- David DePinho served in the Indiana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (SDA's) from 1990-1997 in addition to serving as a military chaplain and civilian pastor. He has a double major in religion from Andrews University and a Master of Divinity from the Seventh-Day Adventist Theological Seminary. So what made him leave Adventism? @@rayray4192 I haven't read all her writings and neither have you...That's why I'm not quick to make a conclusion. Wise people tread carefully. The whote estate has answers for all the accusations why those answers don't count is a mystery. When one goes into research looking to prove something one already believes its difficult for that person to stay objective because they're looking to find proof for what they already believe. Real research is about looking for truth and letting the chips fall where they're supposed to.

Thank you for your ministry, Myles. Just came across your channel the other day. I am currently interacting with a co-worker who is a Seventh-Day Adventist, so your insights are helpful. I have been a believer since ninth grade...about 51 years ago. Have had numerous opportunities to witness to Catholics, JWs, Mormons, SDAs, and others through the years. You and David made reference to adherents who see everything in Scripture through the lens of the founding father/mother of the sect, and how difficult it is to get a cultist to grapple with Scripture apart from their church's teachings/interpretations. Anyway, David mentioned that such people are like a vehicle stuck in a rut. So true! Seemingly impossible to get them to think outside of their denominational creed. What popped into my head while listening to you and David talk was a remembrance of a cartoon from 50-60 years ago on Saturday mornings where a rooster (or a dog) had a little dog circling him repeatedly saying, "I know something that you don't know! I know something that you don't know!" In talking with cultists, it is apparent that they believe they have an insight and/or beliefs that noone (other than their own group) else knows...and that in order to know the whole truth you must believe exactly what their cult broadcasts via print and media. Yep, like the little dog saying, "I know something that you don't know." God bless you, Myles, as you continue serving the Lord.

