Seestern is German for starfish, hence the logo. Beautiful watch, the most accurate of the Chinese homages and loads better than the Seiko original as is usually the case with the better Chinese brands.
Chris, thanks for doing consistent watch reviews. And by that I mean, just the watch and nothing on the side of selling something else. Not a lot of channels do that these days.

I certainly did not make a mistake when I bought this watch yesterday! Oh and I also picked Heimdallr Monster with fully lumed dial. Should be even more torch-like than the Seestern because it has C3 and fully lumed bezel too :)
What Seestern should have done is levelled off the case back with very thin Lazer work allowing at least 1.5mm thinner - used a curved dome Sapphire, not box dome- and made the bezel insert narrower - then you'd have a watch. Not sure why they chose to go the path they did. Also they have quality control issues, my crown is very wobbly and doesn't unscrew easily
I saw many reviews on the seastern watch. I am amaze with the brand that being a homage brand, they are doing a better job than the og brands. Respect in that aspect but i feel the brand should takeoff with their own designs.
the problem with seestern is once they sell their 500 or whatever V1 in a month, they come out with a V2 a month later. And when they sell out on that? What a V3? I don't like having the "old" one 30 days later. A year, like Apple? Maybe. A month? Pass.
I received my 'Seestern 62mas red fume' last week. It's well made, best 'value for money'-watch I own. Beautiful on the wrist!

Wow that price is killer. Loving the red. They've discounted a few other divers on their site also. I hope those prices hold closer to Christmas.

It would look better with a slimmer bezel. Still waiting for a homage to a vintage blancpain bathyscaphe. 37-38 mm. San Martin, give it a try?

You worry too much, if it's a good watch when you buy it, a new model doesn't make it bad.
