I do not have a switch lite, tho I have a normal switch: for the joy con drift problem, it is usully due to some gunk getting in the system. To repair it: two options: use some lubricant (it does marvelous stuff trust me) on the base of the joy con or open the joy con and use something to remove all of the hairs stuck inside. Trust me, I am a clean person, but there is always some dust getting in the system, making it less viable...

Yes some people may benefit, and I quite agree with the touch screen. Fingers can't reach all the way. But if you already have a switch and aren't s collector, or just have a lot of spare money, then the regular switch is just as portable.
But if you don't have one and really don't care at all about tv mode then of course it's worth it. Can still pair n joycons if you feel the need to play that way.

Such a simple thing, and you'd assume it could be added to lots of women's clothing.
But apparently not.
Because screw practical considerations, right?

If Nintendo would just introduce some sort of save synchronization I would literally go out and buy a Switch Lite today. Also, I know some people will go "hurr durr just use a hotspot", but an LTE Switch Lite wouldn't go remiss.

Has there been a software update yet to enable bluetooth headphone support? That and the screen size are ALMOST deal breakers for me but I went ahead and ordered one anyway. Which games should I get? I've ordered Pomeon Sword (for the nostalgia), Zelda A Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. I want to get Mario Oddysey as well and there are a few other JRPG games I'm looking at too. Suggestions?
@TheJaisah
There’s some great RPG’s on the switch which are worth getting.
-collection of mana & secret of mana
-Astral chain (while it’s more action than rpg, It’s a must have for anyone who loves platinum games titles)
-bayonetta’s 2+1
-Fire emblem Three houses (worth it for the amount of hours & replay value)
-xenoblade 2 & torna the golden country
-Xenoblade DE
There’s some really hidden RPG’s that while may have “questionable” mechanics and or gameplay I strongly recommend getting.
-Labyrinth or refrain coven of dusk (the writing, humor and overall story and gameplay is very good. If you’ve ever played any Disgaea games before there’s a level of customization within Coven of dusk that is quite interesting)
-Mary skelter 2 (this installment comes with the 1st game so a 2 in 1 digital only, but worth getting because of the story and interesting rpg mechanics, and somewhat of a gothic inspired design.)
Both titles under the hidden gem I’ve listed are 3D dungeon RPG’s. If you’ve ever heard of the Etrian Odyssey games for both the DS/3DS, you essentially just travel in maze like dungeons while exploring deeper floors, grabbing items, fighting enemies and eventually leaving the dungeons when you’ve reached the end floors per run.
I have a switch lite and had it for 6 months. I have never had a large issue with Joy-Con drift, the only time I had it was in Breath of the Wild, but it was easily fixable by just the recalibration system that is built into the switch, which can be accessed in the settings. I have used both consoles before and I prefer the lite because, 1. I use handheld more and the lite is more comfortable in the hand and 2. the cost.
everyone's talking about inch jokes and im like did those 200 dollars just touch linus' dingle dang?
5:45 the fact that everything actually fits in one pocket while also being way to much for anyone to ever put in one pocket is so funny to me.
You're right that Nintendo's screen is a bit disappointing compared to the kind of screens we are used to on phones.
But thinking back, this is actually kind of par for the course from Nintendo's portable consoles. The original Gameboy had an ancient (even for the time) 4 shades of gray, non-lit LCD screen compared to its competitors like the Atari Lynx or Sega Gamegear which all had backlit, colour LCD, features that Nintendo wouldn't bring together until the Gameboy Advance SP. And I guess it has mostly worked out for them since the hardware is "good enough" for their games to shine through.
But yeah, a nice OLED screen on a switch would be sick. That being said, the feature I want the most is Bluetooth. Seriously, Nintendo.
You called the OLED Screen on a Switch

Yep, a little bit of a modern upgrade like a bezel-less screen and Bluetooth earphone support would make it so much better.
5:38 - My best pair of earbuds WILL NEVER BE WIRELESS.
Why its just easier to be wireless
@@owensks: Wireless requires a separate battery for each component, which means each component needs to be charged separately, and audio quality is dependent on signal strength. So actually wired is easier.
@@owensks Because they generally suck? They have integrated DACs that are usually garbage and batteries that wear down. Although I guess they are fine for something like the switch.
Yeah I'm sitting here with my DT770s and am like "that's where you're wrong Linus"
I dislike wireless earbuds cause the pairs i always try and use are delayed by a significant amount. Also i just dislike having to charge my earbuds every few hours, cause if i forget to charge them, then no music on my walks to work. I also just like knowing that if i see my wires to my headphones, i know i still got them, unlike with wireless where i feel like i gotta check and see if i still have them on me every half hour. Wireless ain't for me, but i guess lot's of other people love wireless which is fair, as long as they don't try and pull the wireless earbuds are better in every way bull crap

I bought my Switch Lite during the pandemic back in 2020 and it has given me a lot of fun since then. It's definitely a bang for my buck.
If u get one of those case holders it makes the button layout more comfortable
In my opinion, I couldn't care less that the Switch Lite doesn't work on TV's and can't be docked. It's meant to be a portable device for people that DON'T like the dock because either a they think it's stupid and/or b they're afraid of scratching it (the Switch screen that is). Same with the joy cons, I couldn't care less whether you can't detach them. Again, it's meant to be a handheld device.
Jordan King I bought a switch when the lite came out. I was never convinced about the other switch. If I wanna play on my tv I have a ps4 where I can play in 4K HDR, and if u wanna go crazier then a pc or the other Xbox with true 4K could be better. To me nintendo is all about handbells. I’ve owned pretty much all of them without even realizing. Like u need a handheld and that’s why we have nintendo.
The only thing with the no removable joycons is that of there starts to be drift, that's pretty screwed.
@NestorRamirez you’re not playing 4k hdr with a ps4 pro, ps4 is 1080p and they scale it up to “imitate 4k” its not native 4k content, only the xbox one x plays native 4k and has a 4k blu ray player, if you have a 4k tv and a proper sound system and setup, you’re missing out trust me. Native 4k hdr10 compared to upscaled 1080p. Do the research for yourself
Toronto dude that’s what I said finish reading the comment before you start replying smh
Toronto Plus even if it’s upscale 4K you can’t tell a difference. Specially when playing a little far from tv, u probably could tell a diference in a small monitor though. But not on a tv. So yeah my point it’s still there, if u wanna play on a tv then just get a PS4 pro or an xbone. The switch is a handheld for most people who own it.

Went and bought a USB DAC/AMP so I don't really use it anymore. Though I have once when I was on low power since I don't have a power pass through dongle yet.
I refuse to support a dongle only future, i think it's ridiculous

i got a used lite (cheap, don’t care about the missing functionality or durability) at half the price for myself to use in my cramped dormroom, and a single full-sized switch oled for my family at home where it can be used for local multiplayer & motion-detection games. it’s a decent compromise for price and giving everyone their own device, while also having all of the functionality.