At first we must accept that we cannot talk about the THIRD TEMPLE without knowing the FIRST TEMPLE with his main purpose revealed through all existing THINGS which are TAUGHT(explained) by all LAWS of the TEMPLE as God’s DWELLING “PLACE”
This is why God said to Moses:
Exodus 25:8 And let them make me a sanctuary(temple) that I may DWELL among them.
Through all THINGS existing inside the FIRST TEMPLE was revealed Christ AS ALIVE TEMPLE… (John 2:21-being the second TEMPLE as second part of God’s plan of salvation so that we will be the THIRD TEMPLE os third part of God’s plan of salvation in 2Thes 2:4 1Cor 6:19 1Cor 3:16).
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this TEMPLE, and in three days I will raise it up.
John 2:21 But Jesus spake of the TEMPLE of his body.
1Cor 3:16 Know YOU not that YOU are the TEMPLE of God, and that the Spirit of God DWELL IN YOU ?
John 6:63 WORDS ARE SPIRIT.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of GOD DWELL IN YOU(Exod 25:8). Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
In John 6:63 WORDS ARE SPIRIT.
But Colos 1:26 make clearly that ONLY TO SAINTS(Rev 14:12 John 17:17 Psa 1:2) will be revealed God’s MYSTERY called CHRIST(Colos 2:2,3) and so is clearly that you will never KNOW Jesus AS CHRIST being the ALIVE TEMPLE(second temple without OBEYING Jesus in verses like John 6:44,45 to be TAUGHT by His Father who beginning with Exodus 24:12 have Laws as TEACHING explaining ALL THINGS(Hebrews 11:1 Number 4:15 Ezekiel 44:8 Ezek 5:11) existing inside the TEMPLE to reveal God’s characters of love being practically revealed by Jesus AS SON being the SECOND TEMPLE to be practically revealed in YOU being the THIRD TEMPLE being God’s SON(Gal 4:6 Rom 8:14 John 1:12).
Having Father’s LAW given to YOU beginning with Exodus 24:12 as Jesus commanded you through many verses like John 6:44,45 to have THE LAW in Galatians 3:24 as your schoolmaster to bring YOU to Christ inside the holiest of the TEMPLE(Hebrews 10:19,20 Ephes 2:6 John 4:22-24) the first THING which you will meet inside TEMPLE will be the altar of sacrifices with the LAMB which now is Galatians 2:20(Rom 12:1) representing God’s character of LOVE as Father GIVING HIMSELF being in Christ crucified(2Cor 5:19 John 3:16).
This first THING of the TEMPLE is revealing also the character of LOVE of His Son crucified GIVING HIMSELF being in LOVE for us(Gal 1:4 Ephes 5:25 1Tim 2:6 Tit 2:14).
But according with Galatians 2:20(Rom 12:1) this first THING of the TEMPLE is revealed also YOUR character of LOVE GIVING YOURSELF being crucified TOGETHER WITH Christ so that you will not be anymore AS LORD on the throne of your ways of life.
Because the other sacrificed lamb inside the earthly TEMPLE was representing YOU in Galatians 2:20(Rom 12:1).
For this reason Jesus called YOU to take YOUR cross which you will need in Galatians 2:20 to be free from sins(Rom 6:7) so that after Galatians 2:20 YOU CANNOT SIN ANYMORE(1John 3:9 1John 5:18) having God’s original 10 commandments Exodus 20 as 10 blessings always telling you that YOU CANNOT SIN ANYMORE being died in Gal 2:20 having ONLY Christ AS LORD in you being God’s THIRD TEMPLE.
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified WITH Christ: nevertheless I live; yet NOT “I”, but Christ live in ME(2Cor 4:16 Rom 7:22) and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by THE FAITH(Rev 14:12 Hebrews 11:1) of the Son of God, who LOVED ME, and GAVE HIMSELF for ME.(Rom 12:1).
Hopefully you will obey Jesus in verses like John 6:44,45 to go to His Father to understand the first 5 books of the Bible to know all 3 parts of salvation revealed inside the TEMPLE through ALL existing THINGS which are TAUGHT(explained) by ALL Moses’ Laws to have ALL THINGS inside YOU revealing ALL characters of LOVE as FAITH(Hebrews 11:11 Rev 14:12 John 17:6,26 Rev 14:1).
Without obeying Jesus in verses like John 6:44,45 to study the first 5 books of the Bible to understand all 3 parts of God’s salvation plan revealed in all details inside the FIRST TEMPLE you will NEVER KNOW Christ(Colos 2:2,3) as SECOND ALIVE TEMPLE(John 2:21) and you will be always more strongly deluded about the THIRD TEMPLE(2Thes 2:1-12).
Without knowing ALL THINGS of the FIRST TEMPLE which are TAUGHT(explained) by ALL Laws of Moses you will have as forever Christ and His church only a MYSTERY(Colos 2:2,3 John 2:21 Ephes 5:32) because Colos 1:26 is clearly saying that ONLY TO SAINTS(Rev 14:11 John 17:17 Psa 1:2) is revealed God’s MYSTERY(Colos 2:2,3 John 2:21 Ephes 5:32).
Eph 5:32 This is A GREAT MYSTERY: but I speak concerning Christ AND the church.
Hopefully you was able to see all these verses telling you about the only one WAY TO Christ so that beginning with John 14:6 you can have Christ as only one WAY TO the Father.
And now having a summary knowledge of the FIRST TEMPLE to have knowledge about the SECOND TEMPLE and the THIRD TEMPLE you will NEVER hear INTERPRETATIONS of any Bible verse because the Bible MUST always have her own INTERPRET (verses explaining other verses) telling you about the only one possible TEMPLE in the NEW Testament revealed by ONLY few verses 1Cor 6:19 1Cor 6:19 to make clearly that we are the only one TEMPLE as being the THIRD TEMPLE in 2Thes 2:4 when trough their digital god AI we will be forced to be a TEMPLE for the new God of the new Bible created by the digital god AI robot with the purpose of their new world order having the new religion called Chrislam.
In John 1:1 the Word WAS God and the new digital word WILL BE made as OUR digital GOD in 2Thes 2:4 (1Cor 6:19 1Cor 3:16).
Rev 13:14,15 is about preparation for 2Thes 2:4 GIVING LIFE to the IMAGE of the BEAST(5th kingdom-Daniel 2:44 Daniel 7:23) putting the WORDS OF LIFE(John 6:68) inside the digital GOD AI robot HAVING someday all power to speak AS TEACHER(preacher) IN THE PLACE OF CHRIST AS TEACHER(John 3:2) finally having also the power to speak to be killed all who will not go on SUNday to church to bow their knees(worship) praying in the front of the IMAGE AI at the beginning and the ending of TEACHINGS(preaching) of the digital TEACHER AI IN THE PLACE OF CHRIST teaching us from the new digital Bible preparing us for the new world religion Chrislam.
In Rev 13:14,15 cannot be about HUMAN BEING AS IMAGE because to HUMAN BEING CANNOT BE “GIVEN LIFE”.

I will not listen to these former SDA fools babbling about what is wrong with the church. If they don’t like it leave and see what else is out there. Sure, lots of Sunday churches. I do hope these know it all fools turn back to the true church before it is too late. Mrs. White foretold what would happen before the end, that the very elect would turn into the snares of Satan. She was correct, we are assaulted every day by their lies, trying to lead members out of the church, and lie to keep others from joining. Don’t be taken in by their lies.

