LOL. Our cat is a ridiculously happy, active, affectionate, playful and healthy 4 yr old carnivore who eats mice and happily crunches on whatever leftover meats we give her....she loves all the "nasties" that humans recoil from and usually throw away....she chomps through chicken bones and fish heads, eyeballs and pork fat. She's gorgeous and super healthy. Any real meat you give your cat is light years better than the processed crap they call cat food. It's like do you give your child an apple and worry that it hasn't got the proper ratio of nutrients, or do you give her AppleJacks because the box says it has 9 essential nutrients?
Can someone educate me on how you can't feed the same raw diet forever but you aren't told to not feed the same commercial diet forever? Also, I hear people claim they don't share recipes because "every cat should have a different recipe" yet cats can share the same commercial food for their lives? I'd like to be properly educated, because my autistic ass can't do all the calculations and stuff myself, especially with how busy I am. I need a few one and done recipes to use for my average cat to cycle through and be done with it. :')
I don't know but my cats have been eating the same recipes for years and never got sick. Its just now that I do a bit of changing in the past I did give them something else from time to time but their diet was mainly chicken thigh with bones chicken liver and chicken heart and then some extra turkey through it or chicken breast
Basically commercial cat food companies don't actually care about our cats they just want our money. I mean if you look at the ingredients at the back of a cat food packet it's like only 15% meat if that. That's why many of us make our own cat food.
Commerical cat foods are nutritionally balanced to meet a general cats needs, its the same formula every single time. If you fed the same raw food they wouldnt have a balance of nutrients unless you do the math and talk to a vet to make it balanced. So you could feed the same raw everytime if you do it very precise. So the plate in the video is one day's worth of food of about 288kcal, correct? You would then portion that into 3 seperate feedings throughout the day? Seems far more...
is for everyday meal? or one or twice a week meal between other meals. also would it be recommended to blend all these together just wondering as I have two cats and one is an older cat 19 rescue and hardly has any teeth left but I want to give him the best diet possible but will start slowly obviously any suggestions would be appreciated thank you ❤❤❤

Hello, thank u. I have a question abt how often I should feed my cats(they're adults), so I started feeding them 4 meals a day (3-4 am, 7-8 am, 3-4 pm, and 10-11 pm) well, but I'm not feeding the same amount each meal. What I do is my cat Bellie needs to eat 100g/day (she's 2.8kg), so I break down the 100g on the 4 meals acc to how long the meals are separated. 3-4 am (16.66g), 7-8 (37.5g), 3-4 pm (25g), and 10-11 (20.83g). So is this right?
Hello I was excited to see this video uploaded! But I am wondering where is the source of taurine in this diet? Im just starting to learn the raw cat diet needs and I dont recall it being mentioned! Thank you :D
Any recommendations to replace ground beef/ beef liver/kidney ? My one cat is intolerant to beef and always throws up from it. I would like to give ground turkey if possible so if the amount is different and there is a different ratio for the organs I'd like to know. Thanks!

What about veggies? Does this meet AFFCO recommendations? Or close enough in a week's meal plan? My cat is outdoor/indoor and in obsessed with eating grass (wild cats also eat grasses and other plants).
That’s what I’m thinking!! Totally seems like a timesaver. I’m thinking the bone I’ll let my car have so he gets that satisfaction of biting bones still and maybe the drops of vitamin e and seaweed still go on top of the food but I think I’ll blend the rest too!
What do you suggest if you have a kitty that just WILL NOT chomp into bone? She chews meat chunks and I've had her chew a bit on silvervine. But no mater what cut or how I try to give it to her she'll ignore bone parts, might chomp once and then drops it and doesn't eat it or chew enough to get any benefits. I've had to grind the bones or mix powders into ground meats to get her proper calcium. But I want to be doing more for her dental health too. She'll chomp on me fine and even tough meat just wont to bone even lets me look at her teeth until shes annoyed. So I dont think its any eating discomfort, when i still did kibble she'd chomp the bigger treats
How long can keep that large kidney and longs in the freezer? And what if I cook them a little? My cat is pancreatits, cooked meals are easier to digest, right?
