This band was older then The Rolling Stones, This line-up was longer in sevice then ZZ-Top, Jimi Hendrix personally asked Rinus if he woulf join his band... Riny declined... in 1975 The Who asked Cesar if he would replace Keith Moon... he also declined and stick with Golden Earring. They opened for LEd Zeppelin in 1969, had Aerosmith, KISS, Ted Nugent open for them, later Ted wanted them in his Rock show all star lineuop.

They're the biggest rock band to come from the Netherlands, and the Dutch fans showed up in droves for these big concert events.

Tremendous band that always jams out some of their best songs live, try Vanilla Queen at Rock Palast 1982 or The Twilight Zone at Ahoy 2006, those shows are killer! Enjoy. 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎶

Golden Earing has always been one of the best rock bands to see live.much better than the studio albums. Some of the best guitar solos by George Kooymans, bass solos by Rinus Gerritsen and drum solos by Cesar Zuiderwijk,Barry Hay playing guitar and flute was also great. The live versions of Radar Love,Twilight Zone and the Vanilla Queen are as good as they come. Thanks for this one you two.

Golden Earring where started before Beatles and Stones,, by George Kooymans and Rinus Gerritsen, had their 4th usa tour them opeming for Led Zeppelin, had The Who ask the drummer to drum with them, because Keith Moon was too unpredictable, had Jimi Hendrix ask the bassplayer personally, please be my basplayer, but they all stuck to Golden Earring... Golden Earring's line-up afte5r some changes, was longer lasting then ZZ-Top existed, and THEY where the record holders for being all original members, Golden Earring had members leave, but the 4 piece Barry Hay ( vocals)/guitar/flute) George Kooymans ( vocals/guitar) Rinus Gerritsen ( all basses..all of them, double neck, contrabass, ) and Cesar Zuiderwijk ( percussion master, drums, conga's, bongo's, Japanede drums, tribal, you name it, he plays it) Had KISS opening shows with them headlining, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, who returned the favour by adding them to his circustour, co-headlining with Sanatana, took Led Zeppelin's speakerset apart after a show, measured all wired, resistances, coils and such to make their sound as big as Zeppelin. Yet only adfter the 1990's they finally started collecting money from their records, bacause everytime usa...it was mayhem, they probably taught Led Zeppelin a few nefariuos things in party, abuse of substance and whatnot
