Shawn ray has always been on another level in terms of symmetry, proportions, conditioning, shape, posing everything he only lacked in height and size. Had he been bit taller or in 80s era he definitely would have been multiple times winner. Huge respect ( though I'm lee haney fan)

I dont know how each and every one of these bodybuilders does not come out on stage screaming "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED" from gladiator. These athletes sacrifice so much only to be judged by people that could not be them for a minute.

I have massive respect for all the champs, but there is something incredibly inspirational to witness people constantly dusting off the disappointments of the past and continuing to move forward.
There is a nobility in the acceptance of a loss yet getting up off the floor and trying again.
I'm inspired by the champions, but even more so by the champions of persistence in the face of adversity. These guys have the champion mindset.
If you have the champion mindset, you do your best and still do not reach the pinnacle of sport, business or any other area you are in you're still a champion. Being a champion is giving your all, regardless of outcome.
Leave nothing on the table. Give all you can. Great things are guaranteed to happen for you if you do 👍🙂💪💛

I'll never forget that. It was that event that turned me away from following events in bodybuilding as a young man at the time. It was just disgraceful. lost all interest after that. Was only Luimarco that got me taking any notice again decades later mostly out of nostalgia.

God bless Nasser. Thanks to these guys who volunteered to use a cocktail of HGH/Insulin/Synthol/etc., we have much better knowledge about the impact of these drugs on our body. As a nerd, I always found it fascinating that HGH doesn’t give adults more height, but deforms and enlarges the internal organs!

i agree.but i think Shawn deserve it more do to the fact he was constant with always coming in top shape and damn near perfect.still amazes me how he lost as well as others to a one arm,only one great body part and one who is the godfather of the start of the bubble got era.mr o is(definitely back then) a popularity contest more than a bodybuilding one.
