I really enjoy these battlefield tour type of documentaries. Really gives you a sense of the place, makes the show look really impressive when they put in the legwork to get it right.

Fantastic bit of history. keeping everything in perspective 3rd Royal Australian Regiment had been under constant wave attack 23-24th April on hill 504 until they were told to pull back. Then it was the PPCLI tune to stand on 25th. Both Battalions are still like brothers today. Without forgetting those wonderful Kiwi Battery Boys!
    Ex Charlie Company 3RAR.

The Kiwi gunners really showed they'd learnt the WW2 lessons well - long-range snipers indeed! And they carried that knowledge through to Vietnam as well!

As a former Canadian army member it infuriates me that the very people in Ottawa who send our troops into harm's way are the ones who dishonor them the most......

Seoul is a modern city but conflict persists as manifested in cross border conflicts albeit mountain guerrillas in the northeast of the southern republic in1996 ; gunfire exchange at the DMZ in1997; naval gunfire in Yellow Sea by their borders in 1999. All those viewed while I was there as an ESL teacher. Tanks, planes columns were not visible; only helicopters, jeeps and transport vechiles. Hardware is all in concealed locations. Civilian installations are meanwhile predominant as country continues to modernize. Considerable transition.
