There's a reason why living legend operatic tenor Placido Domingo said that Celine has the vocal talent to sing opera. He knew what he was talking about, Celine is extremely versatile. The small clips showing Celine riffing operatically, are known in opera as fioritura/coloratura, and shows a side of her gift we normally don't get to hear. Overall Celine can belt, she can sing pianissimo (lyrically/softly), she can hit both the high notes and the low notes, she's got a powerful chest voice and a beautiful lilting head voice...she's GOT IT ALL. She is truly unique, and a treasure.
For me, Lara is immensely talented as well, but she does not have the same versatility. Both Celine and Lara are known for their powerful belting, but Celine also has an extremely beautiful, lyrical, lilting head voice. There's a part in "Vole" (or "Fly", English version) where Celine floats her head voice with utter perfection. It'll bring tears to anyone who hears it. Lara has a pretty good control of her upper register as well, but Celine is in a league of her own in that department, for both beauty and control. It is always pitch-perfect, spot-on, smooth and gorgeous. There's also fioritura, and agility. Celine has incredible agility, being able to do riffs and runs and just as importantly, with precision. You literally hear *every single note* in the run. Her coloratura is always clean and immaculate. Clips of Celine singing operatically are rare, but there are moments when she tosses off dizzying coloratura roulades, going up and down the scale like it were the easiest thing in the world. And this is personal preference, but I just find Celine's voice so much more beautiful. The tone colour of her voice evokes liquid shimmering gold, blending fluidity, shine and sparkle. Lara's voice is more dry to my ears.

C5 is easy for both singers, not a problem at all. And again, this is my personal view, but I think Lara's strength is all in her belting. Celine on the other hand, sings lyrically with just as much impact as does her belts. "Vole" is an example of that. That's part of her versatility.
