I used to play this when I was little, good memories. I used to always put myself front view of the car and play the raining or stormy tracks. Was very therapeutic.
One of the first game I played there you gaind speed buy learning to break in the corners, B4 this game all other was just allways press full gass and hope 4 the best ;)
i had this cos i was an unfortunate victim of the Power VR technology lol hehe Power VR never had the horsepower of the 3DFx ... still it was my first sample of the future
PowerVR were superior to 3Dfx colorwise: it was real 24 bits while 3dfx was only 16 bits which led to "oily colors". PowerVR did the graphic card for the Dreamcast which was far superior to any 3d hardware at the time (and equaled, or even surpassed, top high end PC graphics cards of that time). Also PowerVR is one of the major display hardware (GPU) for today smartphones. PowerVR architecture was far beyond 3Dfx one. PowerVR still exists, while 3D fx has died very quickly.
A racing game from the Nightmare Creatures and Fifth Element devs that looks almost way too suspiciously similar to Daytona USA with stock cars that have their wheels sticking out, albeit a poor man's version of it.
Don't remember doing anything to get this specific game to run. But there are software like dgVoodoo which can get old Glide / Voodoo games to run on modern hardware.
@@manczyslaw1 I think I got this game free with my diamond stealth 3D card, I think it had 3dfx. Ha, I haven't thought of this in so many years. I am probably way off on the name, but this was one of my favorite games to play multiplayer with friends. The rabbit mode race with the arena and the ramps in the center of the track! Good times! I was the last one in the bunch without high speed internet in the group. I still had 56k dialup! Ahhh memories.
Game programmer: Here's my new racing game, what do you think? Company executive: It looks nice, but you forgot something. Game programmer: It has everything a racing game needs, cars, opponents, tracks... What's missing? Company executive: You forgot to put in checkpoints and a timer! Game programmer: Huh? It's a home game, not an arcade game, what do you need a timer for? Company executive: Because all racing games have a timer. Game programmer: But you don't need it. If a player loses the race, the game is over. Besides, races in the real world don't have checkpoint timers. Company executive: But...all racing games have timers! Game programmer: It doesn't make any sense! Why should you lose a race just because you didn't get to a checkpoint fast enough? Company executive: ALL RACING GAMES HAVE TIMERS! ADD ONE! Game programmer: OK... Company executive: Great, now it's a REAL racing game!
The year was 2000, we played it for 1 week and then went on vacation, that vacation didn't end, it was a very good game, what a beautiful day it was.

I really liked the shadow car mode, to beat my own high scores! Nice memories

This was the bundled in game for the Power VR 3D accelerator card.
