There is NO DIFFERENCE in her voice/tempo from the album to this performance. Wow. There's so many nuances to notice here...she could play this in her sleep. At the very least Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...but she may need a new category all her own.

What's truly brilliant about this is how is shows the raw, sheer, naked talent of the artist... no fancy video, no lip-synching.... this is the creative process laid so intensely bare. This is live yes, but if you listen carefully this is the actual take used on the CD. She's tapping away because the drums have already been recorded and she's getting into it. And the piano part is in the middle section - it just makes sense to do it like that...
Actually BFP was recorded in Christ Church in Delgany, County Wicklow, Ireland. They built her a little box in the church to achieve the best possible sound quality, which had her piano and a harpsichord and barely enough room to turn around. Hence the delay before the line “Right on time,” that’s how long it took her to spin around and get oriented. Also, the way she recorded all her albums before FTCH in 98, was she would play and sing her parts, and then afterwards the other musicians would fill in their parts.
