Dudley would have been the perfect third stooge after the deaths of Curly and Shemp...

This scene is priceless - "This house has sho' gone crazy" will live on forever. Thanks Mr. Dickerson!

That clock double-take is probably the best double-takin in the history of film.

A bit later on in this short, but not seen in this clip, is a scene of the dinner party in the house where the guests are watching TV and of course its a picture of Niagra Falls. Someone asks for a drink of water and the Butler says “turn on anything, you’ll get it”. Sure enough, right after that, the TV tube breaks and water comes gushing out of the TV. I laughed my entire childhood over that episode and that one scene in particular.

This guy made more of the short time that he had in front of the camera than probably any of the other Stooge co-stars. His "Help! Help! I'm losin' mah mind!!!" in Hold That Lion was even repeated at least once in a later short by Moe, but it just didn't sound the same. An amazingly funny guy.

Funniest man ever not named Howard or Fine. I've seen that clip 4000 times; it's still a riot!

The moment he keeps slipping and falling on his butt is so funny!!.

This guy was a slap-stick comic Genius. My tummy still hurts from laughing. With all the plumbing, electricity, and gas stove malfunctions--the Stooges wreaking havoc at the Helm, I love how he decides to re-enter the kitchen with full rain gear!! An absolute master at the slip-and-fall. If you like this, time to move into the CLASSIC pie fight.

You know at a time actors of color were relegated to small roles and stereotypes, I have always thought he transcended this in this scene. Comic brilliance, black or white. And so nice to remember the stooges were remarkably non-racist in their time-always willing to give the stage to talent whatever it was and by whoever...and on tours not willing to give in to segregationist policy's...

This shows his range. Besides the slapstick and scaredy-cat humor, he can raise a laugh just by a sideways, suspicious glance at an object that has previously been acting up.

The whole time he was on screen for his part had me in tears 😂

Hahahaha. One of my most favorite scenes in all of the stooges was the kitchen scene! That clock double take and the lightbulb going up and down was amazing. Pardon my Scotch was a great episode to when they were straining the scotch through a chair and it completely ate a hole through it. "That stuff had teeth in it!" Or something along those lines. Got to rewatch my collection again. So many good times.

I absolutely LOVE The Three Stooges! I'm glad my late grandmother introduced me to this when I was little. 😂😂😂😂😂

He was the best part of the whole short, I thought so when I first watched it as a kid and I still think so now. It takes real comedic talent to make people laugh using body language and facial expressions!

Probably my favorite Stooges short of all time, mostly due to Curly's plumbing, and also to Mr. Dickerson's classic double-takes.

Have enjoyed the expert physical comedy of Dudley since my youth. Not only with the Stooges, but with his hilarious contribution to various other Columbia shorts as well as appearances on the Amos and Andy tv show. What can I say, he was the best at what he did, bringing laughter to millions and always to be remembered fondly.

HILARIOUS MAN !!!!... This is hysterical. I remember watching this with my dad and he couldn't stop laughing. This is pretty outrageous but it is good clean fun, (note the water). And for what its worth this is a zillion times more funny than the crap reality shows and shitcoms we got today.

A plumbing We Will Go was remade with Shemp later on but with a slightly different plot,it also gave Dudley more lines.
