@shintaiden She's definitely at fault but he did come down off the wall for a moment but that was to be expected as if you look theres an inward curve at that spot on the barrier, and she didn't react accordingly and blamed him despite there being a curve in the barrier right at that spot.
She's effectively blaming him for not crashing into the wall to give her more space....
Still shocks me that she never actually did a full flip in her racing career.

I miss Danica being out there, we knew there would be at least one wreck every week. Big hopes for Halie to do much better.
One wreck a week are rookie numbers. Two wrecks a week now that's more reasonable.

Man she took some hard hits. She never learned how to lock the car down to minimize crashes, but those really hard shots were completely not her fault, and some of them were just brutal. She may have been mediocre as a driver, but she was a tough chick...

She was terrible as a Nascar driver, but for a woman, very very talented and even when you dont' consider she's a woman, she did very well in IndyCar. She should've stayed.
@@Firemarioflower Why? She's just as talented a driver as a Kyle Petty, Ty Gibbs or a Bubba Wallace. Notice it was always second tier drivers always taking her out. Also notice at not one of these here is she at fault.
@@terrywilder9 Mate I'm defending her. For me, her career at Nascar was not good. It's just fact. I'm not hating and there have been countless of worse Nascar drivers, okay..... Sure, she wasn't at fault for many incidents but often she lacked pace. In Indy Car she didn't.
I felt she should've stayed at the top of American Motorsport, which Indy Car clearly is.... Nascar is a joke and it ruined her reputation. She had a good team but it didn't come off to fruitation. A shame cuz i liked her.

That's a new one! Only thing that I seen is the lack of strength to keep the car under control when something went wrong and a very bad temper which one would expect when it did. What she went through behind the scenes is no different than what Shirley Muldowney had to endure.
Fortunately, in that case there was nothing the jealous and untalented could do.
Jacques Villaneuve and Juan Pablo Montoya also got similar treatment and they are far more talented than 99% of those Hillbilly drivers going around in circles.
This really is a club that does not take kindly to outsiders, just like F1 and is not really that stock car racing.

Danica Patrick is one of the richest Nascar drivers at 6th place overall yet isn't even top 100 in drivers for how long she was "racing". If she was a dude she would have been gone quick with not even a 10 million net worth.
If people followed this hypothetical dude as closely or with as much excitement as people followed her, he'd be the face of Nascar. Danica Patrick and Dale Earnhart are the two must recognized names in U.S. racing.
It's weird that almost all of these crashes were not her fault. She just happened to be in the wrong spot
@MetalMastodon Big truth right there. Most of her crashes were not her fault, and she was actually a decent driver, but she never learned how to minimize damage, and never learned how to keep her emotions under control.
Danica just seemed like a driver who if it wasn't for bad luck shed of had none at all

I don't watch NASCAR, I do enjoy watching crash videos. But, why does it seem like Danica never tries to stop? Some clips seems like a light touch that can be regained and she just hammers the gas instead?
Yeah, it always looks like her head goes empty ay the first sign of trouble, and she can't think straight until after she hits the wall.

I will admit she was very tough. All of these crashes were pretty big. Some drives only have a few hits like these. She took a lot of them.

When she starts to lose control, she should release the accelerator. Keeping foot on accelerator always make things worse. She only should step on accelerator again when car is finally pointing in the direction she wants to go. Releasing accelerator helps to avoid wheels to reach a perfect stop with no grip and it helps to make wheels to move with the asphalt to regain grip. Also, as the car starts to align in the desired direction, wheel must be used in advance to neutralize angular movement on vertical axis.
I think it's that she still treated the Nascars as IndyCars, who are easier when you try to regain control at high speed when you put your foot down

I expected a lot of vitriol under this videos but it's very tame, luckily. Nice to see a bit of common sense and more nuance. Of course we all know she failed miserably in the Nascar, but in IndyCar she was something special.
Just call it, the hour of power, I'm truly surprized this isnt a 2 hour documentary ...of what happens when you couple no skill, with 750 hp.

Mechanical: 2013, 2017 (Logano Mechanical)
Other: 2010, 2011, 2016
Mixture: 2014, 2015
2014: Made her crash bigger than it could have been (Though going through the grass wouldn't have done much good anyway).
2015: Turned by Ryan Newman, didn't hold the brake (May have had issues with brakes, not sure),

It's like as soon as she looses traction an the car starts sliding she just does nothing ,that second crash she could have easily recovered once the car started to go sideways it's like she just closed her eyes an took her hands of the wheel lol

2010 She suffered a pit maneuver in her right rear
2011 99 moved to block her way, she failed to pit maneuver 99 car
2012 She was pushed sideways into the pit lane by car 43
2013 Tire problem, crashed against the barrier in the right
2014 Car 43 lost control, hit her in the front right and pushed her out of the pit lane yellow lane. She tried to return to the track, overcompensated and hit the right barrier.
2015 Car 31 pit maneuvered her in the left rear
2016 Car pit maneuvered her in the rear left
2017 Car 22 pit maneuvered her in the rear right
2018 Car 9 lost control, hit car 2, hit right barrier, lost control and Danika and car 56 could not brake and hit car 9.
Yeah. She's a dang good driver and the guys knew it. They did their best to take her out.
