As you may already know, air purifiers are quite helpful devices to have in your home, especially if you or anyone in your home is prone to air pollution or if you just want to minimize your exposure to dangerous air contaminants.
However, once you have an air purifier you won’t get the most protection out of it unless you position it correctly in your home. So in this video we share the 10 most important points on where best to position an air purifier.
In a nutshell, air purifiers should be placed in an obstruction free area. To ensure optimal airflow and air purification, they should have a clearance of at least 2 feet from other objects on all sides where they extract and release air. Air purifiers are best placed in the most polluted and occupied rooms of a home.
Once you understand the need for clearance and tackling air pollution by placing your purifier as close to the source of pollution as possible, then you can start to consider all the other factors entailed in positioning your air purifier for the best results.
You can typically put your air purifier anywhere you wish in the room so long as it has enough CFMs to provide at least 3 air exchanges per hour. Air exchanges are really the key moreso than where you place the unit. So you typically want to supersize your solution for your cubic footage. For ex. I have an air purifier that can reasonably accomodate 6,400 cubic ft. and I put it in a space that is about 3,500 cubic ft. Therefore, I get many air exchanges in my space regardless of the fan speed.
The cable is too short to place it in an optimal spot, it will always be near a socket or in other words near a wall...
That's true. But you can use an extension cable or place a floor socket in your home or office depending on your setup.
Thank you 😊
If the purifier sucks air in from one side and blows clean air out from another, which side should face the wall?
I own a few brands currently and many brands over the year's.... each room will be different because of furnishings and ceiling height! For my winix 5300-2 air cleaners I place on a stand of some sort to maximize the front intake of dirty air and it can be placed against a wall...my IQAIR sucks dirty air from the bottom so I have it on a small bakers rack and more in the center of the room. Best investment...high lumen flashlight...shut lights off when its dark and you will see what is what! Good luck
lol pfff
"JUST PLACE THEM EVERYWERE WE SELL EM!"
Should i trun on air purifier all the time? 24 hours.? Its useless or not.? Please give me sugestion..
Hi TheEfrattio you should run it all day long like a fridge. If you want to save on filters turn it on as soon as you get home. But for best results run it 24 hours
Can i place on floor?
Air purifiers are usually placed on the floor or table. Then you have wall and ceiling mounted units as well
water is wet
Your voice sounds very robotic, which makes it difficult to listen to. It's unnatural, consider speaking as if you are a real human made of carbon atoms so you don't give people a headache
If the purifier sucks air in from one side and blows clean air out from another, which side should face the wall?
Great question. The air outlet should face the wall
