    You make some very fine wildlife videos and this is another example. My wife and I really enjoyed watching this one. Especially like the Owl pair and the colorful Manakin. Thanks for sharing!

    We very much enjoy all of your beautiful and informative videos, Greg! During these incredibly dull times of covid19 travel restrictions, you whizz us off to incredible destinations, much appreciated!! What camera and cutting program are you using?

      Thanks Angela and glad you enjoy them. Camera is a Panasonic GH5 with LUMIX 100-400mm lens (GH4 used for landscape footage) and editing is done using Apple’s FCPX software.

    Great series Greg!! If you had to choose between visiting Napo and Sani, which would you choose?

    • @GregBaker57
      @GregBaker57  Před 2 lety

      Thank you Sara. They are both great birding lodges but as the videos show there are different species to see at each. Napo is a bigger, more tourist oriented lodge (and more expensive) so there will be people there that are seeking an Amazonian experience. If travelling independently you would need to make sure they understood your preferences and what you wanted to see. Sani is much more rustic and has a more obvious birding and wildlife orientation. You would not be disappointed by either.

    Bakeds, thank you both for this excellent labor of love! We’re heading for Napo next month and this really honed our anticipation. Were you using a basic torch for the night scenes?

    • @GregBaker57
      @GregBaker57  Před 2 lety

      You will need something more powerful than a basic torch for viewing birds at night but f you are travelling with guides they should have one.

    What elevation is most of this taken?! I have a small reforestation project at my ranch in Colombia at 6,800 ft elevation, what kind of birds can I expect to see?!

    • @GregBaker57
      @GregBaker57  Před 10 měsíci

      This was taken at the Napo Wildlife Centre which is only at 770 ft elevation. You can expect a completely different set of species at your elevation. See my earlier video in this series for higher Andean species, many of which will also be found in Colombia.

    The monkeys show at around 12:00 are not howler monkeys, but Woolly monkeys (genus: Lagothrix)

    • @GregBaker57
      @GregBaker57  Před 3 lety

      Yes you’re right Andrew. They’re Brown Woolly Monkeys. It’s an error in the labelling and commentary that I missed during final edits I’m afraid. I’ll see if I can edit it without too much hassle. Thanks for pointing it out.
