sad
AHHHHH i'm so happy carry on is on this list. it's true, the beginning is kinda slow, but it gets SO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!!! and baz is my whole life haha
SusReads YASSS BAZZZZ >>>>>
IKRR THEY'RE SO CUTE AJDBJD
YES the minute baz shows up it gets better!
I LOVE BAZ AND SIMON THEY'RE THE CUTEST
I GASPED when she picked up carry on and said she might unhaul it. READ IT IT’S ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Yess I AGREE!
Hailey, what about your April TBR? 20 books from that and 48 from here! I admire your confidence!😂😂
This isn’t a tbr, more like a dream list 😂
@@HaileyinBookland Lol. That explains it😂
omg Persuasion is so good, I think it’s underrated as hell. It’s the sweetest story about two people who got separated but never really stopped loving each other and then stumble into each other’s company again and!!!! It’s so beautiful. I think you’ll love it. It goes by really quick, I read it in a day.
about Carry On: I listened to the audiobook and it was great! the beginning is kind of slow, but wow it is worth it! the characters are everything!
Get past the first 100 pages and Carry On is incredible! I was so underwhelmed until about page 200 but even then I still enjoyed it. It just becomes a 5 star read around that time. Push through because it really pays off!!
Disney readathon!!! Yes please!! I LOVE Disney! ❤️
Edit: please read Kingdom of Ash, it was such a great ending! She really did a wonderful job concluding everyone storylines. And Crescent City is really great too! I had a lot of fun with it!
I live in the Netherlands and we have been in "quarantine" since the beginning of March. I used to work full time 5 days a week. Have an internship 1 day a week and go to school every other Saturday. So.. I used to be busy 7 days was week. Now.. My workplace is closed. School is closed. Internship canceled.
Reading books and watching booktubers are the only thing keeping me sane and going. My tbr consist of over 50 books now too.
Keep the content going Hailey! I love your vids and need them now more then ever.
You deserve a break!😂
@@emmasanders8480 lol yeah 😂
THE CHARACTERS IN CARRY ON ARE EVERYTHINGGGG trust me u will not regret reading it
Started reading IT by Stephen King last vacation and still reading
I'm re-reading Carry On by listening to the audiobook. Also, a really whimsical fairytale to try would be East of the Sun and West of the Moon. The heroine is so strong!
East of the Sun, West of the Moon is one of my favorite fairy tales! It also has some amazing retellings, including East (and its sequel West) by Edith Pattou.
nerdtastic2014 Mine too, and East is my favorite book!💙
Am I the only one who's terrified of big books??
I am too
Same. I can only read these as eBooks because then I don't know how big they actually are😂😂
Nope. I am for sure
I used to be, it wasn’t really until KOA came out when i realised I could get through them
I am attracted to big books
Gone with the Wind is my dad's absolute favorite book, like he has probably reread it a hundred times. I've been working through it for over a year. We love talking about it but I have to break it up with other books of different genres or I burn out. It is a really good story!
Thank you so much, Hailey, for thinking about us in the "front row" in these Corona times - it means a lot 🙏❤️ again, thank you for a absolutely lovely video. Love it! 📚
I would recommend rereading Empire of Storms before Kingdom of Ash, rather than Tower of Dawn. The information you need before going into KoA is found more in EoS than ToD.
Ava Paull I agree but there was also some info you find out in ToD
Dollface147 That’s true, but SJM does a pretty good job filling you in in KoA. Personal preference, I suppose.🤷♀️
Is nobody going to talk about how pretty Hailey looks???
I love the editions of your classic books!! The covers are beautiful!!
Oh my gosh yes, you should really read Carry On! One of my all time favorites!
Thank you for posting so often during this time ❤ brings joy to my day! 🌻
Absolutely love your looong videos, Hailey! ❤️
Such a great idea for a video! Loved watching it and relaxing a bit, thanks :)
I love Wuthering Heights, the story is so crazy!
I just want to say thank you so much for all the videos you’re putting up! I know it must be a lot of work so I just want to say that I’ve definitely been enjoying them!
I'm currently reading Anna K. and I'm also enjoying it. There's a lot of drama, and it follows multiple characters at once, but it's not so much that it's impossible to follow along their drama.
I want to read Sanderson! I have a sample of Skyward on my Nook to read, but I haven't started it yet.
I have a sample of Ember in the Ashes too.
I loved what I read of Caraval! I haven't finished it yet because I want to get the hardcover boxed set that we have at my store.
There are so so so many books on your list that I have on my TBR!😆
"Anna karenina" my crush reccomended that book
And it's rally big and frightening ahaha
Love your videos hailey💕💕💕💕
And your hair look amazing
Thank you! 🥰
It's on my TBR for 3 years. 😋😋
Love your outfit! Your headband and hair is so cute! 💙💙
Yess you're one of the only things that keeps me sane In this time. Love you and your videos♥️♥️
You've got some great books lined up! Also you look fantastic today, and I love that shirt. Thanks so much for all the content lately, I'm loving it. Also I think your videos are the one that my dog likes best.
