    3:49 Those hills are always much larger through a child's mind's eye. I had one in my neighborhood too. It doesn't look like much today but it was a HUGE hill when I was a kid

    Very nicely done! I've been a fan of Mr. Christie's work for a long time (the historian, not the cookie maker....). My history classes have been shown many of the "For King and Empire" videos, and I'll be making sure they see these as well.

    I think this is the story of most Canadians that had grandfather's or great grandfather's that served in the World Wars.
    It is too bad that Canadians are like that.

    Why would they not have been in a French regiment Norm? Being from Montreal I would have expected them to be in the R22er vice the Patricias.

      He mentions it kinda near the start, his grandfather and grand uncle were from a mostly scottish part of Montreal so they didn't join up with the mostly french speaking ones
