A very underrated comedian. And...he was never made to look stupid for being black. He screamed, ran, panicked....just like Moe, Larry, Curley and Shemp did. They were all equal. A very funny man.

Each one of the Stooge's films in which he appeared are among the funniest they made. They still make me laugh to this day even though I have seen them dozens of times. It's amazing how expressive he can be with just a slight turn of his head or movement of his eyes. The more exaggerated reactions, etc., are top-notch as well, but those subtle things that he incorporated into his reactions are what made Dudley Dickerson a truly great comedian.

Dudley was just as funny as the Stooges in the parts he played.....sometimes even more funny. The studio execs should have used him a lot more than they did. A great actor and comedian!!!

I didn't realize that this gentleman was in a lot of different stooges episodes. I've watched The three stooges for decades and wow I didn't know he was in that many shorts . After all these years these episodes still make me laugh never gets old.
A talented man who knew his craft and was blessed by the gods of comedy with the great gift of timing. You either had it or you didn't and Mr. Dickerson had it with his body, his expressions and his comebacks. Very difficult to pull off but he was a pro and it's great to see him honored with tributes like these.

The sequence starting about 5:00 is probably the first time a black and white man held hands for an extended time in American film history. The Stooges broke many barriers!

I'm a White Man with some Cherokee Native American Ancestry. But I have a Girlfriend who lives in Great Britain named Tia Mason. She's doing everything possible to help her Mom and her little Sister with things. She's probably saving as much money as she can to afford the US Citizenship and Plane Ticket to America. Bill kennedy talked about moe quite often before his death. Bill said moe was stand up guy who would give anybody a break if it was so requested of him. He also said it was moe who suggested using a great many of the extras to jules white. Moe also told an interviewer he would do anything for a laugh even use an unknown if that's what it would take. Good to see you here. I haven't posted much on the FB group lately.
Dudley Dickerson and Mantan Moreland are only two of my most favorite actors/comedians ever!! They were not ridiculed they were superb! I have never laughed so hard while watching them perform. True actors of their day.
