impxrfxcion_ idk if u could say that was rude lol. Imagine not knowing the French speak French? I mean it is idiotic of them to not know any African languages, it is the second largest and most diverse continent 🤷🏽♀️. It’s just in the us our education system is so terrible that it’s normalized to not know things that r required reading in the rest of the world. Just because it’s normalized doesn’t make it okay though lol there’s no reason the most powerful country should rank like 50th in education.
Lmaooo
Same 😂😂
i felt that resonate in my heart, my guy.
I had to pause at 6:16 when he said that there aren't any fluent speakers of his language anymore. I knew this happened a lot with indigenous people in America. But hearing a native speaker actually say it broke my heart. I hope more people can learn it.
Culturally it wasn't written down, then you know the whole intentional/unintentional genocide thing. I grew up in a "civilized" tribe area so some of the buildings and streets had Ojibwe names.
He said no one is fluent in it, so he is probably not a native speaker. I'm guessing he learned it from his ancestors or maybe tribal records. Some people are trying to being back "dead languages" that no longer have native speakers. Sadly, many Native American languages no longer have native or fluent speakers, sometimes just teachers and researchers who have learned parts of thr language.
Native Americans were butchered in so many ways
Not to be a douche, but tens of thousands of languages has died, it's completely normal, english will die one day too.
@@barrettdecutler8979 lol honestly if ur grandparents didnt go to residential school u will most likely know ojibwe atleast

As a native Hebrew speaker who has a Russian speaking partner this hurt my soul.
If you're gonna have people guess the language get people who actually speak it as a first language and not people who are gonna butcher it and sexually and verbally assault other people without their knowledge.

As a Mongolian Im actually pretty surprised they guessed it pretty easily. I met a Canadian person and they thought i was speaking Japanese-
I’m crying… I’m Canadian and I thought it might have been an Asian language 😅
@@fox_iscute3277 Mongolian IS an Asian language.......
Japanese!?! How!?! I could see them guessing like, a Chinese language as they sound a *little* similar, but Japanese sounds vastly different to either! They must not have many experiences with languages outside of their own.....
As someone who studied japanese certain parts of some words do sound similar, maybe its how the vowels are pronounced. But i wonder if thats because of the impact Mongolia had on east asian
@@kuroichan101 Most likely yes. The more modern Mongolian thats spoken in the video’s a lot more similar to Russian id say, as mongolian’s usually written in Cyrillic letters nowadays. But the older mongolian’s very similar to some other east asian languages like Japanese, Korean, Chinese(maybe, i dont know very much abt the language). It also goes as Ka, ki, ku, etcetc. There arent many lone letters. Its also read from up to down. Im not really good at it(the older mongolian language i mean), but i do plan to get better at some point, so my info might be a bit untrue, but id say its pretty accurate.
The Dutch speaker spoke the language pretty good for a non native! I mean, you definitely can instantly hear she’s not a native and her word choices were a quite odd from time to time. But for a foreigner to speak Dutch like that is still pretty damn impressive, so hats off to her!

The tall guy really showed how general culture can help you a lot understand others. quite literally in this case
he is a translator by profession so has a better understanding of language and culture than most people. and i agree with the sentiment that people should try to be more empathetic and educated in general, it helps with communicating with people from different backgrounds.
@@jonathanphillips5794 I agree with you partially. I just don't think that he simply has more general culture because he is a translator by occupation, I do think however that people should care more about learning and having knowledge regarding the fact that there are some people who simply don't care about these kinds of things. It's so amazing when a foreigner knows about your culture or when you speak with a foreigner about their culture. It really creates an instant relation.
Not really. The guy thought Flemish and Dutch are two separate languages. He also assumed that a Native American language sounds Middle Eastern. Also not sure what that’s supposed to mean since most middle eastern languages aren’t even remotely related to each other.
@@sdf6508 um yeah Dutch and Flemish are not the same, what are you talking about?
@@CoachChaoZIt is the same language. Flemish is not a language, it’s the name of the accent of Dutch spoken in Belgium. It’s essentially the common name of Belgian-Dutch. Saying that they are two separate languages would be like saying that American-English and British-English are two different languages.
Movies are actually a really great way of learning a language. Like learning Japanese using Anime is such a popular method so long as you know the basics of grammar structure, slang and a bit of culture.

I was offended by the so-called "Hebrew speaker". She obviously doesn't speak the language. What she said to the man at the end translates into "I love you are" (feminine, singular) which makes absolutely no sense. The guy speaking "Russian" was downright disrespectful. Butchering other people's languages is not cool.
Huh? Which part means “are”? Et? That doesn’t mean anything, it’s just a preposition (with no English translation) that’s usually put before a word that begins with “ha” (the) like “hee (she) achla (ate) et hatapuach (the apple) among other things…

Flemish is the most bizarre, mixed, unique languages but once recognized it makes sense and beautiful. It’s not a dialect (?) but very accurate description. It’s pure mixture of every and very difficult to learn; second to Dutch and lux.
As a Russian, when that dude started speaking, my senses could be considered thoroughly assaulted. I mean we're vulgar... but we're not that vulgar.
I know! It was like wordage straight out of the worst James-bond-on-crack movie out there.
and he said he had a DEGREE. if that's true, whoever gave him this degree should take it away. his grammar is terrible, his vocabulary is straight out of an idiotic action movie with Russian mafia as the main villain
Он ПТУ закончил!
@broke zach Pretty much every russian in cs go mm curses lmao
Russians are not vulgar at all... Russian are honest and have high moral values ( family, friends and loyalty ).
Long live Russia 🇷🇺
Polish person: *coughs
Everybody: IS THIS RUSSIAN?
My ex is part polish....he tried to teach me polish and I didn't understand because it's too hard to learn
@@samanthacrafts1185 Its not ''too hard to learn'', Its just harder to learn than English or other Romantic languages
I’m half polish but I’ve never heard anyone comparing polish to russian. Ukrainian sure but never russian.

samantha crafts nothing is too hard to learn lol

That’s not how russian words sound, he made it sound do bloody rough while it’s absolutely beautiful language
@@Billilii read the fucking title
i felt really disrespected in a sort of like "no.................." way.
He said that Russia people curse really bad and thats not really true. Among the young people we say a word whose meaning is close to “shit”. When you go away from that there is really not a lot of cursing. He wasn’t talking right and i really did not understand a word other than “привет” that was a really poor representation of Russian language.
"He eats the words" is actually a very cool way of thinking about it.
Words are yummy don't u know