I have 2 cats and one of them is a picky eater so would it be better to blend the ingrediënts of she only eats part of her meal? I dont want her to not the proper nutritions because she skips part of her meal but the other cat also makes it tricky since he eats everything
I am new to all this. Thank you for all your videos! So I have a 6 months old kitten an would have to wait ont-il she is 1 year old? Also, should I cut in smaller pieces?
This is an adult recipe, so it would need to be altered a bit to fit a kitten's needs. But kittens can start eating raw right away! If you made homemade meals, yes you will need to cut it up relatively small for kittens
hello i have a question! hope you answer this (so i boil my cats food and want to switch to steaming then slowly go raw , as its a lil hard for me to go suddenly as its hard to find some of these parts in my area) so the steamer tray has holes right ? so while steaming the beef all of the juice drips from the holes and is wasted in the water , so my question is "can i use that water as broth ? as it contains most of the juice of whatever i steam or it would be not a good idea to do so and make my broth separately, please guide 💜🌸
What is the organ that gives the adequate amount of vitamin E, If one didn't want to use the supplement? Is it brain, I think? I just wanna make sure I'm remembering right, cause I actually have a store near me that happens to sell pork brain! Also, for the fish, could mackerel or anchovies be used instead of sardines? Or are sardines specifically the best option?
My cat doesn't accept mussels >.< any ideas on how to be more attractive for him or what could I use instead? Anyway, thank you for the info! I see we are in a good path here
Much better than kibble or even canned wet food, however I have been hearing that fish isn't that great for cats as it is not a natural prey, I wonder the same about red meat, big animals are not their natural food.
Great video! My f/babi gets cystitis every few years and im getting sick of vet recommendations. Had to laugh though because moral of the video: FEED YOUR CAT LIKE THE KING HE IS (..like he doesn’t already have me wrapped around his paw 😒). 60% of the meats are one I already cook with so that's positive & will transition him slowly. Next, I'm going to sacrifice a buffalo for him, the great king mufasa😩😂 and get a leash so he can parade me around his kingdom as we might as well make it official.
My kitty is raw food since his birth + homemade formula and yogurt but I believe that not all breeds can eat this kind of meats and especially, if you add fish too.
I have two medium hair cats that have part maine coon in them. They have always eaten kibble or can food but I really want to transition to raw. Do I not put all the meats together?
Thank you ! It is so hard to find recipes. Do you have any suggestions for senior kitties with kidney disease? I'm having such a hard time finding recipes and figuring out what he needs. Vets won't sign the prescription for the raw food diet I wa t to give him and I really don't like the prescription diets available. I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer.
I'm in this uphill battle too. They are blaming phosphates, raw meat is full of it. I'm confused...I've fed her fancy feast since I noticed her losing fangs. She was adopted at 3 yrs old. Now she's14 and has kidney failure and stomtitus. Wtf!
I'm surprised by the mussles. It strikes me that they could be more dangerous to feed due to the nature of the way they feed, as bivalves. The rest I found very informative 🙂
Love this video! I would want to ask a question about my cat’s diet. My cat eats pre-made raw but i have noticed that her poop has white spots and is too hard. The food has too much calcium but I’m not really able to feed homemade raw. Should i add more muscle meats to her food or what should i add instead to decrease the amount of calcium ? Thanks!
yes Calcium causes constipation! you must add enzymes to the diet, lots of moisture- bone broth, pumpkin, add a little fiber to the diet such as flaxseeds/psyllium husk and also coconut oil works really great to soften the stool😉 @@tinacampbell8539
I purchased some alpaca meat for my cat and thawed it in the fridge (day 1). I mixed in supplements, stored 4 ounces in the fridge, and froze the rest (day 2). Day 3 the meat was turning brown in the fridge. All the raw food videos that I've seen show this beautiful pink or red meat. Does that mean if the meat is starting to turn brown that it's unsafe to feed?
Once you have all these ingredients what do you do with it? Grind it all together serve and/or freeze? Can it be made in large batches? Ive also seen other raw recipes that call for 4000mg of salmon/fish oil…does that come from the sardines in your recipe? If you can’t get neck bone can you use another type of bone, like chicken thigh? Also I have tone of venison, can I substitute the beef for venison/deer? Thank you!
