I Knocked on this random door, NO ONE ANSWERED. It was a complete eyesore on this street, every other house was nice and maintained. So after no one answered I went to a Neighbor to see what the deal was with this lawn and he gave me the rundown. As I was walking back to the property (debating if I should mow it or no without promission) I was spotted by another nieghbor that recognized me from CZcams. He said they were about to call the county on this house...aka code enforcement. I told him id go ahead and mow it so he didn't have to and then asked if he thought it would be since I don't have pro mission and he told me HE WOOULD PROTECT ME!!!

I've always wondered why when people know that their neighbor is elderly, ill, or deceased they don't just go ahead and mow the neighbors lawn if it needs it really bad. Doesn't need to be a regular thing but enough to keep vermin out and keep it from looking trashy. That's what my dad did, and sent us kids to do when we started mowing. Taught us to spend our energy helping a neighbor and neighborhood instead of on complaining. I continued to do that when I bought my home. Now that I am elderly with mobility issues I can't anymore but I have hired help to cut a neighbor's lawn that was ill. You should be proud of the nice work you do. I can see you do as fine a job as if these kawns were your own, maybe even better.
The worst part is executors too often have a six to eighteen month wait to get to court and be authorized by the judge to do anything. They can't do anything with the real estate before that time.
You could gey sued...
This is the world we live in, most people just don’t care about their neighbors.
My gdaddy taught my brother and I, to pick up trash and keep our street clean.
I'm blessed with neighbors who mowed my yard while I recuperated from various outpatient procedures. When I had covid they came with plates of food for me and fed my pets, because I was glued to the bed and couldn't move. I had bought an oxygen machine for my late wife is the only thing that saved me.
"I'll protect you" - that was sooo sweet! You always do such a great job & this was no exception.
Protect you but I won't do the right thing and mow my neighbors lawn....I doubt very much if he would protect you....bless you for your kindness.

So the yard is uncut because one of the owners died and currently no one is living there. The neighbor's response is to call Code Enforcement, not to help out a neighbor in need. Wow, what great neighbors indeed. God bless you, Al, for doing what the "neighbors" wouldn't do for this man's yard (the one they don't like looking at...). Even after watching your videos, your message to help others and make the world a better place didn't get through.
Not all neighbors r helpful. My husband has cancer and they know but they never offer to help in any way and we r senior citizens.
Sooooo....when was the last time you helped one of your neighbors in need??????
I can't believe people are so unhelpful even with a wonderful free service. I love your videos and wish you well.
Not every body mows grass. Here are some who often cannot: the physically ill, the handicapped, those who are weak, those who don't have lawnmowers and those who have no ability or talent for it so they pay someone to do theirs.
I doubt there are any neighbors around. There are people who live nearby, but no neighbors.

Wow that lawn mower does a good job getting the debris off also.
Old school trick i do what Al does and have never used a leaf blower yet just a mower saves on time because you can kill two birds with one stone and that is mow and remove the debris at the same time
That's the way I clean my driveway too. It's not quite as good as a blower, but much easier.

You should always have a few cans of starter fluid it has lots of uses degreaser, carb cleaner, flamethrower when you're fighting wasps and start an engine that doesn't want to start
Great improvisation using the mower to clean up the grass and dirt on the path. No holding you back. You went full at it. The transformation looked great. Love what the other property is doing with the reno. Good job as always Al.😊
Yes, it is a cool trick. I do it at home every time I mow. I get the majority of the grass off of the driveway before anyone gets home. Most times, depending on the Florida wind, I never even break out the blower. Just use the lawn mower in the wind direction.

Instead of the neighbors complaining and calling code enforcement, they could work together to keep the grass and weeds cut themselves.
It doesn't matter how large or small the yard is, you always do an amazing job. Thank you for cleaning them up and making the neighborhood look great again.

Not only keeping the city clean but preventing squaters from destroying empty houses. Great to see that the house is in the process of being restored.
Pop that gas cap open when it’s real hot and your blowers doing that. Usually does the trick. Back pressure in the tank from the gas vapors. Great video man glad to see you back at it!
