Dodge can't you put theme on CZcams, I hate watching stuff on this bloody tablet. Too small for Spotify, ain't got apple.
I love these originals, you should get some more on,but I know ain't many left is there.
You should look into Barry Harvey from Glasgow buddy. Massive miscarriage of justice
Hey, Dodge just thought of a guy who I think would be great to interview. Ricky English, was a good friend of Dave Courtneys who organised lots of the unlicensed boxing events. Everyone likes him and he talks really well, has great stories, and knows everyone. There's a clip of him talking at the Blind begger pub, about his relationship with the late Dave Courtney. I've never seen him do a proper interview but he's mentioned a lot in books.
Definitely, The Best Podcast Going! And, for those who disagree, we shall agree, That This Is One of The Very Best Podcasts! Let's Go! đŹđ§đȘđ»đȘđ»đŹđ§

Great podcast, old school gangster with a good moral code , a dying breed.
Fascinating interviewâŠThanks Dogde.I am glad you interviewed him 1st before he does to âPodcast TourââŠ.I still think we will be talking about the Essex Boys case for a very long time âŠKeep up the great work â.
Ronnie Field possessed a remarkable talent for assuming the role of an upstanding citizen while simultaneously engaging in audacious acts of lawlessness; impeccable fashion sense, magnetic charm and undeniable charisma were the very qualities that bestowed upon him the title of "gentlemen", despite his involvement in illicit pursuits.
Really enjoyed this one dodge, hope your well mate
Great Chanel Great interview old school đŹđ§âïžđŹđ§đŹđ§
His nan sounds like a great woman
This guy has Frankie Fraserâs voice!

I love your podcasts good guests, but this one was right up there.
I was in high down and was invited into this fantastic manâs company. I was honestly honoured when Ron wasnât doing to good ( heart attack). The job that he was doing in highdown . He recommended me and showed me the ins and outs of what to do on a daily basis. He is a gentleman, as he alludes to there are so many, TEN GRAND STANS , that are full of crap , he is the real deal . Thank you Ron . And Thankyou dodge for getting this fantastic MAN ON âïž
Youâve not disappointed me yet Dodge.. thank you. The old fella you sat down with is obviously part of the crime history that needs to be archived and youâre doing a great job.. đđŒ

Yet again a most excellent of interviews, I don't know who us next .But this is quality TV. Its there for history as you say. I'd love to know what their lives were like, you know after the slaughter. Where did they go ,how was the trust, who how and why . The deception within ,the grasses, what they got up too in the jails .Great stuff dodge keep em coming.
Frankie frazer kinda vibes from this guy , top man good podcast đ
Well done dodge you did a great job trying to ask questions not always easy due to his age but better than other s I watched of him
Now that's what you call a good podcast. Thank you to you both.
I have really enjoyed your podcasts, especially the SAS/ SBS/Military guys. All very humble, and they have seen things must of us would shit ourselves at. But these 'gangster' bully criminals I haven't got the time for. Each to their own.
Best podcast by far at the moment. đđŒđđŒ
Absolutely loved this, love listening to all the old traditional gangsters. All my grandads era and abit after, he was a boxer and had photos with the krays and so on in his albums. He had a few stories of old too. Great work Dodge. COYIS
Wowsa, so good to see him these days! I was well privileged to be a pen pal of his in Highdown. We exchanged many stories that we could relate. I also used to collect postcards, such as a pint of beer, fish n chips etc. I sent him a book written by Kate Kraft. Ronnie F wrote a lovely encouraging paragraph from Ronnie K. He also posted it to Charlie K who wrote God Bless and signed it and put xx. Ronnie also invited me to a private party at a wine bar (he was still in Highdown). I were treated so well by the faces. Esp Cornish Mick and his wife. I soon learned it was a contributing night to look after those inside. I wasnât allowed to spend a penny, had wine by the bottles in an ice bucket. Constantly checked up on by the guys. Time to go home, was gonna catch the last train. Ooh no! They called a taxi and slipped me the money to pay for it. They donât make the Underworld like they used to. The streets are full of HATE and GREED. Hence my exit to live a nice quiet life! Hooge thanks to Dodge and Ronnie for the memories â€.
Spot on once again đđ»

Too young for the Green fifties⊠it was all about the pinkies đ°
I wonder how many Ronnies were in the criminal underworld back in the 50s and 60s.
Don Barrett super grassed twice, people think that once you grassed you are a dead man walking, but it's not like that, several have grassed and gone about their business as normal, they are serious people who walk heavy. If you went for him you had to make sure he didn't walk away from it. Barrett was a well-known expert robber. Plenty of people still wanted to work him
I love how he still uses the old street lingo... Ol Bill, a grass, etc.
Nice 1 dodge
Excellent stuff.. Proper gangsters.. Not like the plastic one's now
Crimewatch supergrass episode about don barrett good watch and hes in bankrobbers documentary on youtube
They sent me tea and sugarđđ
He said he was born in 1946, and his first prison sentence was when he was 4o odd years old, (1986 ish) yet he said he wasnt active in the late 70's early 80's because he was in prison???
I think he is getting his years muddled up.
Im sure he must have done prison before his 40's because ive heard his name mentioned involved with crime in old books talking about vilains in the 60's and 70's. And ya dont really get ya named mentioned untill you get caught.
What a man
I never had a đ« well I did I just threw it down the embankment LOL
47:45 DAVE C. Went from a guy I was reading his book in Belmarsh at 21 in 2002 and thinking he's a stand up geezer, looking up to him, even though the book (stop the ride i wanna get off) was a bit like a james Bond movie...Next time I ended up in Belmarsh 07 approx. I'm seeing him in person, now I'm around faces constantly and he's looking like an actor more than a gangster to me, a bit gutted really coz I was gonna get his book autographed by him and didn't even bother after seeing bow he noved in there... always telling stories about the past and surrounded by muppets, don't get me wrong, he's not a mug but I'm at a point where I see him for what it is, not what I read...Still, last time i saw him on a visit, shook the man's hand and exchanged pleasentries. RIP D Courtney
Finally, someone tells the truth about the Krays! They were by far the biggest and most powerful gangsters of their time. Nobody did has much violence as these two. Far more feared than the Richardson who never murdered, shot, or even stabbed anybody. That type of violence was everyday business for the Twins. Everybody was petrified of them. Even Pyle admitted he brought them in on the casino business with George raft without even putting up a fight. He had already been tried for murder at this stage, and even he was intimidated by them. Even foremen would not cross them. Most gangs have one psychopath amongst them. The twins were two together, always together. They did what they wanted when they wanted for 13 years, far longer than any of the other gangs and nobody ever did anything to them. The gangster who slashed spot back off when he called them in protection didn't even show for the fight they had premised. People don't realise what they were, to absolute lunatics! Richardsons lost the first fight they had, noone heavy was scared of them. I am no hero worshipper, but the facts are there.
You are looking through rose tinted spectacles, the Krays were gay psycho thugs and useless business people that lived in a flat. They were only famous because they were caught. More myth and hype than substance. There were more families that were richer, clever and naughty. As Ron says on here he will only talk on here about those that are dead!
I bet he could do another podcast long of all the people who got away with pieces of work and murders?
Been a perm resident of Canada 8 yrs now.Sounds strange Dodge mate ,im Sth London and I miss the old school accents
Now the Canadian teens are trying to sound like yardies... Wa gwan mans.
