    Nice work Dave! I've watched a lot of your videos, and it's very impressive how small these blasts appear, yet the rock is fractured into many manageable pieces - the progressive shock wave due to timed firing is much more effective than a massive bang.
    And LOL @ 2:36 - "You loaded these holes" 🤣

      Yeah, got it recently Brian, it is a ROC203 that I rescued, it was was made in Nov 2008, bought and used for one job, sold to another guy that used it for a bit of gold prospecting on his own land and then parked up for nearly 10 years. sorted out most of the bugs with it now, works a treat, it has shank adaptors for T38 and R32 drill rods and it came with enough drill rods to sink a ship!

      Around here there is a lot of land clearing so you deal with brush and logs that need to be moved and the rocks when it comes to building foundations. So a thumb is a must.

    • @demolitiondavedrillandblast
      @demolitiondavedrillandblast  Před 5 lety

      Going well Damo, it needs about 450CFM to run it flat out, my large comp can only supply 375 CFM, I've just put together a hose adaptor to allow me to feed it with both compressors.
      Yes, it drills a lot faster.

    • @donnkelley6823

      The mini got the reach advantage

    • @demolitiondavedrillandblast
      @demolitiondavedrillandblast  Před 5 lety

      As you noted the Airtrack has limited reach, good for preshoot trenching and benching at a quarry but limited use when doing forest road construction where you might have high rocks that need a ramp to get on. The 3.5 Tonne excavator is fitted with a drill that is about half the power of the Airtrack but it is more versatile.

    HI DAVE, DEPENDS ON WHAT THE NOISE YOU ARE HEARING IS? IF THE NOISE IS A "GROWLING OR DEEP GRINDING" NOISE, SOMETHING IS WRONG INSIDE THE TRACK DRIVE MOTORS. THE BRAKE PRESSURE & FRICTION DISCS COULD BE WARPED & "RUBBING" AGAINST EACH OTHER. THE JCB JS220 DOESN'T LOOK THAT OLD, HOW MUCH HOURS HAS IT DONE? THE TRACK MOTORS DO MAKE A NOISE WHEN ROTATING SO IT COULD BE NOTHING.