I'm gonna go way out on a limb and guess that you can get some good quality cat food, add some raw elements, vary what you feed the little critter, and see your pointy eared friend thrive
@@PawsofPreyAny thoughts about how to do proceed if your cat has absolutely no interest in anything but the muscle meat? Do you blitz this stuff up? Serve it just like this? Our cat won't go near anything but the meat and even then, needs to be confident about it tasting good.
how many times per day shoud feed my cat with raw food? and is that portion for one day? i asked due my cats do not eat everything in one single time, they just eat the whole day, when they feell hungry, and due it is raw, bactearias coudl grow fast and get them sick, thank you
can't i just use sunflower oil or olive oil as a vitamin e supplement? also love this vid, but my dog is allergic to chicken so it eliminates a huge amount of what is suggested. how do i work around this?
I have a kitten, I want to try to this for him because honestly I’m new to owning a cat and I should’ve educated myself more before i got it. Can they eat all of this everyday and never get tired or sick? I’m really new to this
Can anybody advise that how long the raw meat meal can be out there for them to consume? My cats eat really slow….does these raw meat need any special handling like frozen it for a certain period of time before they can safely feed to the cats? Thank you!
My 2cats have been eating darwin food. 1 square of 1/2 lb they will eat for 2-3 days. i gave them 3x/day 1tsp full. i put thin stew as a topper. they have kibbles buffet 247. when we travel or im too lazy they eat cat person brand, seafood flavour. must go in the fridge as soon as you are done serving everytime, so it stay fresh for few days. make sure to have Good Tupperware to safe it. Darwin gave great tupperware.
Hello, i usually prepare around 20 packs/per month for my cat. Freeze it for at least 24h, it contains also fish so maybe 72h is better...and then i'd take one out de-froze it during the night and then split it into smaller amounts during his meal times...smaller is better coz i know he eats it all...i'd never leave it out for more than 30mins...put it back to fridge and offer next time😉 i hope it helps
It would be easier if there were any natural reared and raw fed cat breeders. If you know any in the states, please advise. I'm interested in Ragdoll cats.
I'm a bit confused as in some videos the muscle meat is 65% in some 80% others 84% What ratio is the most accurate for cats? Up yo how many % I cam feed chicken hearts?
Saw a no of vets adding small quantity of rice, pumpkin or carrot...recently i stopped that... My little one is 7 months old...i dont give chicken necks because i think its still small...shall i give it now...
While the video is is really helpful, I'm curious to how I can make my cat eat other organ meats such as hearts, and bones? I feed a street cat and he will refuse to eat bones, always leaves them, they are wing bones maybe that's why? I don't think he will eat hearts though. Very picky.
I'm wondering about that too. Would it even be possible to feed your cat on whole prey items (if possible and available) for the rest of their life? Probably right? If the raw meat diet tries to mimic whole prey anyway.
It is possible to feed a cat only on whole prey items - however, it’s expensive. I believe her cheat sheet tells you how much food to give by weight for the animal’s weight and life stage. Young kittens should be fed whenever they are hungry.
You'd have to feed the amount of calories your kitty needs! Or at least the weight your cat needs daily. You can split the whole prey up in multiple feedings though yes.
Hey there, quick question for you: What is I give my dog just regular NOW Zinc supplement instead of NOW Zinc Picolinate, is there a difference? Can I still use it?
Thankyou I’ve been wanting to feed my cats raw but they never seem interested in the chicken or turkey I’ve brought home and don’t even seem to like kangaroo meat anymore? They seem to only want the crap fried food and wet food in packets

Would this guide also work for ferrets starting out on a raw diet? Thanks !
Google it.
Thanks!
I'd add some muscle meat and maybe even a little bit of organ meat like kidney, brain, or pancreas to the diet if you can
@@PawsofPrey thank you so much!!
You can also add pumpkin. I use “Kin + Kind Healthy Poops” digestion supplement and my 3 have perfect poops. You can by it online.
yes Calcium causes constipation! you must add enzymes to the diet, lots of moisture- bone broth, pumpkin, add a little fiber to the diet such as flaxseeds/psyllium husk and also coconut oil works really great to soften the stool😉 @@tinacampbell8539
Do NOT buy the pre-made Raw Pet food in the Supermarkets. It's full of very harmful Chemicals that will eventually seriously hurt your Kitty.
How many servings does this recipe make?
