- After a few weeks playing in the desert with the new Kawasaki KRX 4, we headed to the Tusher mountains in Utah to get some mountain trail time at nearly 12,000 ft. This gave us a chance to test the comfort, capability, and power of the KRX 4. Check out the video for our thoughts as we wrap up our time with the KRX 4... for now...

I have been thinking about the ES version just for the live valve fox shocks. My two seat KRX with Shock Therapy RIS was fantastic. Nobody has the four seat ES and they dont know when they will get some.
So, I just got back from driving to Southern Calif from the Phoenix area and bought a two seat RZR Pro XP Ultimate. I got a deal I couldn't pass up.
I have never sat in one or seen one up close until yesterday when I went to get it. So far I am very happy with it.
Cant wait to for a trail ride in it.
I'm only around 5 miles from Shock Therapy so I will probably head over there to get the RIS done to it.
This will be my last side-by-side I purchase, at 66 this is it...
Three guys in the woods alone looking for an extra inch! 👍🏻
😂
🤣
Joe seems to really know what he’s talking about. Not sure about Garrett and Dave though… -Joe
Love these went to Hatfield and McCoy trails and the Kawasaki dominated
Great video. I absolutely love my windshields I ordered from you.
We’re glad you like it 👍
Love the Krx they just need to make one at 64” and a 62” for us people who live in a lame state!
You guys should come to Colorado . We have some great high county rides.
We totally need to!
What up guys could I ask where your riding? And also love the windshield I bought from you guys for my krx
The trails are up above Beaver Utah on the Tusher mountains near big John flat. Some are part of the Paiute trails system. We LOVE the area! -Joe
Ok so for "back east" goes.... Know you break over and ball out with it. Drive one at night in dover ark for 4 hrs ballin and it is a tight trail beast. Used rock slider once to pivot around turn but if you can drive...it will go with confidence
In the videos on the 2023 krx the Cardo headphones your using look great. Will you do a review on them?

Thank you for sharing
Even a Talon would have ridden smooth on those trails. LOL The true test is when you hit trails like we have here in the Colorado rockies. They will put any suspension to the test and you will find any weaknesses. You can also spend all day running at or above 12,000'. My 2 seat KRX runs just fine at those altitudes, and it's not a light machine the way I have it set up. If you guys ever get out here and need a guide, give me a holler...
Oh come on don’t spread lies about the Talon. We had some pretty rocky areas though. We would love to get up to Colorado at some point. -Garrett
13:31 Impressive...I thought those were birds at first!
Yeah crazy nice scenery!
Great video as always. Do you guys like the KRX over the Talon LV-4?
I believe we would all take the KRX over the Talon. Also we sold the Talon and have a KRX 4 on order. 😄 -Garrett
You mentioned about noise I would be using one for some on road around town driving dirt roads [street legal] leisure riding no real rough stuff wife and I both have back issues like the KRX 4 for the leg room and cab comfort. So would it be too loud for that type of riding just be looking for something quiet with leg room. Have not drove any of the new sxs yet just in the beginning stages thinking about one.
Honestly all sxs are kinda loud. The best option is to use either a communication device or just ear protectors. With that said I do plenty of riding without that and it doesn’t bother me a ton. When you go on long rides for miles in a day the headsets are where it’s at 💯. -Garrett
hi guys, could comment on the trailer tie downs you guy are using 🙏
did the track tie down system come with your trailer?
I put it on myself. I used four ten foot tracks total and bought the straps at harbor freight. Best investment ever to be honest!!
Sweet trails ! I may have missed it but where exactly was that?
The trails are up above Beaver Utah on the Tusher mountains near big John flat. Some are part of the Paiute trails system. We LOVE the area! -Joe
@@DerangedOffRoad yea that looks amazing
Why blow up that spot. I ride my dirtbike all over Ut. Yes, it’s a popular spot. We don’t need anymore sxs up there. Keep them in the deserts and sand dunes . I’m 52 years old and would like to make it home to my family. I’ll be on my crf450rx. I can’t tell you how many close call’s I’ve had with the rental ppl in sxs. At least you guys drive slow. Back to my point. Please don’t blow up Ut. Video all you want. But, loose lips sink ships. We would appreciate it. 🤙
the ride is great till the kecs quits working mine has been in the shop 2 weeks not heard anything got 150 miles on it but ypk motorsports has great mechanics so iam in good hands
Interesting, we have not heard of that issue at all happening.
👍📽
Is it me or are the tires and spare different size?
Have you noticed that the steering is a little harder to turn on the 4 seater as opposed to the 2 seater?
Not at all in my opinion. -Garrett
Comfortable yes. Competent yes. FREAKING HUGE also yes. LOL. Like taking a yacht down a tight trail.
same width as a 2 seat krx and a foot shorter than a can am 4 seater… also only 200 lbs more than std krx
Exactly it’s not unusually long.
@@wyattwhitworth8184 I'm 5'8" and I cant see a damn thing out of it. 🤣🤣
Looking at buying a 50 inch side by side. I live where there is a lot of 50 inch trails. Do you think Kawasaki will build a 50 inch machine
I don’t see one coming in the form of a KRX, but that’s just my opinion. -Garrett
An ms 261 goes good there… or the husky 550xp
Question would the electrical part of the suspension, would it go bad with all the mud /water ?
It shouldn’t have any issues but anything is possible.
@@DerangedOffRoad would you recommend going to the extreme or since it’s electrical it’s always best to stay dry and get wet here and there ??
I have always been a person to keep my electrical stuff dry as possible. I have never found an issue running in rain and wet conditions lower streams, but I choose to never send my stuff into water over the dash.
@@DerangedOffRoad sorry for all these questions lol , so it be okay to hit some good size puddles ?? On the video you said it effects your vision which is understandable but am I able to drive thru the puddles with ease?
@@DerangedOffRoad just one more question does it feel slow ? Like when you floor it ?
Where did you find the head phones?
They are Cardo packtalk bold headsets. They’re awesome! Click the link in our description to Rockymountainatvmc and search cardo, you’ll find them. -Joe
This is a special edition?
No, just the es. Oops… our editor missed that one. His name is Joe. Garrett and Dave will give him plenty of crap… -Joe
How was the cab temp ?
And was it dusty ?
My honda pioneer is Terrible.
How noisy is it in cab ? Sounds loud
Not any louder then other machines, I feel they’re all pretty loud.
Turbo r or krx4 I need help !!!
KRX all the way and if you want more power add the supercharger. -Garrett
@@DerangedOffRoad that’s man for the info been having a hard time making up my mind
I have been around both machines and would take the KRX. 👍
Hay dirt warriors use stainless screws! Love the window but mine looks 10 years old as they are all getting rusty !
I will need to check for sure, but mine has now rusted at all after almost three years.
More riding. Less talking.
30,000 dollars……..plan on 60,000 for maintenance, accessories, tune ups…..
Yea…and another 100k to send your kid to college..
Boring
But it was good enough for you to comment. 😂
@@DerangedOffRoad yep, just good to draw a line.
How many Pollock's does it take to turn a krx 1000... need a couple more
Takes a lot when you don’t want to damage a machine that doesn’t belong to us
