And now that I’ve seen your review, I’m glad I didn’t wait to get the bracelet. You’re right. Seestern should have used the Doxa bracelet and just engineered new end links to fit the 62MAS. And it looks like Seestern needs to improve their QC to be more consistent. A buyer shouldn’t have to be lucky 👍
I have a thin wrist and opted for a Fifty Four Watch 62 MAS. It had a box domed crystal and was impeccable. Cost about $300. Took a beating when I eventually ebayed it, though. I enjoy your reviews as always!
Phenomenal watch but a couple things I don’t like about the bracelet. Male end links but lucky the have changed them to female end links. Bracelet at The clasp is too thick, It would be perfect if it would be tapered down from 20 to 16mm. Other than that I’m very happy with it.
Alignment issues are always a bummer, no matter how low the price. I have had this one sitting in my basket for some time (with a red rubber strap), but I hesitate now..... (I have the San Marin 62mas, but I have sold the bracelet that it came on, which was much too chunky as well. On a wafer strap it looks much better.)
Yup the San Martin 62 mas V4 is even more extreme with the bracelet (and end links specifically). That comes to around 55-6mm….!!!! It’s also the angle. They come out at a very flat angle. Seiko actually Slant their’s down a little.
I just snagged one of these…on rubber. Got it to mod but that dial is pretty! I have a few bracelets to try on it….hey crazy dude I’m rocking the same doxamage while watching this. Great minds buddy 😉
Just got this on the bracelet & it has female end links 🙏🏻…… the moral of the story is don’t purchase the 1st gen of any watch .The same as don’t buy the 1st version of a new model car.Wait until they’ve ironed out all the issues & then buy the car/watch with all issues resolved
My Tandorio doesn’t have any of those alignment issues and loose crown stem. Only Con is bad lume on indices and no bracelet option. Quality and fit&finish is almost on par with my old sbdc051 and sarb tbh.
Bracelet is okay. Not brilliant, but not bad. It's very similar to the Seiko equivalent, and if you're going to order this watch you should definitely get it. If you can get an all brushed Milanese, that goes well with this watch, as will a tropic strap.
Those end links are horrendous. They definitely need to be female, not only for the reduction of LTL, but for aesthetic reasons also. A watch this small shouldn't have an LTL that big. Personally, I would rather have this on a rubber strap. I had this watch on my radar (blue dial), but after the QC hiccups in version one, and now this version, I might just be waiting for something else to come along.
I think what is technically wrong with this Seestern 62mas is that the lug length is way too long. Comparing to the real thing, the lugs are way shorter. I believe that contributes some way to those endlinks looking so much out of proportion in addition to it being male. Bummer. I was really thinking about getting this Seestern because i love the font of the bezel numbers compared to the san martin. Or i may save up for 20 years to shell out the 3.5k for the real thing....😂
Don't need to remove the bezel to change the insert. Nail polish remover in a small plastic container big enough to hold the watch head, put it in face down so the solvent covers the bezel. 4 hours and the insert will come straight off. I like the fake 3 link bracelet, how Seikoesque is that? I definitely get shot of the bezel insert, aluminium looks more natural on a 62MAS
Thanks for the review. Mine arrived on bracelet. The head of the watch is great. Beautiful red fumee dial, hands line up, got the full lume package as expected. I am happy!! The bracelet...the bracelet...Yes, the bracelet. I have to agree. It is very mediocre. I have a preference to buy a watch with the bracelet. I have it currently on a FKM waffle strap. Will likely stay on that, or a NATO/ZULU. Bracelet is in the box. It is nice to have incase I sell the watch. So, its all about the price with/without bracelet. If I had to do it all over again, I would do the same, except, leave the plastic on the bracelet and put it in the box for safe keeoing.
Lol ... noticed the hair from the beginning of the caliper usage ... figured you might be messing with the more OCD of us ... 'oh god nooooo!!!! The hair ... take it off ... my god man don't you see it!!!' 😁
It’s strange. It seems night and day between the doxa and this watch regards quality and design. It does look nice but hand misalignment, wobbly crown and dodgy bracelet, it’s got a lot going against it.
Have you seen the Tandorio 62mas homage to compare it to? That one seemed to get some hype recently. Shame about this Seestern 62minus (seems like you should get mas from Seestern) - wearing my Seestern Doxa v3 homage now .. which I am absolutely loving. Yeah ... guilty here ... I was one of the 'helpful' (reality annoyingly unhelpful) 'suggestors' about how to make sure you get the lum you want. 🤷♂️

I did the same. The FiftyFour was hugely disappointing and lost a ton of money when I sold it. The Seestern is much, much better.
Have it since 2 weeks (used, unworn €135) took bracelet of, put tropic on.
Not been of the wrist ever since.
Bracelet is definitely a deal breaker for me too.... Maybe they will fix it in the future.

Watch is ruined by the bracelet? Nonsense. Go review the spb143 and the huge gaps in their endlinks for a 1200$ price tag.

anyone find an aftermarket clasp for it? I love my v4 62mas but the clasp just doesn't work..
Send it back for a replacement.

I should have mentioned that! It is NOT worse than a Seiko bracelet it just doesn’t work with the watch very well.

It's under $200 and a dive watch. Two reasons NOT to give a damn about the bracelet.

I have a seestern 62mas as well with the rubber strap but it too has to many quality issues…. Simply put embarrassing and not worth the money…
Seestern bracelet is terrible. 2/10
