    Once again, Dr. Campbell saves the day. I was trying to learn this, being taught by an instructor that merely has a Power Point with all the areas listed, and she just reads them off - fact after fact after fact..... It has no "meaning" and no context - so it doesn't stick in my head... Then I watch your videos, and it all makes perfect sense, and comes to life. I don't know if it would be rude and/or advisable to ask my teacher to please watch your videos, so that she can learn how to teach... In either event - THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!! I know I am going to make a great nurse, and impact many lives, and it would have been a shame and a loss if I never fulfilled that dream, simply because I chose a school with inept professors. Please keep in mind, your videos impact my life, so that I can impact others' lives, and so it continues. You are the butterfly effect that creates tsunamis!!

    Isn t there a dural space?

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  Před 4 lety +2

      potential space only

    • @dannichols6261
      @dannichols6261 Před 4 lety +2

      I think by 'potential space only' Dr. Campbell means that if a blood vessel (possibly crossing through the dura) is damaged or torn & bleeds, and the blood really has nowhere else to go, the force of the heart pumping that blood through the tear *forces* it between the dura and the arachnoid mater, *creating* a space which wasn't there before: a subdural hematoma (a pool of blood beneath the dura, exerting a pressure which is no longer constrained by the structure of the blood vessel, which can then push against & damage the underlying tissue of the brain). Subdural hematoma may be something you've heard of in relation to a blow to the head and led you to think that there was a dural space.
