It’s more difficult to watch pain and sacrifice when it’s from real life, not shielded by being part of a fictional universe. But it’s so important to honor it.
I think that’s why we’re so drawn to tributes about favorite story characters who have suffered- we can relate to them without it being so raw and intimate and intense. But we know that there are realities that exist beyond the fiction, and we care deeply.💔
