The first one was more accurate
As much as Marge’s voice has changed over the years her crying over Bart’s death is low key heartbreaking.
I'd say her changed voice makes this scene even more effective.
I know it sounds that way because the actress' voice has naturally aged but in this context, she genuinely sounds defeated and utterly heartbroken that she can never speak to her son again.

If I’m being honest, this is the first time a Treehouse of horror actually left me disturbed. Even my brother said the same thing.
It left me feeling cold. I had to watch something else, but just the idea that Bart was basically left in a brain dead state for his parents to care for while the toys just tortured him...

Who's to say Bart's toys won't eventually do the same thing to Homer, Marge, Lisa, and even Maggie if they were to discover their sentience themselves by just randomly stumbling onto them whenever they messed with Bart's body? Safe to say that either of them would probably be too shocked and/or horrified to fight back if that were to ever happen. Additionally, what's stopping the toys from eventually going after Milhouse too if he were to ever babble to someone about their sentience?

Or traumatized it’s not uncommon for kids 8-12 to be traumatized and without thoughts or movement after a death like that
She did feel scared when she first saw Bart as a human toy, but when she was at the doctor's and Homer and Marge were both devastated that they lost their only son from the information from Dr. Hibbert, she probably had to accept the fact that there was nothing they could do at this point, but just move on with Bart as a human toy.

A British kids show actually did a premise like this back in the early 2000s I think it was called grizzly tales for gruesome kids
I have vague memories of that show. it was pretty screwed up. One of its segments was an allegory to pedophilia; about a tiger that needed to eat children to maintain a human form.
Dude I remember that show it gave me nightmares for years