Leviathan by Westerfield is SO GOOD and has one of my fave tropes.
Thank you for this!! I finally made a list of books I want to read because of you. 💓💓
I swear your channel is one of the only things keeping me sane (besides books and video games) during quarantine, thank you SO MUCH for the content 💕
The carry on audiobook is really good if you’re feeling stuck just reading it!
I’ve actually been able to read a lot over this quarantine phase, which has been really nice! I finally read Six of Crows, and I’m halfway through Crooked Kingdom now!
being stuck inside brings more time for reading!! I have so many books on my tbr I'm going to try to get to during this quarantine
Hello Hailey, first congrats I love your videos!
Gone with the wind was my struggler book last year but it was worth it sometimes slow but the book is damn good as the movie.
Wuthering Heights is one of my favorite classics of all time
Carry on was one of the best book last year. I found it very funny and i read so fast like i never did because the book attracted me so much.
Is it just me of the arc of scythe series just popping on her shelves?!🤣
It's a very catching cover I literally walked into the book aisle just to read what it was about. My secret Santa that year got it for me ironically
I love how much you've been posting! Obsessed with your channel!!
This video is probably my favorite outfit of yours! I love your headband and shirt so much.
I read/listened to tower of dawn and kingdom of ash last October and I really enjoyed the experience. I did what you were saying at the begging of the video and read along as I listened. It made me focus more on the story and more impressed in the books. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the finale book and I believe in you for reading at least one of these books. Also I love your content so thank you for sharing it
I have been loving your hair lately in your recent videos!!!!! I also just want to say that you are such an inspiration to me in my daily life. Just keep being you and don’t let what anyone says change you!!!!❤️❤️
You're right, I hadn't heard of most of them! I put only one on my TBR, but that's because the other two that interested me the most were already on it, and a fourth I didn't even have to look up to know it's already on the list!
Great stack of books there! Go for a chunky one- you can do it! No time like the present. Gone With The Wind is very good and immersive. Good luck! Thanks for the videos!
Wow, I hate looking at the books I haven’t read myself and need to read 😂 Good job at attempting to get your head around your books! I feel overwhelmed for you. Good luck!
oh my god!! I am so glad you might finally pick up GONE WITH THE WIND!! It is my favourite book ever, ever since I read it when I was in class 6. It's been almost a decade now and I still love this book! The movie is also amazing!
Your edition of A Tale of Two Cities is absolutely beautiful! It's one of my favorite ever classics I highly recommend picking it up! :D
You have the best editions of all your books. I am so jealous!!!! Happy reading
Loving all of the uploads!
I'm finally tackling the Shadowhunters books because of quarantine. I hadn't read any of Cassandra Clare's books before, but I'm on City of Glass and enjoying the story! 😊
Omg your bookshelf is so aesthetically pleasing.
Anna Karenina and Gone with the Wind are amazing. Definitely bucket list books and ones you should read!
Gone with the Wind is ALSO one of my favorite books of all time & it is... excellent. Truly one of the most vivid & engrossing novels I’ve ever read. It’s challenging in many ways, but wow is it so worth it. I truly can not recommend it enough. Your friend has good taste! & I’ve also heard that the audiobook is fantastic. I started to read a chapter a night/little by little until I got absolutely obsessed. The characters are so singular & unique & flawed. Ah! I could go on forever. Please pick it up!
Literally me with every single book on my TBR during quarantine! I want to read them ALL!
Right now I'm still reading The Toll by Neal Shusterman but I am hoping to finish that this week (even though I'm on page 75) I literally but it in planner so I can finish it!
You're videos keep me so entertained during this time so thank you!
Gone with the Wind is my favorite book of all time. It’s a beautiful masterwork that everyone will love. I read carry on finally a few months ago and really struggled to get through it. Don’t feel bad!
been loving the videos!!!
I just got Part of your world and Conceal, don't feel in the mail and I cannot wait at all!
I just finished reading The Handmaid's Tale. It is so good! I've actually been working on Lewis Carrol's collected works during quarantine. I've had the pink Barnes and Noble classic edition for years but have only managed to get through Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass so far. So I'm finally diving back in and reading more of the stories.
So nice to see Hailey's smile during these tough times
Your classic TBR is fantastic!!
Yes, I heard Carry On is not for everyone. I also felt this was a strange thing during the beginning of the book, but there was this one point in the story that changed everything and I am HOOKED FOR LIFE. Happy reading 🤗
I've been wanting to read Anna Karenina for so long, need to make some time for it. You're going to love Gone with the Wind, it's amazing!
