    Good and bad about the video-
    Good- It didn’t disappoint, when I get the notifications I know I’ve got a 10-15 min break in my day where I can just enjoy some great content.
    Bad- EVERY TIME I watch one of your videos.....I can’t get my F*#*king challenger soon enough!

    My SRT8 has 129,000 miles on it. Still runs a 5 second zero to sixty time. And a 12.9 quarter mile. I absolutely agree with you on how Dodge made the Challenger look even more intimidating,and beautiful, than the original version. I'm a postal contractor and I can use it to do my pickups at the end of the day because it has such a spacious trunk. It gives a whole new meaning to express mail. and it also makes work not so much like work. I like this car so much that I'm going to keep it even when I upgrade to a Redeye.

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  Před 3 lety

      Awesome! And I don't blame you at all. The first Challenger I ever drove was a white with black stripes SRT8 in Austin Texas while I was there on business and had a weekend to blow. I had a crazy idea to go buy a fun car and drive it back to California instead of fly. The first dealer I went to had that car and it blew my mind. I decided not to do the drive because it was 2000 miles and I didn't want to miss the LA car show coming up. But I got home and that weekend bought my first Challenger. Then the obsession took a very expensive turn and here I am with a Redeye. lol

    Ocmotivator let me tell you something. In my right mind before I started watching ur videos would I ever imagine being able to have anything other than a scat pack Challenger. I love the scat pack. But last week made a wrong turn so I decided to use the local dodge dealership to turn around. Well of course a salesman catches me and did his spill. But the hook line was I have a hellcat. I said has long has it not the family car one I will look at it. He said nope it a Challenger. Well to make a long story short the day after I put wheels and tire and a new cold air intake on my scat pack. I walk out of the dealership with a widebody hellcat Challenger. Ur motivation quotes up lifting people in ur videos thank you keep doing what ur doing. One last thing was the first person I wanted send a picture to was u just to say thank you

  • @VchaosTheoryV
    @VchaosTheoryV Před 2 lety

    The customizability is increased with the Challenger. Example: you can chrome out the trim, gas cap, chrome wrap the front and rear bumper a bit, retro fit and size out the wheels. Bam you have a very retro throwback of a very modern vehicle. You cannot do that so simply with a modern Mustang; maybe with the 2012 model year, definitely not with the modern Mustang or Camaro. I understand entirely that many people simply don't want to anyway, but it's for the fact that the body style is so iconic that it's effortless to do so.

    @OCMotivator: You may wanna look at this forum thread regarding the cost of brake job replacements. It is highly unlikely barring some kind of critical failure that your rotors would need to be replaced, and the brake jobs on these cars are pretty easy to do in your driveway. 4k is obscenely expensive for something you could do for a few hundred at your house:

      I agree. The rotors very rarely need replaced. And if you change the pads yourself,even if you use high prices pads, should only cost about 150 bucks and about an hour's worth of time. Easiest pads to change that I've ever seen.

    Are you leasing or financing the hillcat ? & in your opinion what do think it’s better ?

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  Před 3 lety +1

      I bought the Hellcat. The lease offer on the Hellcat was bad due to the price and ultimate depreciation of the car. I generally lease though because I don’t keep cars long and I don’t keep high end cars when they’re out of warranty as repair costs combined with depreciation can rapidly outrun any logical reasons to keep the car. Yes the Dodge is super reliable but that changes with any car as they get older. Leasing to me is great because I get a new car every 3 years and I only pay for what I use and if I can wait til the 3 years is up, I have no negative equity to pay or roll over. I believe the only reason to buy is if you plan to keep that car for 5+ years and you can keep the miles down and repairs at a minimum and you won’t get the itch for the new models. For me buying my Hellcat was ok since it’s a business expense and a second pleasure vehicle and the interest rate I got down to 3.4% which is like free money. I leased my scat pack and my RT and my last BMW and it was a much easier move up process and cheaper. I also don’t believe in putting any money down on leases since you’re renting the car in essence. Why would you put a down payment to rent anything. Just put the money in the bank, and let the leasing company carry the whole thing.

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  Před 3 lety

      Nooooooooooooooooo....chrome. Old cars, yes, new cars no. Chrome is the entry level standard for all base model cars. Once chrome plastic became over used by automakers to make cheap cars look more expensive, it became so overplayed that it's considered cheap looking. Bronze & pewter shades, polished aluminum, and carbon fiber have replaced chrome. Powder coating and matte is still hanging on too. Just is what it is. But to each their own. I saw a guy rockin True Religion jeans and an Affliction shirt the other day. Style is still and always will be subjective as well as influenced by affluence.

    I’ve been looking into getting a hellcat or hellcat red eye but my dealer is telling me that on the 2021 I can’t get a 6spd I can only get a automatic what are your thoughts

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  Před 3 lety +1

      Rob Prewett yes this is true. The Hellcat Redeye is way too much power for a manual. The technology in the automatic is far superior than any human can duplicate with a clutch and gearshift. If it’s about manual enjoyment then get a Scat Pack manual and have a blast. But the reality is that trying to shift a car with either 707HP or almost 800hp on a track with a manual is a little archaic and just doesn’t make good track sense. So they got rid of the manual on these high HP cars. With all of that said, I agree, there’s nothing like a cool manual! But not going to happen on a Redeye unfortunately. And for good reason.

    • @ocmotivator
      @ocmotivator  Před 3 lety +1

      Aj Perkins I just jumped it right into where my big negative wire goes into my amp. No noise or anything. Works great. I did have to take the LinkQ apart and remove the auto remote jumper and use an actual remote lead from the trunk fuse box as it wouldn’t turn off.

      Frankie 072 whoops. You’re right. One of my reasons in another video why I didn’t want a demon. 👍👍. I just suspect the widebodies will be much more rare many years to come since so fewer are being sold. But we’ll see. 👍

      @@ocmotivator I agree with the functionality but as far as looks go, the narrow body looks better. The Widebody kit takes away some of the clean lines.

      Yung Methadone that’s subjective and your opinion. I see nothing unclean about the lines on the Widebody. To each their own.