As a former SDA of 35 years, I studied my way out and it is good to know that many others have come to the exact same conclusions independently and now I find them on the internet with wonderful Christian ministries reaching out to people and warning them of the dangers of this false system known as Seventh-day Adventism. 🙏♥

Well an example is that Ellen white claims that to reach salvation you must reach perfection this is when she says in the watchman 1907 this is her quote btw to be redeamed is to cease from sin which contradicts the Lord’s Prayer plus the bible says that no man will cease from sin even with god until they are in heaven but Ellen white claims otherwise

I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of the different people you have on here in your ministry to former adventists and christians as a whole. It helps me understand how to relate to the different ideas I hear from fellow believers on the specifics of how Christ will return, what order things take, what it looks like when we die as believers, etc. I remember the first time I heard Adventist official doctrine being described as "doctrine's of demons." I had to hide my surprise...but as I studied, I came to the same conclusion. I am careful how I talk to newly out of SDA Christians and my other friends and family still in that denomination. Each needs to hear the Gospel in a different way. Their theology may be weird...but that is not what matters. God bless you and your ministry.

I haven't read the writings of all the books of ellen but her one book Healing ministry I read it over n over with prayer I try to obey the Health Chouncels my health impruved little by little my health became ok until now still reading digesting the counsels its inspire d by God be coz my spiritual life n health so good good better n I know long life I'm 71 years old learn a thousand counsels on diet n health God Bless this book hope many people will be Help
I cannot follow someone reasoning and saying that the Sabbath is not in the New Testament. We have the ten commandments with the Sabbath being the fourth and Jesus died to pay the penalty of transgressing the law of God, and suddenly this ex pastor says that the fourth commandment vanishes in the New Testament and that now Jesus is our Sabbat, that we rest in Him from our works. Well, that does not add up. Why not? Because people have been saved by faith since the fall and the law with the Sabbath being the fourth of it was still observed. Event Jesus told the disciples to pray that when they have to flee from Jerusalem, they should not flee in the winter or on a Sabbath day.
You just contradicted yourself. If people have been saved by faith and not through the law since the beginning then in your own words it's faith that saves and not the written law given to Israel

Read Hebrews 11, all of those people in the old testament time, were accounted righteous by Faith and not by keeping the law. We don't have the strength to keep the law, but Jesus can give us that strength.
As his custim.was he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to preach. Paul kept it too. Isaiah referred to the keeping of the Sabbath in the new world. The Sabbath was instituted long begire there was a Jew

This pastor is kindhearted and did not offend anyone. The message of God’s mercy radiates from his smile.
However, I’m not sure he answered the question about God’s only commandment that started with “Remember…” it’s true that Jesus alone saves! But This is what He taught his disciples in the synagogue and temples every Sabbath.
Jesus taught every day of the week and he taught Jews gathered in the synagogue on sabbath. He also walked on water and spat into men's eyes to make them see. All the apostles and Jesus were circumcised on the eighth day. I don't think *everything* Jesus did we're supposed to do. We are to follow God's instructions to us as a Church and as individuals. The sabbath is not given to anyone in the new testament to religiously follow.
All new testament Christians should get enough rest on Saturday so they will be rested up for Sunday morning also

Based on Ellen White's teaching, the early Christians were working Sunday through Friday and keeping the Sabbath until the Catholic Church "changed" it to Sunday, and this had something to do with Sun worship. Historical fact shows early Christians meeting together on the first day of the week, preaching, and taking up collections for anyone in need. Ignatius of Antioch (who most likely personally knew John, the writer of Revelation) wrote a letter to the magnesians, and clearly shows the early Christians met together on the first day of the week since the day the tomb was found empty. I don't know how adventists can tell a Jewish person that they keep the old testament Sabbath while playing the piano or any other musical instrument. Not to mention, why would God keep almost 2,000 years of Christians from knowing the "truth" of keeping the wrong day? They didn't know they were meeting on the wrong day for almost 2,000 years?

The majority of Christian history has affirmed Sunday sabbatarianism. This is indisputable based on the historical record. Modern day has been the least dominant period of that position. And David isn’t a sabbatarian.
History ebbs and flows. This is just more newspaper theology that reads the headlines into the Bible assuming you’re the final generation. Adventists said this same thing in the 1880s. Every generation has their favorite newspaper theories that are going to be the end.
You may be right about the volume Sabatarian sentiment. However the difference now is the inclusion of law and with it coercion. The populists will demand it at some point. Turmoil is coming. "Back to God" sentiment, such as was seen immediately post 9/11, but exponentially greater. I'm on a short leash, so I won't get to say, "I told you so."😂❤