Love your videos!!💗💗💗
currently also reading carry on right now! glad i finally picked it up --sometimes thick books just really seem overwhelming
Anna Karenina is amazing, I just finished it! aaaah I love fairytales 😍
A Tale of Two Cities is also on my tbr!
those are exactly the 3 books by Jane Austen I still need to read to 🙈
YES read Mistborn please!!
happy reading 💙
Carry On definitely starts out slow, but right when I made it to the second part of the book I fell in love with it. I also made my friends read the book and they all love it a lot too.
Just realized I have the same top!! And I absolutely love it!
I just read Carry on & Wayward Son! I loved both and used the app Libby since all I need is a library card to access my local library’s collection :)
I recently read Leviathan and love it. Such an easy and fluid read. Hope you enjoy it
Whoa, that left me breathless. Kudos hailey. I'm total sucker for series and sequels, hence I stick mostly to stand alones
The audiobooks of the Ember in the Ashes books are FANTASTIC! I’d recommend reading them that way. That’s how I read book 2 and 3 and loved them.
Macbeth and Julius Caesar are so good! I've also heard really good things about King Lear and his other historical plays
I'm currently making my way through the Game of Thrones books, I finished all 969 pages of the 2nd book earlier this week, took a fantasy break, and I'm going to start the 1200 page 3rd book next week. I love longer fantasy books because I want to dive really deeply into the world, and you don't get to do that as much in shorter books
after the first 100 pages it’s really good, the pace picks up and a lot happens. pretty much as soon as baz makes his entrance is when everything gets good.
The Sherlock Holmes retelling was awesome! I really enjoyed those 4 books 😊 The Light Between Worlds was a good one too!
Gone with the wind is my absolute favorite book! I always recommend that people read it at least once. It’s an easy classic to get in to if you like anything that’s historical/romancey.
Also the edition that you have is absolutely gorgeous! I collect gone with the wind like you collect Alice in wonderland. I’m always look for new and different additions, so I need that one!
Those Fairytales books are stunning !
I have Persuasion and Reaper at the Gates too, I want to read them both but I've read that the latter wis depressing, so I'm a little scared.
I hope you end up reading Carry On and Mistborn, I love them both, especially Carry On, I love it so much.
I was convinced you had read The Beauty of Darkness. It feels strange having completed a series you haven't because usually I'm always 5 years late lol
I haven’t read Gone With the Wind but my friend recommended it to me. She said even though it’s huge, it’s simple writing and pretty easy to get through
I agree, I read it when I was a teenager and I just devoured it. It doesn't feel super long.
carry on is a good book, i read that one and wayward son. i at first found it hard to continue reading but as i kept reading, i fell in love with it.
I have that same top!! Love American Eagle ❤
I'm so glad you want to read Timekeeper! It's my second favourite series of all time and it deserves more love.
Your copy of war and peace is so so pretty !
I totally recommend “Gone with the Wind”. It’s really worth the time. Rhett is the best.
YYAASSSSS CARRY OONNN!!!! (the characters are definitely more amazing than the story most of the times.. but they are art, I swear, they are so complicated real and just.. mood and cute and woooo) but I do understand it's hard in the beginning. You ahve to get trough the first 70 pages or so - actually until Baz comes into the pictures, then it blloowwsss - and i was about to give up myself, but thank god a friend stopped me and i am (seriously, not kidding) o b s e s s e d with them for like 6 months now
I just finished Great Expectations and it doesn’t feel as big when you read it. The characters are soooo intriguing! Definitely recommend.
you're serving EVERYTHING with that look
Lol coffee book tube and my kindle has been keeping me sane 😂 also this is the earliest I’ve been wooo!
Seriously, all your classics are so beautiful! Their covers, damn I envy you
i completely understand! i’m now on like book 10ish that i’ve read in the past month and a half cause i’m at home... 😅
I saw your Grimm brothers classic book and I was like "I HAVE THAT!"
I was probably one of the last people to watch Gone with the Wind. It has been so long though that I don't really remember it that well. I do remember thinking that I loved it and why did I wait so long to watch it. I have never read the book though. Good Luck with your reading!
Carry On is amazing. Just gotta get through the beginning!!!
you have such beautiful editions of these books.
winter of the world was a really good addition to the Century trilogy and I strongly suggest you read it. personally, I'm now struggling with picking up the last one because that is a running theme here it seems...
I just ordered the twisted tale books 😂 I’m so excited
We have a lot of common reads we should start haha. I hope you achieve it. And love your videos :-)
The fact that hailey is uploading every single day makes me want to jump up in delight!!!
Also, I read Great Expectations and ended up NOT liking it at all! So I am definitely interested to hear your opinions on it!
