Touching lyrics.
Those ain't lyrics.. but ascending order of beat counts and divisions. Vocal percussion. We Indians call it "Taal".
that joke flew right over your head
nonetheless, what Palash Chanda said is an info about Indian music culture to us western people.
But seems more important to do the BULLIES or making fun of people rather than be happy to learn something new.
Get a life, arid people. Thanks to Palash, I'm not a bully, I like to learn things.
Sounds great and Ms. Dey can sure play
"Dhhukrutikanakitika-tikadhoom-kaaritarikitatarikitadhoom"
Go figure!! Incredible musicianship. I love this. Thank you Jordan Rudess for collaborating with these brilliant musicians.
Indian classical music is something very special and unique. Though its diminishing day by day in very own country but musicians around the world know the significance of it.
Wizard knows more about Ragas than our local population. They gather info about pornstars acting in movies more , what a shame
Please don't call this Indian Classical Music! It is simply not! If we are talking about genres best keep it at fusion.
Mansoor Khan We know that lol , he just left a comment here about how Indian classical is diminishing. This video definitely isn’t classical , its fusion
Aakash Balaji haha true words
On that aspect I do agree with you.
WoW!!!...mind-freakin'-blowing. "am proud to be an Indian. And that SIR, Mr. Manjunath..is he real?! His tongue must be in a speed 20x...! God, he is so blessed.
Music unite us, you are the greatest musician Jordan, keep playing, keep inspiring
Thanks Mr Jordan! I love your interest in music from all over the world and how you share it with us. Saludos desde Venezuela :)
hey i need the tab for Dhhukrutikanakitika-tikadhoom-kaaritarikitatarikitadhoom part
Amazing collection of talented people. Groovy bass playing, awesome playing on the geoshred.
I knew you’d eventually got into indian music and Konakol ❤️
Wonderful fusion of sounds and worlds!
This happens when legends meet!!!! Those 7/8 parts were just amazing...salute to the gods of music👍
Actually, I think those were in 13/8.
This is such a beautiful mix of styles with a very joyful vibe to the whole track! I'm listening to it for the 6th time, you made me addicted to this song!!
Phenomenal fusion. Love it
Incredible Fuse -- Modern Indo classical with a Mohini twist o.O
Great work guys !! 😎🤘🤘😎
Mohini is simply sensational !
Super fine guys: I love every aspect of this collection of instruments and konnakol.
We want more carnatic prog music...this type of...
Love from india..
Well...this is music. Congrats all of you !
thanx Sir for sharing such wonderful music and collaborating with such wonderful musicians ... much respect :)
When I heard this for the first time I was like “this is pure cringe” but it stuck in my head, and I just had to listen to it more times.. after a few listenings, I must say, I LOVE THIS!!!
I'd like to see a Konnakol and Beatbox faceoff some day. Maybe time for reverse jam. "Day becomes Light", Jordan. And yeah keep the current lineup, just add a Beatbox guy. Mahesh Raghavan is most amazing with GeoShred. The kinda bends (very Indian, very Carnatic) he can do, is unthinkable on an electronic instrument.
I love that bass tone
so beautiful !!
Sounding really great!!!
love this!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Amazing and inspiring! Really cool collaboration!
Fantastic....!!!!
Very awesome!!
it's quite interesting what the people passing by thought about the person with "trikitikitakatikiitaka" while he was recording that :D
That's very normal in India that too in South India (Bangaluru). It's like ppl playing guitar on the streets in NY or Europe or whatever.. That person (B C Manjunath) can vocally beat any drum beats. There are lot of videos in case you are interested.
🤣
Greatly done!!!!!
electrifying!
That was amazing. Really interesring in many ways.
Amazing.
Can`t stop listen it))
Excellent showcasing of your app. Almost makes me want an iPad (I DON'T want an iPad). An excellent collaboration. Nicely done!
Kletak..kletum...kletak..kketum
Jordan 😍😍
Beautiful Composition
Amazing
Amazing....
Wow!!
Excellent. 👍🏼
My mind is blown! :s
Awesome!
Fabulous
Lyrics are kind of addictive
I think the real advantage of geoshred the fact that it adds another dimension to the piano. If piano keys are rectangles these are squares. More efficient. Whether it tries to replicate guitar or not is irrelevant, it increases your ability to hit notes in weird ways.
Instrument musiknya ala india yang luar biasa. Salut....hebat. From indonesia.
EPIC
Very.very nice🤠
Wow!
Been a long time since I've smiled, laughed and been generally amazed by truly imaginative music such as this track.
As a retired mediocre pub/club performer I like to listen to proper artist(e)s - they have earned their success, but I must confess to being a teeny weeny bit envious of their talent 😇👍🏻.
amazing tongue
This is Gods music
Wow

What's time signature? I can count 7's on most sections. Is it 7/8 or is it something trickier?
I could understand as far as they kick in to 7-beat signature at 0:39 from normal and then get back. But then, at 2:08, Mahesh' solo I don't know ... once again at 2:50, Manjunath, the vocals perc did something amazing. While the bground was on 7-beat, he was on a diff time signature. I'm certainly rhythmically challenged to understand this.
I watched some of Manjunath's videos on Facebook where he explains certain things. He shows 15's over 4, crazy stuff like that :-)

The count seems to be in a loop of 13 beats... 13/8 or something.
Time signatures in Indian classical music is always fucked up. Trust me I’m an Indian
hey Jordan next time do dream theater indian cover with those indian musicians
EAST eats WEST....
PIDGEONS!
i hope mohini feat Jp milenix girl drummer
im fucking dead
Mohini's afro falling on the bass strings is so OCD triggering btw
V
I'm trying to so hard to take this serious. I cannot.
I would like to listen to it without the vocals. It might be a total different expression.
carpenters
Vocals are too loud, especially at the end - I could barely hear her play ;-(
Gordon Bennett. Jordan does something musically interesting for the first time in about 20 years.
Those are tabla bols not vocal.
Love reading comments, hahaha. takaktaktakakakwssdfdfvndm;vkbdatekektk takitik tiktok-tiktok. haahahaha
I wish the bass wasn't as buried in the mix, the bass player is fantastic.
Also, is it just me or is Konakol not interesting as a vocal performance? It is a great tool form learning and practising rhythm but I find no aesthetic value in it, despite the impressive performance.
Absolutely ... I have heard this almost ten times since yday, and each time I felt the bass was kinda lost in the mix.
Konakkal is useful in a dance performance.
Keep listening and think about how best you can vocalize beats...
Cunning linguist.
It's a pity that marketing takes over better talent.. Shalini Mohan is any day a better Bassist than Mohini.. Shalini takes a composition to a whole new level with her grooves, where as Mohini is all about showboating..
I've listened to both. They're both excellent. It seems Mohini is locked into this fusion, and Shalini is more straight up Rock/Funk. As for showboating - if I could play like that, I would throw that flashy stuff in anywhere I could. Apparently, she has what some of these folks want, which is why she gets more calls than me :) IMHO they both have their place. It's a big musical universe out there!
I mean no disrespect to Mohini at all. She is a great talent, however when I listen to the two of them, When Shalini plays there is lot of Soul and it actually brings a smile on your face, with her Bass lines and compositions, with Mohini it gets a little too crowded and it gives me a feeling that it's all about her and not the composition. But to call her the best Bassist in India is a Joke, especially when there are people like Keith Peters, Josie John and Shalini herself. Again this is just my opinion.