So here’s the thing with me. I grew up SDA and fell away. I heard of the great controversy and I dabbled in it but didn’t think much of it. I never read it. Just heard about it. Now thing have change as I studied theology, was a missionary then went to seminary and learned about it from Studying the Sanctuary doctrine and studying the atonement. Never read anything she said on it. The great controversy isn’t anything revolutionary it’s simply a narrative constructed from simply paying attention to narratives concerning events in heaven. Again have never unread her books because I was super annoyed by the level of attention people gave them and I simply didn’t care to parrot anything she said.
I have no doubt that EGW *started* off self-deceived but I am not sure about her sincerity going forward. Perhaps if I did not see a REFUSAL to admit to stealing people's work and PERHAPS if she was not so mean to those who disclosed her deception and PERHAPS if I did not see BLATANT LYING about her theft of other work and supression of the things she got wrong PERHAPS if I did not see the financial benefit then MAYBE I would give her more benefit of the doubt. And the most egregious to me is the "thus saith the Lord" when it was clearly taken from the work of others.
I have no issues with someone being WRONG and strenously wrong about their beliefs. BUT her FRUIT tell us more and I don't know if on her DYING BED she repented so I don't know where she is but the evidence (look to her treatment of those who dared to say she was wrong esp the LEADERS in the Church) and tell me if that is how a Christian or anyone close to God would behave. This was much more than self-deception.

In the Greek the word rest is not in the NT nor in the Septuagint. The words "complete cease/stop" are.
In the Setuagint and in the Greek God did not rest on the seventh day, He competely ceased to create.
English apologist have huge issues due to theri translations.
In the Greek the word anapavsi(rest) and katapavsi(completly cease/stop) sound similar, but they re different words. If I remeber correctly, even in the Hebrew the word is stop, not rest.

Rev ch 14 is the last warning to a fallen world. Preaching the everlasting gospel which is the threefold warning in revelation 14 is the mission of the SDA church. I would hardly say that is majoring in the minors. Most evangelicals dont even know what is in Revelation 14.

Maybe you haven’t read Hebrews, but yes, Jesus is the substance of the sabbath. That’s precisely the authors point in the whole book of Hebrews-Jesus is a better priest, mediator, sacrifice, king, sabbath, etc. All of what came before in the Old Covenant was a shadow with Christ being the substance of it all. This doesn’t mean he isn’t the Son of God.

Dear Answering Adventist, I like your videos, however, I must say many of Ellen G White's prophecies seem to be coming to pass now. I'm not an Adventist but almost was. The reason I am interested is because if she was right, we really have to pay attention. That church is very advanced as per prophecy teachings and I do believe evangelicals are far behind. I think we can learn alot from some of their teachings, but some others are kinda off the chain.

It's fair to leave the denomination if you don't adhere to their teachings than to start new "flavor of Adventism." There are many people who are coming to Adventist church from other denominations. Everyone should listen to their conscience. I just find it terribly boring spending your life on one thing you left and you don't like anymore. Studying the Bible and preaching positive message of what you actually believe is so much more satisfying.
When I was Adventist, the only belief I had that was aligned with the conservative wing was the health message. I was and still am vegetarian. All of my other beliefs were from the progressive, liberal perspective. I supported Easter and Christmas, the trinity doctrine, ignored their views on the Sunday Law and papacy, ignored the doctrine that Jesus is Michael, I viewed Ellen White as a religious teacher rather than a prophetess. But the 28 fundamental beliefs they promote on paper I accepted.
What views do you ignore on the sunday laws? Sdas believed in the bible from Genesis to Revelation and thus said the Lord. How can they be wrong or be teaching false doctrine. Your misundersting about the bible has no bearing on the teaching of the sdas, so if you leave the sda church, they did not let you do so, you did so because what the bible said, there will be a falling away first from the truth church before he comes. What happened you found out when Jesus comes for what you actually turned away from is the actual truth, then what are you going to do then? it will be too late, and God will say to you, "depart from me I know you not." SDA Church says that isn’t valid. You have to have the “spirit of prophecy” to accompany it.
Those other Sabbatarian churches do not have the SDA theology of the Sabbath. Where Christianity is concerned, one can keep the Sabbath so long as one isn't contentious about it or make it salvational, and a test of fellowship. But sadly, SDAs do all three things and therefore out of line and is totally different from those other Sabbatarian churches.

Now virtually the entire world of biblical scholarship interprets "the written code, with its regulations" as the law of Moses, including the 10 Commandments.
But because SDA's have to hang onto the seventh-day Sabbath at all costs, they have come up with absurd interpretations.
Adventists are not intellectual in a scholarly sense. If they were, they'd have to jettison their doctrines and traditions.
It seems like everything SDAs put out there is ultimately a delivery vehicle for keeping their version of the Sabbath and accepting Ellen White as a prophet. Those two things lurk below the surface of everything. A person could probably be a Satanist, but if they said, "I still keep the SDA Sabbath, and that Ellen White was a pretty sharp cookie," an SDA person would say, "Well, there is hope for that person. I agree, I find the same thing happens in people across the wide range of false beliefs. The scriptures talk about the mind and the heart being linked, as I understand it, not just as the brain. We are deeply influenced by more than facts, even when they are obvious facts. This is why it takes people a long time for their twisted thinking to heal.
