The floor is pretty not level in some places and we decided to pour a cement floor over it. I was very pleased with the result after i finished.. But the dried up cement floor looks a lot different.. 👻

the stone floor was beautiful why cover it up ?
That original stone floor looked so good. Like in a luxury home. Maybe it could have been ground to level or covered in clear epoxy leveller. Retaining the room height and door opening.

Why did you not use "Self-levelling Cement"? would have saved you hours of work and you could have done the entire floor in one go. Now your going to have problems with the door opening and closing, the washing machine, and anything else in the room.
Everything will get a new place in the kitchen 👻
Maybe tile the floor or even a nice linoleum will make it look perfect!

You should pick yourself up a Kreg Pocket hole jig for building cabinets/Boxes Etc.
Very happy to see the electrics being protected, that has been one of my concerns through the renovations!
The best way to level your floor of course would have been to take all the existing floor stones out and that would have given you a level floor and your windows would have been more appropriate height. By raising the floor actually made the final result of your entire floor more difficult in my oppinion.

I really like that rustic floor style, they had it in the walkways in older houses in the 70's and 80's, we called it slasto, cool stuff water and fire resistant not sure what stone you using it looks similar, we have it in our current house. 👍☺️

Try putting some washing up liquid in your concrete mix when bricklaying you will find it is muck better to squeeze between the bricks regards Andy from Felixstowe Suffolk UK.

WOW! This is a new if not a bit sliw method of "leveling" a ciment floor! But you did it! Next time try the portuguese way...built leveling mounds let dry then use that to level the poured cement...

The white spots the floor is salt resulting from not pouring enough water on the cement. You pour water at least 2 time a day for 3 days.

The room is a temporary kitchen. Eventually it will be a guesthouse bigger door, window and with bathroom. I already enlarged windows in the other schist part of the house, check out the video 👻

The floor would look even better if you polished it off like they do commercially. If your not going to tile it that’s what I’d do…just saying, nice job.
Think about XPS insulation and screed to bring up the floor? Fine content always look forward to latest DIY adventure.
