Months after she was elected, this mayor can't get access to the village office

  • When Molly Cason ran for mayor in the Village of College Corner, she did so on a platform of concerns about transparency. Months after being elected, she still can't access the village offices and has unanswered questions about the way things worked and continue to work.

You'd need a lawyer to check the town or city charter to see exactly what powers the mayor has. Many mayors are so ceremonial that about the only thing they can order is a coffee--at Starbucks. Had I been mayor, though, this wouldn't still be going on six months later. I'd be filing court motions before the end of the second week of access refusal. I'd also have been in touch with the state AG. Plus, the hiding of information like this _might_ be a federal civil rights issue, so there's that.

Unfortunately it looks like they copied a page out of Tahoe Tiffany’s playbook in Dolton, ILL. or more specially, an ordinance at Thornton Township. The main problem is that a court has to overturn what they did before she can legally do anything. It’s sorta like squatters taking over somebody’s home while they’re gone on vacation and then having to go through the courts to get the squatters out once the owners come home and find them in their house.

I live in a small town and it’s like in the movies. Once my neighbor has some people that wanted his land. Well he wouldn’t sell. So his cows started getting shot and poisoned. Then they destroyed all his equipment. Then my other neighbor brought his tractor to help him. He left it overnight and figured he’d grab it the next day. Well the next day he came to get it and all the wires were cut and tires sliced. Now this old guy kept calling the cops who basically said oh you’re crazy that isn’t happening. Finally he snapped and threatened to 💣 the court house. Then they committed him to a mental institution and the people ended up getting his property. Let me tell ya I have more than one story like that. They even have a no pull over list. Like city employees, city council, mayor, rich people they own stores or have oil, cattle etc. I mentioned it to a lady and she goes ya it’s real I’m on it. I passed the sheriff yesterday doing 90 on a double yellow and he just waved at me. She was dead serious she went to school with him and owned one of 2 grocery stores. The hardware store guys got caught with like 500 plants in Kansas mind you as well as cooking meth. Well everyone heard about it but it just went away. They never went to court. I picked up a cop walking down the street in uniform without his gun or badge. He had just gotten fired because he wanted to arrest the undersheriffs nephew that he had a warrant for. Well undersheriff ordered him not to. They got into an argument the sheriff came in told him you aren’t serving it and if you don’t like it you can leave your gun and badge you’re fired. I could keep going so ya super crooked.
