Thanks Jan….. I use a thick emery board for those areas. Great tips as usual. 😻
You are so welcome
Thank you!!! I was using that gadget incorrectly!!! 😅
You are so welcome
Great tips! My Janome has that black button, I only recently learned what it was for. 🤦🏻♀️
Thank you.
I was worried about finding cardboard thick enough, and here you are folding it up 🤦♀️ and then the emery board idea! I swear, I overthink things way too much lol.
I tend to do the same LOL
Thank you so much, Jan. I just found you, and I'm wondering why it took me so long. Your teaching style is really so calming and informative. And fun. 😊 I have a question that's a bit off topic and hope you can help. I will be sewing a bridle bag with ottertex waterproof canvas (wish me luck). I have never used the fabric before and was wondering what stitch length to use. I thought I'd use a denim needle to help with the layers. My new machine is a janome mc6700p. I traded in my babylock machine with embroidery, etc. Anway, thanks again for all you do. I will be making a self binding baby blanket and burp rags later today 😊
You are so welcome. I would probably use a denim needle or at least a size 90
Thank you so much for the tips! I'm sewing bowl cozies with 2 layers of batting. What sewing needle should I use?
I would probably use at least a 90. If it's too bulky you may want to use a denim needle.
@@JanHowell ok thank you!!
Great tips as usual. Sometimes my machine sounds like it's going to break going over thicker seams. These will be helpful. Thank you!
You are so welcome
I have a Babylock Brilliant and the machine sounds like it’s hammering the fabric when it goes over the slightest thickness. I don’t remember it doing that when it was new but maybe it did.
Hmmmm, you may want to have it checked sometime when you have it serviced again.
hello absolutely beautiful video camera man please kindly film how to operate the babylock extra large sewing machine electric foot pedal how it's used to sew please kindly reply back OK?thank you very 😮
Thanks and you are so welcome
Big loop stitch underneath 2:46 2:50 2:51
Good observation
At 4:20, there is a long stitch on the right side of the fabric…not as long as with the hump jumper, but still about 2x-3x longer than the other stitches. Is that a problem?
Not so much. Those really long stitches would be problematic.
Hoe do I stop my machine creating a loop stitch underneath?
