- With just under 400 residents, it seemed like there shouldn't be too many unknowns in this sleepy town just a few miles west of Oxford. But Cason and a few other residents ran for office in 2023, concerned with how much money the village had, how the money was being spent and why a beloved officer was let go.

The fiscal officer isn't the only one who needs to be investigated, those who conspired to give her sweetheart deal and approved it need to be investigated as well and, if necessary, need to be taken to court as well.
Like her father
Hard to believe a town of 400 has an official who makes that much.
it not a town
While EARNING 10% of it!!!
My town is 7000 and city workers making over 80k
@UnstopablePatriot
Love you liberals that cant read
The town’s books need to be audited by a forensic accountant. The fiscal officer and her father needs to be criminally investigated for fraud and embezzlement.
From what I remember hearing the new mayor won the office last year, but the old mayor refused to leave or hand everything over to her. That's a huge problem and even a bigger red flag ... what's going on ??
If there was nothing inappropriate about what they're doing they wouldn't have locked the new mayor out of the town offices, and they wouldn't be hiding all of the town's financial documents. The only reason you pull the shenanigans that they've pulled is because you're trying to avoid jail time.
Nothing good happens in the dark. Except sex maybe.
Some of these one-horse towns are run like South American narco states, it reminds me of Westerns when the bad guy who has a ranch outside of the town but owns just about everything in the town, and all the money spent ends up with him, He owns the saloon, the general store, the blacksmiths, the livery stable, the Hotel, the telegraph office and the newspaper, just one guy hasn't sold out to him yet and he is 65 years old half-blind deaf as a post and had his water supply cut off to his shack, we need Gary Cooper to ride into town and clean the place up, someone will marry him and everyone will live happily ever after,
❤
Investigate, Investigate, Investigate!!!
Corruption at its best, nothing will change
Every town and city across the United States are all over paid!
All?? Really???? Me thinks you're being overly dramatic.
@@rottdog7864 Absolutely 💯
Really. I know some who don't make much and work their behinds off since it's a small town. So not all but I am sure several
I want to see the contract and who signed off on it
Too bad we don't scrutinize EVERY politician like this. 🤷♂️
The story didn't mention that her father is the one doing all this
WTF is going on in that town ??? Talk about corrupt !!!
Friends, brothers and In-laws… wonder (FBI)… related to someone or just sleeping with someone
I'm moving to that town and applying for that job 😂 I'll work 6 days a week 😂 7 if they need me to 😁
How disgusting she is literally robbing tax payers
Corruption at its finest
He's exempt and checking emails is enough to consider that work. I have exempt coworkers who come in late, leave early, take long lunches and have "meetings" at starbuchs and are paid their full salary. Yes, they are women.
Pigs at the trough.
So the 100 days a year person makes more then a full time couty person. Thats just ridiculous. Fire thst person put them in and $35,000 part time and use thet $40,000 surplus in other area s
There are only 400 residents-
Pay officials and government minimum wage per diem!!!!!
Her salary is $75/hour. Ridiculous.
O the corruption 😅
$73k for a management position is not too much, but she should be at work at least 10 months a year
This is internal embezzlement.
Any updates?
Salary is out of control
Yeah, she about to lose that job. Good riddance.
She gets paid $1,000 a day, sweet!!!
I want that job!
Where's the clip from 6:00?

Sound like the White House no problem here every thing is fine Da
Exactly . . . When the frauds (Reagan, Bush, Trump) resided at 1600 Pennsylvania.
Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scammers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A god amongst peasants
How republicans works 😂
W o w !
I mean 73k isn’t really a lot
It is when you oversee a town of 400 people and are required only to work 26 weeks out of 52
Actually that’s not a lot of money seeing how long she’s been on the job, standard yearly salary increases could have easily accumulated over the years.
And even then, 70,000 might be a lot of money to many of you but it’s really not these days.
yeah but 120 sick days plus weekends at 104 plus holidays. She is basicially working 130 days a year if she even shows up for work. $70000 divided by work days is an average of $540 per day of work for a town of 400 people. and by the way, her father is her boss!!!!!!
Most small places like that they get paid near nothing. They take that on because its required. Got a friend whos on a small town's City Council in South GA. He gets paid about 2000 per fiscal quarter.
Eh, was'nt she awarded that salary by the outgoing council just before the new mayor came in?
I had six weeks a year myself and never used them, but every year they accrued with my salary increase.
I didn’t catch that one, if she got a significant pay increase before his exit I would view this differently.