I purchased some alpaca meat for my cat and thawed it in the fridge (day 1). I mixed in supplements, stored 4 ounces in the fridge, and froze the rest (day 2). Day 3 the meat was turning brown in the fridge. All the raw food videos that I've seen show this beautiful pink or red meat. Does that mean if the meat is starting to turn brown that it's unsafe to feed?
Can I use frozen sardines instead or canned?
How do you grind and mix this?
How often do you feed fish?
Once you have all these ingredients what do you do with it? Grind it all together serve and/or freeze? Can it be made in large batches? Ive also seen other raw recipes that call for 4000mg of salmon/fish oil…does that come from the sardines in your recipe? If you can’t get neck bone can you use another type of bone, like chicken thigh? Also I have tone of venison, can I substitute the beef for venison/deer? Thank you!
Seriously.......they never go over this! So frustrating
My cat has a chicken allergy, what would be good alternatives for bone?
I'm gonna go way out on a limb and guess that you can get some good quality cat food, add some raw elements, vary what you feed the little critter, and see your pointy eared friend thrive
is this 1 meal fed multiple times a day or a full days worth of food that you should split?
This is a full day of food.
This is a full day's worth of food, so you can split it into small meals spread out throughout the day if need.
@@PawsofPreyAny thoughts about how to do proceed if your cat has absolutely no interest in anything but the muscle meat? Do you blitz this stuff up? Serve it just like this? Our cat won't go near anything but the meat and even then, needs to be confident about it tasting good.
Pork, Safe to feed in Japan?
I’m already feeding my dogs though.
What about eegs?❤
Should this be blended in a blender? I have 6 cats.
Is that one meal?
my cat died at 14 and i blame his diet. i didn't know any better at the time. i wish i could have prepared real food for him
I am sorry about your loss. I lost my cat at 13 and I know it was the diet.
My kittens are still 3months old and weigh around 1,5/2 kilograms would this be appropriate to feed them in a smaller amount?
how many times per day shoud feed my cat with raw food? and is that portion for one day? i asked due my cats do not eat everything in one single time, they just eat the whole day, when they feell hungry, and due it is raw, bactearias coudl grow fast and get them sick, thank you

can't i just use sunflower oil or olive oil as a vitamin e supplement? also love this vid, but my dog is allergic to chicken so it eliminates a huge amount of what is suggested. how do i work around this?
Is your dog allergic to turkey? And the vitamin E oil is super concentrated versus sunflower/olive oil. Those are my thoughts, but I could be wrong.
@@TheConsummateArtist I want to use turkey but turkey hearts and gizzards aren't so abundant
I decided to feed my cat Cornish game hen...it's closer to something she would be able to kill and eat if she had to. ?
I noticed that most ground meat sold in supermarkets has added things like rosemary, vinegar, and even "natural flavorings". Are these safe?
No
No. They are dangerous because they have added Chemicals in the food to stop it from going even more rotten than what it already is.
probably not
I have a kitten, I want to try to this for him because honestly I’m new to owning a cat and I should’ve educated myself more before i got it.
RAW pork? I thought that’s the only meat you must not feed your cat with 😮
And I talked to our vet and the breeder of our cats to 🤔
It would be easier if there were any natural reared and raw fed cat breeders. If you know any in the states, please advise. I'm interested in Ragdoll cats.

SEAWEED CONTAINS MERCURY. THE OCEAN IS LOADED WITH WITH MERCURY.
I'm a bit confused as in some videos the muscle meat is 65% in some 80% others 84%
What ratio is the most accurate for cats?
Up yo how many % I cam feed chicken hearts?
just get something in that range or study your cat
If my cat is 12 lbs could I still follow this recipe?
PORK AND TAPE WORMS.
Very picky.
If i am able to feed my kitten whole prey e.g an adult mice, do i only need to feed to him one mice only but split into several meals?
They seem to only want the crap fried food and wet food in packets
the fact i dont havd mussels & pork at all in my country, ppl do not eat these , so for mussels is there any substitute?
just buy kibble dude
Do bone broth considered dangerous too as cooking bone?
No as along as you only give them the broth, don’t give them any cooked bone ever
What about kittens? I'm having a hard time finding a recipe specifically for my 10 week old kitten. Could this same recipe be tweaked?

Can you feed them canned sardines in olive oil?
I would do sardines or fish in water
