Siang C they can play a competitive game without it being physical. Heck it’s done every day in the regular season. Plus guys can get hurt pulling a muscle on these breakaway dunks or alley oops.
At the end of the day, i agree that it is just an exhibition game but for a long time, there was a period where you could turn on the 4th quarter of a close all star game and see something resembling a real game.

The way to make it televised is by finalizing the draft in private and have the captains call out in no particular order to create some drama. And they could even describe the players enigmatically.

The real question is how did Al make it in the first place?
Over Dummond,Kemba,Simmons,Dwight, etc etc. Out of all the people he has less production compared to them and was taken. Say whatever you want about Dwight how he isn’t good to play with, that dude still puts up solid production.
First place in the conference might have something to do with it, also a guy that actually play defense. Apart from Drummond none of those other guys are on a "successful" team. Sixers are barely in the playoffs.

Most the most part, I like Broussard but his point on why it was not televised proves how spoiled these players are.
How is it spoiled? I know guys who make minimum wage salary who would be upset that someone picked them last for anything. Some guys are just built like that. It's a no-brainer that if Micheal Jordan was picked last for the all-star game who would be livid would he be spoiled?

Alfredo Izg The purpose of the NBA draft is not to honor anybody, the aim is to provide teams, specially the worst ones, with the best college talent. The aim of the ASG is to honor the players that have worked their butts off during the season and have excelled, why make it a negative experience for anyone that have manage to get there. These guys competitive nature is what made them get where they are, they are not normal human beings. They are not going to take like you would take being picked last at the YMCA.

Your body is one, just because you have hundreds of bones and other parts to your body doesn't change the fact that everything is one whole unit and requires everything to work together.
