    In this video, I demonstrate how to not only upgrade your brakes, but also how to adjust the stock brakes from Lectric.
    This Install is probably a 3/10 (easy). Not much to it at all. Just need to know what brackets to use, and a few little tricks (which I've added to this video). I know there are a lot of videos like this out there, but I tried to get some different perspectives and some cool test shots (at the end)!
    I also got to test out the new Insta360 Go 2 and One X2. They are such awesome tools for CZcamsrs! They have their quirks, but are quite good! If you'd like me to make a review of them, please leave a comment below.

      Just an FYI, I tried installing Zoom HB-100 brakes on my Lectric XP 2.0. They don't work because the spokes rub against the inner cylinder! Just one of the many differences between the two models.

    There is a pad adjustment screw on the brakes also. it is the small diameter screw that sticks out the bottom. Turn it in one direction and the pads open and the other they close. This makes it so you never have to touch the barrel adjusters again for wear.

      @Finnegan6674 Před rokem +1

      @@DJESHGAMING yes there is. Put your glasses on and look again. It is inline with the piston on the cable pull HB100 brakes. Look at the picture at the start of the video and you see the caliper on it's side. On the upper right hand side of the picture you see a silver screw sticking up and that is the pad adjuster when mounted on the bike it will be on the bottom of the caliper. . It is the only way to properly adjust the brake pads since they are not self adjusting. If you use the barrel adjuster you will run out of brake since that will lessen the travel of the arm that is connected to the cable. Again this is for the HB100 brakes not the stock brakes

Tomorrow I’ll put the fronts on (I did the back first, cuz I don’t think my wife has even touched the front brake 😝). The only problem I ran into was that the rack on the 2.0s was in the way of one of the screws, so I had to remove the back brackets to get to them. Best advice…reuse the adjustment housing from the old brakes so I didn’t have to crimp the tips of the cable again.

    I have these same zoom xtech mechanical & hydraulic actuated brakes and I got amazed at how much better they work compared to my Avid BB7 mechanical brakes. I have a Goped GSR46 gas scooter btw. The main reasons why I wanted to go with these brake calipers is the fact that they're both mechanical and hydraulic without the hassle of having to make custom length hydraulic lines for my Goped scooter also the BB7's only have one piston only so it pushes the pad from one side and these Zoom Xtech have dual pistons which grab the disk evenly and are softer. Although at first they had no stopping power at all!! Till the pads got worn in a bit and now they stop perfectly. The bb7's have I think a bit more stopping power but less modulation but then again I'm still breaking in my new pads on my zoom brakes so time will tell if that changes. Also I thought zoom xtech calipers were cheap Chinese parts but to.my surprise they're actually made in Taiwan,same as the Avid BB7's only cheaper priced! Great install video btw.

    I bought two such brake calipers for my Fiido D2 (whose original brakes are bad). After a month, the rear one stopped working and I replaced it under warranty - unfortunately the replaced one also does not work, and the front one (despite replacing the pads with new ones) brakes very poorly. I believe that such a brake without the expansion tank has no chance to work properly - it just either loses fluid or gets air - generally I throw it in the trash! There are now new brakes, i.e. double-sided, but mechanical, cable-controlled brakes - and it will definitely be better than the Xtech HB100. Never again!

    After a months of usage i can say they are really good if you don't heat them so much, like in city or contry roads. Problem is when you ride them with 160mm discs in downhill, they will start to heat too much, after pistons won't return to their position, brakes are getting worse and can't pull the lever, until they cool down. If i used them more and more in heat i think they will start to leak.
