I found that a turmeric supplement actually reduced pain by close to 50% for a few hours anyway. I view prescriptions as a last resort. Try diet, exercise, limit what you do to what extent you can, try natural things as much as possible (anti-inflammatory foods, supplements etc.)

Diclofenac and improving my diet helped my arthritis after seeing a rheumy. After a couple of years I rarely ever take meds anymore. DIET people, if you really care about your health!!!!! Anti-inflammatory foods, cut out sugar and fried foods as much as possible (I ate horribly for years).

I'm sorry to hear that you experienced heart palpitations while taking glucosamine chondroitin. It is important to always be aware of any potential side effects or adverse reactions to any medication or supplement that you are taking.
If you are looking for a substitute for glucosamine chondroitin, there are other supplements that may be helpful for joint health, such as omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and turmeric.
