Viola Davis need to let OJ teach a course on How To Get Away With Murder
Believe me. He didn’t get away with it. He avoided things here…when he takes his last breath…his real sentence begins. You don’t get away with things there. He’s gonna wish he paid for it here instead of there and was honest
With the whole celebrity nature of the trial, it was quickly forgotten that two innocent people were murdered in a horrific manner. Truly sad.
THIS. All of THIS.
Thanks captain obvious.
You must have so much empathy 😉.
What's equally sad is the fact that it was also forgotten that you have to actually prove that the accused committed the crime.
@@WildL23 they did prove it is just racist ass cops made it reasonable to think the cops set him up

You can tell that after he said honey baked ham, that's all Kato could think about.

Kato was probably the coolest witness ever when testifying
True! He was SOOOO witnessissy.
Kato looks like my bull dike friend, Robin 😂
I remember the trial and I had remembered Kato being almost sympathetic to OJ in how he described how OJ was behaving. But it also sounded like he was good friends with OJ.
The biggest mistake Marcia Clark made and to the defense team’s credit is she began trying to disprove the defense’s case instead driving the evidence and facts. The timeline should have been the core component in the prosecutions case and then fit the evidence around the timeline. Instead you get thousands of fragmented pieces of evidence and facts that were all over the place. The defense team had a story line: rush to judgment. They drove that narrative all the way to the bank.
Nah. It wouldn't have mattered. That jury was never going to convict OJ Simpson.
The cops blew the case by jumping Oj fence without a warrant and planting evidence. It backfired. I do believe he did it by the way.
@@princellasmith7562 He did not do it
There is nothing Marsha could have done to win this case. The jury heard the evidence. The jury heard the timeline. Marsha was handicapped by her own way of thinking. Only 1 mistake was made by Marsha Clark. OJ's people think differently than her people. But Marsha Clark didn't realize that because she never pays attention to OJ's people. A jury of Marshas people is willing to convict OJ without a smoking gun. But a OJ's peoples jury will never convict OJ without a smoking gun. The only mistake that Marsha Clark made was that she assumed she knew OJ's people well enough to think we would convict OJ without proving that OJ did it, and without a smoking gun. At the end of the day there are no smoking guns in this case and it is not a proven fact that OJ did it. A high powered attorney like Marsha Clark will never know how an OJ's people person thinks. I'm not going to destroy OJ Simpson's life without a smoking gun. You all are crazy. Would you convict your brother without the prosecution factually proving that he did it and without a smoking gun??????? No. Well why would OJ's people do that????????????
@@princellasmith7562 Exactly, because there was no smoking gun. Not only that, there was not enough proof available to factually confirm OJ did it.

OJ's son Jason did it. OJ chose to help him instead of turn him in. LAPD/DA rushed the investigation because they were mad at OJ for embarrassing them with the Bronco chase.

Marcia had a massive ego and poor questioning ability. Chris Darden was inexperienced and clearly a P. C. move by the prosecution. Put together, that's a accident about to happen.
If that trial happens today, it's done in a month, and OJ is in jail.
It was the introduction of DNA into a courtroom. No one had ever heard of DNA, and the jury didn't understand it. On top of which, the jury was primarily black, and the black community was still reeling from the Rodney King beating verdict.
Today, this would have been an open and shut case.
@@princellasmith7562 Your probably, MOSTLY, right. However, if they still had bad police practices in forensic collection and questionably immoral cops involved and as I said a rank poor prosecution, coupled with great defence team, then maybe it's hung! Let me add, I'm not suggesting that OJ wasn't involved but can you prove it beyond a reasonable doubt with all the problems I listed.
@@rakbhogal3293 out of all of that blood from Nicole's and Ron's bodies literally only one other person's blood was found there, and it was OJ's. Those were extremely VIOLENT and gruesome murders. Google the crime scene photos if you can stomach them.
Anyone involved in that would have cut themselves some kind of way, and their blood would have been there. Yet, not a single other human's blood was there. It was OJ Simpson. Period.
@@princellasmith7562 As I said, I don't doubt that. But, that doesn't mean he would be definitely found guilty. Unfortunately, that's not the way the legal system works. Which team is more competent and has the best story can overcome any evidence.... Unfortunately! History is littered with men and women that had damming evidence against them and with help from money and other variables, they got off!

She wasn't done with his pockets, plus he threatened to call the IRS on her ass.
There's no if. What planet are you from
I agree. I mean what made him snap like that and why that night? A few possible theories are #1 the Glen Rogers theory that OJ paid Glen to rob nicole and he ended up killing them or he was with OJ and things got out of hand. #2 OJ in a rage killed Ron and thus had to kill nicole since she witnessed it.#3 he just snapped for some reason. I do wonder what was happening leading up to the murders between OJ and nicole.

Wonder if the glove would of fit this guy. He lived right next door right?
They need to solve this thing already. people know what happened
They can’t solve it because no weapon or bloody clothing was ever found, and the glove didn’t fit.
They wanted him to say something he didn't see or know
Could you imagine being OJ during all this? Regardless if he did it or not; just the reality of everything and the press and peers and walls closing in and everyone is spinning you a tale. The defense is expensive; oh my God! It’s easy to talk about it but imagine being him. Unbelievably terrifying.
Tbh though I think being Kato would probably be even crazier. Imagine you are a fly-on-the-wall bud of OJs who is just an aspiring actor lucky enough to get all of the benefits of being a part of his entourage while trying to make it big in the biz and then one morning life as you know it changes immediately. One day poolside with girls at the playboy mansion with your celeb best friend, the next day you are searching for apartments and attorneys as a broke actor!
For sure! But imagine being guilty and trying to keep an act or being innocent and being in that situation. It’s a nightmare. I don’t think there could rationally be a comparison.
without all the press etc I doubt he would have managed to persuade the jury to give a not guilty verdict
You sir are an empathetic man. I respect that
Especially after killing two people he must’ve been shitting himself

0:38 What going on here? Why did Kato add “Honey bake ham” ? He understood the correlation between Swiss army “knife” and the murders so what is the significance of honey baked ham?and…then he starts to smirk but catches himself after mentioning this brand…It was an involuntary smirk/break.
My only thought was that the interviewer looked at him awkwardly, trying to figure out the similarities 🤷♂️. It’s probably nothing… edit: they are both cracking up as soon as they start discussing board of directors.
Edit 2. They have quite a frolicky relationship for just meeting. He’s crackin up in last clip too. What is so funny?

The crazy part about it, is that the jury was mostly constructed by the prosecution. She thought that a predominately female jury would convict an alleged woman batterer without proof

He been stuttering too much though this interview. I get that this happened almost 30yrs ago. But this was such a high profile case and he was a key witness in this trail. It’s hard for me to believe that he “forgot” some of the details. This is a case that is constantly about. I’m starting to believe he did take the pay out or his ass was really high back then and don’t remember
No he was high all the time. Course he dose not remember shit.

An hour and a half was the timeframe he didnt see OJ? Just enough time to murder 2 people, blood all over the place at the crime scene..no blood in the Bentley.. OJ gets home cleans up, drops a bloody glove in the back yard.. gets in the Bronco..leaves blood there and seems lonely when Kato sees him at 1130?
