- This video is one of seven from a trip to Brazil in July and August 2105. It is the the third of a sub-category on the wildlife (mainly birds and mammals) of the Pantanal, covering the journey north along the Transpantaniera from Porto Jofre and including the Pousada Rio Claro and the Pouso Alegre. The trip was organised by Wild Images and led by Mike Watson.
Brings back great memories, Greg! At one of the pousadas, Joe van Os and I were walking down a narrow dirt road, and he said “Dave, turn around.” There was a giant anteater about 20 feet behind us walking down the road. We stepped to either side of the road and he walked between us, glancing at neither of us. Only in the Pantanal.
